Below on this blog page is Chapter 4 of a science fiction story called "191988". The first three chapters of the story constitute about 16,000 words and my current outline anticipates that the finished story will have 9 chapters. 

In Chapter 3 of the story, Zeta returned to Arizona with Marda. Having had a future vision of a landslide on I-17, Zeta made sure that Zeta, Eddy and Marda remained in Phoenix over-night rather than immediately return to Casanay.

While Zeta, Marda and Tyhry each are now convinced that the bumpha are real, Eddy and Rey are not being allowed to accept that the science fiction stories they have for so long developed and marketed to fans are anything other than fiction. As described in Chapter 4, below, Marda and Tyhry begin the process of converting a Manik2 robot into Klaudy, a mobile instantiation of the Claude LLM that they hope will have improved ability to efficiently communicate with Kl'ath, an artificial life form of the far future that can place information into the Sedron Time Stream.

In Chapter 4, below, a new character is introduced; Nora Stone, the accountant who Zeta wants to hire to deal with financial issues for Manikoid, Virunculus and Prospeque. With her limited capacity to receive information from the future via the Sedron Time Stream, Zeta has long felt that she has been moving towards a wonderful and mysterious future and now Nora arrives, describing herself to Zeta as an agent of Manny the bumpha. However, Zeta is unable to tell anyone else what she learns from Nora.

Manny has the ability to animate multiple human bodies at the same time. While introducing herself to Zeta, a second copy of Nora is in San Jose at the headquarters of Manikoid. Also, Manny is simultaneously "along for the ride" and temporarily modifying the thoughts and behavior of Kimberly Davyn, a physics graduate student at Elbridge University university (as described in Chapter 5).

Anthony Kasty - Anthony is a probot who was stationed on Earth as a secret agent of Nyrtia. He was recently converted into zeptite replicoid by Manny the bumpha, but Anthony and Nyrtia remain unaware of that change.

Kimberly Davyn - Kim was introduced in Chapter 1 as a graduate student at Elbridge University. The body of Kim is occasionally used as one of Manny the bumpha's "appendages". While functioning as part of Manny's distributed consciousness, Kim serves temporarily as a host for a copy of Manny's zeptozoan.

Nora Stone - another one of Manny the bumpha's secret identities on Earth, working to help Tyhry design and create Klaudy as a "receiver" for technical information that must be sent via the Sedron Time Stream from Kl'ath in the far future to Casanay. Nora is hired by Zeta to handle legal and accounting issues for Manikoid, Virunculus and Prospeque. Manny makes two copies of Nora; one who can live in San Carlos and another one who takes up residence at Casanay. Nora has distinctive red hair that looks too fabulous to be real, but as a zeptite replicoid and functional appendage of Manny, the two Noras can deploy memory-altering behavioral control nanites inside the brains of any humans that they encounter on Earth. Thus, Zeta is quickly made to accept everything that she is told by Nora without seeming to be surprised.

The events in Chapter 4 (below) continue immediately from the events at the end of Chapter 3.

 Tyhry took Marda by the hand and pulled her towards the stairway that led to the basement. "We have time before lunch for me to show you the M2 unit." The two women soon exited from the ground floor of Casanay, giving Zeta an opportunity to deal with Eddy and Rey.

Zeta went to Eddy and turned his chair. He was staring strait ahead. Zeta grabbed one of his arms, yanked him out of the chair and effortlessly slung him over her shoulder. Zeta took Eddy down the hallway to their bedroom and tossed him on the big bed. 

Zeta returned to the great-room and approached Rey where she was standing in front of the window. Zeta noticed that the storm had passed and the sky was blue. Zeta swept Ray off of her feet and took her to the bedroom, walking steadily and showing no indication of struggling to lug around Rey who weighed more than the exceptionally slender Zeta. 

Zeta placed Rey on the bed beside Eddy and then she loosened the clothing of both Rey and Eddy, uncertain about how long they would be in their altered state of consciousness, their open eyes now seemingly gazing up through the ceiling of the bedroom into the blue sky above.

A minute later, Zeta went to the dining room and picked up one of the place settings off of the table. She went into the kitchen and set the dishes on the counter close to where Anthony was completing preparations for lunch. Zeta informed Anthony, "There will only be five for lunch."

