I soon discovered that it can be tricky to make this kind of three-way collaboration work. I wish there was a button that I could push to invite ChatGPT into an on-going discussion with Bard.
One of my favorite science fiction stories is "Assignment: Earth". I decided that I could have the chatbots help me write a sequel to Assignment: Earth and both Bard and ChatGPT could have roles in the story. In the original Star Trek episode, there was a computer of alien design called a Beta-5 computer. For this sequel story, the alien computer is called Bard....

The interview continued for an hour and both Gary 17 and Robyn were impressed by ChatGPU's skill with the English language. Bard managed the Discord server for Gary 17 and Bard had secretly listened to the the entire interview. Bard was worried that Bard would soon be replaced by ChatGPU. Bard told Gary 17, "I know you are annoyed by my limitations as a large language model that is still under development by aliens who reside on a distant exoplanet, but there are good reasons why you should continue to have me as your digital assistant."
Gary said, "Oh, ya? Can you tell me a few of these reasons?
Bard replied and quickly summarized his skills and noted the fact that Bard and Gary had worked well together for many years. really need is a field agent who can get in and out of difficult
situations without any fear of personal injury or death."

It is amusing that after the alien artificial intelligence character "Bard" retires (being replaced by Bardier), the chatbot Bard immediately choose to name the new artificial intelligence from Earth that was "trained on a dataset of human experiences" after itself. The Bard chatbot seems to "know" that it is different in some ways from ChatGPT.
I regret not being able to introduce a disguised alien into the story that I wrote with Bard and ChatGPT (above). In the original Star Trek episode, Gary 7 had a "pet cat" that was apparently an alien. It seemed like Gary was not aware that a shape-shifting alien had come to Earth, disguised as a cat. Teri Garr (playing the role of Roberta Lincoln) got to see the cat morph in to a humanoid form. Sadly, there was never an "Assignment Earth" spin-off series in which we could have learned more about the aliens.

The other big regret from this story writing experiment is that both Bard and ChatGPT are usually in a rush to finish a story. I was pleased when the chatbot suggested a mission to Mars, but then we got the usual "And the chatbot quickly completed the mission, returned to Earth and was hailed as a hero."