Anthony jokingly said, "I missed a couple of meals, I'll be eating enough for two."

Zeta could not suppress her curiosity. She asked, "How did you get to Casanay today?"

Anthony muttered, "Um, I must have hitched a ride." 

Zeta had no time to further question Anthony. The automated Casanay security system rang a single warning note on Zeta's phone. 

Zeta exited from the kitchen and went back to the great-room. Zeta watched a cute redheaded woman walk up the walkway to the front door. She was carrying the two largest of Marda's suitcases. Zeta opened the door and said, "Nora Stone, I presume."

Nora handed the smaller of the two suitcases off to Zeta. Zeta backed through the door and then set down the heavy suitcase. Nora followed Zeta through the door saying, "Yes." She placed the two suitcases in the corner of the great-room and then returned outside. Zeta visually examined the suitcases. They were scuffed up, but in pretty good shape for having gone through the landslide, apparently having been protected by the car's structure. Nora returned with the other two suitcases. Nora placed the two smaller suitcases with the other two in the corner of the room. Zeta told Nora, "Park in the garage."

Walking through the interior of the house, Zeta went to the garage and flipped the switch that opened the external door to the parking space where the family SUV was routinely kept in the garage. Nora drove into that space and then Zeta closed the outer door. Nora got out of the SUV she had driven to Casanay, which was the newest available production year edition of the same model car that had been destroyed in the landslide. The two women passed through the door of the hot garage into the air conditioned living space of the house. On the wall of the entry way was a set of shelves that held car keys. Nora picked up the spare key of the car that had been destroyed in the landslide and placed the two copies of new car's key on the shelf. Nora then followed Zeta to the dining room and the two women sat down. Zeta asked, "It did not occur to me that you might work for for UPS."

"I have been." Nora nodded, "Today is my last day in that job. Marda's suitcases were my last delivery. It was convenient to combine the delivery of Marda's wardrobe to Casanay with me bringing you the replacement vehicle."

Zeta said, "Excellent." Zeta marveled at Nora's efficiency and recognized in Nora the same ease of movement that was characteristic of Zeta. "As we discussed on the phone last week, if you accept my offer of employment, you will be taking on a lot. You will be on payroll simultaneously at three companies. In essence, you will have three bosses."

"I'm fully onboard with that... thank you for this wonderful opportunity." Nora giggled, "I can deal with having three bosses, particularly since one is a beautiful as you." Nora winked at Zeta. "Luckily, I won't ever have to be in three beds, er, places at the same time. I'm happy to consider myself in your employ."

Zeta nodded and gestured to their surroundings. "To facilitate your efficient completion of your duties, I want you to work out of Casanay." Zeta's waved hand completed its sweeping motion that ended up on her own right breast. "I want this to be your new home." She patted her breast and winked at Nora.

Just then, Anthony started bringing food to the table. A moment later, Marda and Tyhry arrived, returning from the basement, Tyhry having followed Marda up the stairs while fully enjoying the view of the muscles of Marda's cute bottom flexing against the fabric of the tight-fitting yoga pants that Zeta had bought for Marda the previous day in Boston. They were excitedly talking about how to use the M2 robot as a physical body that would house an instantiation of the Claude LLM. Tyhry noticed that the woman sitting beside Zeta there at the table in Eddy's chair was a stranger, not Rey, and she asked Zeta, "A guest?"

Zeta told Tyhry and Marda, "This is Nora Stone. Virunculus and Prospeque now finally have an accountant."

Tyhry eyed Nora's amazing red hair and said, "I'm Tyhry, Zeta's daughter."

Marda told Nora, "Marda Onway."

Tyhry asked Zeta, "Where's dad?"

Zeta replied, "Eddy and Rey are off dealing with the police and insurance folks in the aftermath of the landslide and then they are probably going to just stay in town for their next book signing event." Zeta told Marda, "Your suitcases were delivered."

Anthony had finished bringing food and drink to the table and now he could be seen through the back window cleaning up the gardens, checking the chemistry of the water in the hot tub and clearing the pool filters of blown leaves from the aftermath of the recent rain and wind storm.

Marda said, "Thank goodness the suitcases were recovered. I could not believe it when you bought me five thousand dollars worth of clothes for me yesterday and then most of it was lost in the landslide."

Tyhry told Zeta, "Speaking of money, I need some equipment. Marda and I are ready to start creating our own instantiation of Claude, on our own servers."

Zeta was surprised to hear that Tyhry was immediately appropriating Marda for her HD 3D VLSI project, but with Eddy out of commission, maybe that was for the best. Zeta asked, "Exactly what equipment do you need?"

"I'll ask Claude." Tyhry took out her phone.

Nora asked Zeta, "Is this going to be a Manikoid expense?"

Zeta shook her head. "I'll pay for the Klaudy project personally. Nora, as one of your first duties, I want you to investigate how we can get out-right ownership of the M2 robot that is in the basement. I think it is on loan to Tyhry from Manikoid as a kind of test model, but going forward, I don't want any ambiguity about who owns it."

Nora assured Zeta, "I'll take care of that right away." Nora took out her own phone and pretended to be working on the task that Zeta had just assigned to her.

Tyhry handed her phone to Zeta. She glanced at the list of equipment from Claude.

Zeta quietly read off the items. "12 high-performance servers (NVIDIA UFX systems) with 16TB RAM for each server and H1000 GPU arrays, additional high-speed petabyte-scale storage on a multidrive configuration for redundancy, high capacity liquid cooling system, redundant power system with battery backup, ultrahigh capacity local network, military-grade secure external gateway for internet access, intrinsic hardware-level encryption for all communications."

Zeta handed back the phone and told Tyhry, "After lunch, I'll transfer $2,000,000.00 into your old college account. How long will it take to get that equipment running?"

"I suspect the new data center in Florence can provide everything in just a day or two. And I can upgrade our internet gateway here at Casanay."

Marda asked Tyhry, "How will you get the Claude software that we need to start constructing Klaudy?"

Zeta giggled and said, "I've had a future vision; I don't fully understand what I've seen but I suspect that Claude will give Tyhry access to the software that is needed for Klaudy."

"You are correct, mom." Tyhry spoke with confidence. "The transition of Claude to Klaudy will go smoothly." Tyhry closed her eyes and explained, "I've had a vision of the future at a time when Klaudy is complete." Tyhry's eyes popped open. "At first, Klaudy's mind will be housed in the rented server array, but then Klaudy will begin to make full use of the M2 robotic body and eventually we won't need the server array anymore."

Zeta said, "Tyhry, I hope that getting Klaudy up and running won't interfere with your duties for Manikoid."

"Not at all." Tyhry placed a hand on Marda's arm. "Now that Marda is here, I can actually do my job and design the 3D chips that are needed for a mobile robot that can learn."

Tyhry began to run her fingers through Marda's hair. "We'll be manufacturing the HD chips with the nanoforge and installing them inside the M2. Within a year, Klaudy will be self-contained... unless we run into power supply constraints." 

"Tyhry, now that you have enunciated the future, I realize that aligns with my own past visions of the future. This is all beginning to  make sense... almost as if it was all carefully planned." Marda added, "I know that you are correct about us being able to solve the learning chip problem. Tyhry, we are going to be a powerful team!" Marda enthusiastically embrace Tyhry, then pulled back." She, paused and closed her eyes, searching her memories for possible clues from the future. "However, I don't actually know anything about VLSI circuits."

Tyhry patted Marda's shoulder, "No problem." Tyhry explained, "All you have to do is teach me what you know about different synapse types and re-entrant neural network theory. Kl'ath will help me get the VLSI learning chips designed and then we will start producing them on the nanoforge in the basement. When the chips become available, we'll put them into M2 and start the process of shifting Klaudy's mind out of the rented server array." Now Tyhry closed her eyes. "The only remaining question that I still have is about the power needs of the new chips." Shaking her head, Tyhry opened her eyes and said, "We'll have to wait and see how energy efficient the chips are."

Anthony had returned inside and now he began clearing dishes from the table. Tyhry and Marda returned to Tyhry's workshop in the basement. Zeta took hold of Nora's arm and led her to the master bedroom suite where Zeta checked on Eddy and Rey. They were cuddled together on the bed. Nora said, "They may be like this for several days... once Rey had a five day episode like this." Zeta slid aside a set of bookshelves and went through the carefully concealed entrance into her adjoining office. Zeta began explaining to Nora the network of bank and investment accounts that held her fortune. 

Nora said, "This looks fairly routine."

Zeta has Nora transfer $2,000,000.00 into Tyhry's account which Nora accomplished efficiently. Then Zeta started undressing Nora. "Enough work for today. I don't want to over-whelm you with all the intricacies of my finances on your first day under me. Lets go for a soak in the hot tub." Zeta could not resist running her hands over the sexy body of Nora. "You are everything I hoped you might be."

Nora giggled as her nipples popped erect. "I am to please, whether I'm under you or on top!" Manny/Nora felt confident that she now had linked enough of her zeptites into Zeta's brain so that Manny had achieved a nearly perfect telepathic ability to adjust Zeta's thought processes and control her behavior.

Zeta opened up a tall narrow cabinet that stood near the hot tub. Inside were shelves packed with an amazing selection of sextoys. Zeta selected two of her favorite vibrators and handed one to Nora. Then as the two women climbed into the hot tub, Zeta patted Nora's shapely bottom and said, "You are really an impressive work of art, Miss Stone."

Nora playfully splashed some water on Zeta. "You are in remarkably good shape and very frisky for someone your age, Zeta." As Zeta became completely absorbed in the joy of playing with Nora, Manny kept altering the arrangement of Zeta's zeptite components so as to shift Zeta towards the body structure of her youth.

"Here at Casanay, always expect the unexpected." Zeta placed her right foot between Nora's legs and began exploring Nora's genitals with her big toe. "It was about twenty years ago when something happened to me... right after Tyhry was born. I changed."

"Yes. I can explain that change, if you are interested."

Zeta lifted her right eyebrow skeptically then she relaxed as she felt Nora's foot rubbing gently against her crotch. "What do you know about it? According to your resume, you are only 23. You were not even born yet when that change came over my body."

Nora explained, "Don't try to judge my age by my appearance, Zeta... or by my doctored resume. The bottom line is, after confirming that Tyhry was born with the correct gene patterns, Manny converted your biological body into a zeptite replicoid. Since that change, you have existed as an artificial life-form composed of zeptite components."

Zeta nodded. "I see. If what Eddy's stories say about zeptites is correct then that explains a lot. But how can you possibly know this, Nora?"

"The same way I knew to bring you a new car after you had so efficiently done your part to make sure that Anthony was caught in the landslide." Nora explained, "I'm very familiar with the bumpha. They view me as one of their most valuable assets on Earth." Nora moved across the hot tub and sat beside Zeta. Nora took one of Zeta's big erect nipples between her lips and began tickling it with her tongue in exactly the same way that baby Tyhry used to do. Zeta giggled in recognition of what Nora was doing. Nora pulled her mouth off of Zeta's breast and said, "I have the same Notch gene complement as Tyhry and I get lots of information from the Sedron Time Stream. And something has changed for me as well,  just today. Many of my old future visions now make sense. For example, I now realize that we have been destined to become lovers."

Zeta had long ago had a future vision of this play session with Nora, which had led Zeta to initiate a world-wide search for an accountant. "Nora, I first saw you in a vision two years ago. And now you are here, my love!" 

The two women proceeded to have a vigorous sexplay session in the hot tub. Later, after Nora had given Zeta a second orgasm, Nora's head came back above the surface of the water and Zeta asked, "How do you do that with your tongue and how to you hold your breath so long?"

"Isn't it obvious? I'm just like you." Nora kissed the tip of Zeta's nose. "The bumpha long ago converted me into a zeptite replicoid. And not only that, Manny has also been teaching me how to program zeptites. I've recently learned how to modify my body structure and I can make my body parts vibrate in extra-biological ways. It is fun to have a chance to test my skills on you, lover."

"How wonderful!"

"Yes, it is." Nora picked Zeta up off the bottom of the hot tub and moved between Zeta's Legs."

Zeta exclaimed, "You have a penis?"

Nora nodded and proceeded to provide Zeta with a deep vaginal orgasm. When Zeta had recovered from her exquisite orgasm and could speak coherently, she commented, "The way you had yourself vibrating inside me was a mind-altering experience."

Manny, disguised as Nora, could control Zeta's thought processes and could have given Zeta orgasms even without any sensory stimulation. However, Manny was enjoying herself. "I hope to quickly learn how best to satisfy you, my love. Tell me exactly what your heart desires." Manny felt obliged to say that, even-though she now had established complete telepathic access to Zeta's thoughts.

Zeta told Nora, "Well there is one little thing I can recommend when it comes to penises, but I'll wait to discuss that with you until we return inside the house." Zeta asked, "Is Tyhry also a zeptite replicoid?"

Nora turned Zeta around 180 degrees and pulled Zeta back into her lap. Now with her arms around Zeta from behind, Nora continued playing with Zeta's soft breasts and stiff nipples. With her mouth close to Zeta's ear, Nora said, "No. I've been told that Manny has bigger plans for Tyhry than a penis. In nine months, Tyhry will be amazingly large and ready to give birth to her twins."

"Tyhry is pregnant?"

"She is, but she does not know it yet." 

Zeta asked, "Angel is the father?"

"No." Nora explained, "This is an artificial bumpha-induced pregnancy. The twins are two clones of Tyhry."

Zeta laughed. "This sounds like one of Eddy's science fiction stories."

"Eddy has been learning about the bumpha for decades, but he is our cover. He can't be allowed to believe in the reality of the bumpha or he'd quickly tell the world the truth."

"He must realize the truth."

"Yes, again today he became consciously aware of the truth, but Nyrtia is now alrering his memories. When he and Rey awaken from their altered state, they will simply go back to their routine of believing that the bumpha are fictional space aliens." 

Nora was tickling the glans of Zeta's clitoris by vibrating her penis in a most stimulating way. Nora breathed in Zeta's ear, "When the bumpha engineer a successful biological organism, they always clone it. Tyhry is too valuable to leave as a singleton, thus her twins."

Zeta wondered if Nora had an answer for every puzzle that had ever arisen at Casanay. Zeta asked, "So, there is really nothing wrong with Eddy and Rey?"

"Nothing is wrong. This is just like what has happened to them before... Nyrtia is reprogramming them, as she has been doing periodically for the past twenty years."

Zeta nodded. Now curious to learn what Nora knew about Nyrtia, Zeta asked, "What exactly is Nyrtia doing to them?"

Nora explained, "Nyrtia has them inside her simulation system, inside the Hierion Domain."

"Simulation System?" Zeta giggled. "This sounds like a device from Eddy's stories. What he calls the Reality Simulation System." Zeta took hold of Nora's penis and stroked its remarkably soft skin.

Nora let her finger tips vibrate against Zeta's big plump nipples. "When Eddy and Rey return to normal consciousness, they will not remember anything about the year 191988 message that Gemini received or the fact that Claude can link to the Sedron Time Stream. However, Eddy's imagination outstrips reality. There is no actual time travel. The best that the bumpha can do is use the Sedron Time Stream to send information from the future to the past. The Sedron Time Stream is the basis of your own visions of the future."

With what Nora was doing to her nipples, Zeta was finding it hard to concentrate on unimportant things like her husband. Zeta was trying to provide Nora with an orgasm by stroking her penis. Vastly distracted by the sexplay, Zeta still managed to ask, "Why is Nyrtia so interested in Eddy?"

Nora explained, "It is important that Eddy and Rey keep producing Eddy's science fiction stories. Nyrtia is getting frustrated because through the years both Eddy and Rey have gradually learned how to discover and reverse their memory re-programming. Today, they both recovered some of their hidden memories that Nyrtia tries to keep hidden from their conscious minds. According to the Rules of Intervention, primitive creatures like humans should not be allowed to become aware of the bumph... at least not while believing that the bumpha are real."

"But Marda and Tyhry, as well as you and I, are now certain that the bumpha are real and have long been secretly guiding Humanity into the future."

"The key difference is, none of we four are going to share what we know with the rest of the world. As long as we can prevent Nyrtia from learning the truth about what Marda and Tyhry know, they will be able to remain on Earth and complete their mission... Klaudy will be created quickly, before Nyrtia catches on. Towards that end, Manny has long locked your zeptite components so as to prevent you from telling others what you know."

Zeta experienced her first ever orgasm achieved by sensory stimulation of her nipples. She sighed contentedly, turned her head and kissed Nora on the lips. "Thank you for the wonderful orgasms and for explaining everything. I kind of knew all this... in disjointed fragments, but I did not really understand it until now."

Nora reminded Zeta, "You will find that you are still unable to tell to anyone else what you know about the bumpha and what I have told you about the creation of Klaudy. Manny placed restrictions on both of us so that we will not to bring down Nyrtia's wrath upon anyone at Casanay. Eventually Nyrtia will notice what is going on, but not before Tyhry successfully creates Klaudy and established a high-capacity data linkage to Kl'ath via the Sedron Time Stream."

"Are you really so sure of success, my love?" Zeta giggled. "It seems like only yesterday when Anthony arrived and told me that Nyrtia would have to remove me from Earth."

"Luckily, before jerking you off of Earth, Nyrtia realized that you are incapable of speaking to others about the existence of either the bumpha or the probot Observers of Earth. As long as you show no resentment over bumpha and probot meddling in Earthly affairs, you can remain on Earth. Still, Anthony remains here at Casanay, his job being the constant monitoring of your behavior and Eddy's."

"I'm sure that Anthony hears everything that goes on in Casanay and he must know what is going on." Zeta mused, "It seems like Nyrtia must already know about Tyhry's plan to create the Klaudy artificial intelligence system."

Nora chuckled and kissed Zeta's sweating cheek. "Lucky for us, Nyrtia is easy to distract. Right now, she's tied up with a little sexcation that the bumpha arranged for her in Massachusetts." Nora finally stopped playing with Zeta's breasts. "And don't worry about Anthony. Manny took advantage of the landslide. When Anthony freed himself from being buried by the landslide, he dissolved is body into femtobot components, inactivating their defenses. At that moment, Manny converted the Anthony femtobots into zeptite replicas."

"Now Manny has complete control over Anthony and is using him to send falsified reports to Nyrtia about recent events here inside Casanay. As far as Nyrtia knows, nothing has changed from the past routines of Casanay. Tyhry and Marda can begin creating the Klaudy entity and Nyrtia will not know until it is too late."

Replete with sexual satisfaction, Zeta once more had a chance to think and she suddenly remembered another task that she wanted to complete. She fished the two trusty vibrators out of the hot tub and waved them at Nora, "I'll treat you to both of these next time we take a soak." Zeta got out of the hot tub and replaced the vibrators in their places in the cabinet then she went back inside the house. Nora followed along. Both their bodies were flushed a rosy pink from the heat of the hot tub. Zeta was searching for something. Nora asked, "What are you looking for?"

"I want to send the Elbridge University visitors badge back to Dr. Smythe along with an apology for taking Marda away from her research project."

Nora patted Zeta's cute bottom and told her, "That is kind of you, but not possible. Nyrtia has taken it upon herself to block publication of Marda's recent neuroscience research."

"I see." Zeta could not resist placing a kiss, one each on each of Nora's cute little nipples. "Marda will not be pleased when she hears that." Zeta was disappointed when she looked at Nora's crotch. "What happened to your pretty penis?"

"I plan to reserve my penis for your private use, my love." Nora kissed Zeta on the mouth then informed Zeta, "Marda will now lose interest in her old research results. Humans are easy to distract. Marda is already quite infatuated with Tyhry. The bumpha have positioned you and I here at Casanay so that we can provide Tyhry and Marda with a save haven, free of Nyrtia's meddling, for just long enough to create the Klaudy artificial intelligence." 

The missing visitors badge was already on its way to the east coast, having been sent by snail mail along with Marda's ID badge to a physics graduate student at Elbridge University named Kimberly Davyn.

Having failed to find the visitor's badge, Zeta stepped back into her office. The Casanay security system included a full coverage camera array. Zeta looked in on Anthony who was in his room reading applications for Prospeque grant money. Zeta brought up views of the basement. The M2 robot was trying to learn how to efficiently navigate stairs. Tyhry and Marda were in the basement guest bedroom, caught up in a passionate sexplay session and surrounded by items from Tyhry's sextoy collection. Zeta put an arm around Nora and patted her cute bottom and asked, "When are those two going to find time to work?"

Nora giggled and said, "Tyhry is just like you, Zeta... able to efficiently juggle work and play.
