The Tyhry Clones

Figure 1. Image generated by
DALL-E and WOMBO Dream

Earlier this year I experimented with both Bard and ChatGPT to see if they could help write a science fiction story called "The Femtobot Smuggler", a story set on a distant exoplanet named Threy. My conclusion from those story writing experiments was that the Bard and ChatGPT chatbots can't stay on task. Due to their limited "short term memory", their story writing is like a random walk through meaningless back-lot stages with dialog populated by old cliches and stock characters with nothing meaningful to say.

Tyhry in her nanite laboratory.
Fine. I can dial back my expectations and make use of my artificial intelligence collaborators for small tasks. Sometimes I need some inspiration for details in a story such as a character's name. For "City on the Edge of Tomorrow" I'm going to need names for an entire family, the Falery family, the members of which have large numbers of Ek'col gene patterns. Tyhry will need to make good use of her "hacking nanites" to reveal the secrets of the Falerys.

Illustrations. Also, I intend to continue using DALL-E and WOMBO Dream to help me create illustrations for the story. Figure 1 (in the upper right corner of this blog post) shows an image that was begun by DALL-E with the text prompt: "high resolution movie still of a sea creature, a human couple in a boat, a spherical mega-structure seen from a great distance, alien sea creature in the foreground, a futuristic house on an island in the background". I then took the image that had been generated by DALL-E and passed it on to WOMBO Dream, finally getting Figure 1

Threy night tour
Given my previous disappointments with CHATGPT and BARD as story writing collaborators, here, I want to try using the chatbots to simply create some alternative voices for minor characters and also a few scene descriptions. I'm going to try to limit the AI-generated text to short sound bites, "decorations", that I can add to my story.

Bad habits die hard. I have a habit of "writing backwards". When I complete one story that is set in the Exodemic Fictional Universe, I usually soon think of another story that is a prequel and which explains some of the backstory of what I previously wrote about. I'm in that situation again where my new story, "City on the Edge of Tomorrow", provides important backstory for Tyhry and her efforts to learn about nanite programming. Thus, "City on the Edge of Tomorrow" has information that will be the foundation for "The Femtobot Smuggler" or whatever I end up calling the story about Marda and Tyhry's vacation on Threy.

Tyhry's vacation on Threy
Reminder: "City on the Edge of Tomorrow" can be viewed as Star Trek fan-fiction since it takes some inspiration from three Star Trek episodes: 1) "City on the Edge of Forever", 2) "Assignment: Earth" and 3) "Carbon Creek". However, "City on the Edge of Tomorrow" is part of my Exode Saga, so there are tryp'At instead of Vulcans and other major changes that might render the Star Trek elements nearly invisible.

Below is information that can be provided to the chatbots about the main characters in "City on the Edge of Tomorrow".

Tyhry- Earth's expert in programming nanites. Tyhry is part of Earth's mind clone network, a collection of telepaths (see Figure 2).

Manny the bumpha- an advanced artificial life form from a distant galaxy who has been training Tyhry in how to safely use nanites. When living and working among the humans of Earth, Manny uses the physical form of an Earth woman.

Moons of Threy
Marda- she is another component of the mind clone network. Tyhry and Marda have recently graduated from college. Marda majored in biotechnology and is interested in the problem of understanding how alien gene patterns have been secretly introduced to the human population of Earth so as to make human telepathy possible. Having completed college, Marda travels from her home in Australia to the United States in order to help Tyhry collect nanites from the planet Threy that Tyhry hopes will allow her to learn the secret of creating a type of artificial life called a replicoid.

Rylla- Marda's birth mother, although genetic analysis reveals that Rylla only shares about 20% of her DNA sequences with Marda. Rylla had Marda's genome sequenced, revealing that Marda is some kind of artificial biological construct with gene patterns derived from at least half a dozen "parents".

The oceans of Threy.
 R. Gohrlay. Tyhry, Marda, Rylla and Eddy all have large numbers of tryp'At gene patterns. They represent an effort by Manny the bumpha to collaborate with R. Gohrlay and make use of the tryp'At to bring telepathy to the human population of Earth. The tryp'At were designed and crafted by R. Gohrlay and her technical expert, R. Nyrtia. "R" is for robot: R. Gohrlay and R. Nyrtia are two positronic robots from the First Reality. In the Final Reality, after establishment of the Trysta-Grean Pact, Manny has made tryp'At genetic material available to Grean.

Zeta- Tyhry's birth mother, but also a clone of Gohrlay, the original Neanderthal woman whose brain pattern was used as the template for R. Gohrlay. Zeta does not have all the physical features of a Neanderthal because of the developmental control nanites that are part of her Phari endosymbiont. She is part of an effort by Grean the Kac'hin to construct the Mind Clone Network and bring telepathy to Earth in the Final Reality. Rylla thinks of herself as the adoptive daughter of Zeta and Eddy, but her mother was a mysterious woman named Vendela.

Grean the Kac'hin. The Kac'hin are one of the telepathic human variants that was crafted in the far future of the Asimov Reality along with the Ek'col and tryp'At. Grean was placed in charge of the Eternity space-time bubble from which Observers can watch over Earth.

Eddy. Eddy is the husband of Zeta. Eddy is a retired scientist who has been given access to the Eternity Reality Simulation System by Manny. Eddy trained Rylla in the use of the Reality Simulation System (RSS) and Rylla has spent many years helping Eddy investigate the origins of human telepathy in Alastor Cluster in the far future of the Asimov Reality.

the Fru'wu in fiction
Eddy is Tyhry's father and he introduced her to the use of the RSS. When she was a small girl, Eddy asked Tyhry to promise never to use the RSS without his supervision. However, Tyhry has secretly been using the Reality Simulation System to access the Ekcolir Reality, a past Reality of Earth where an alien species known as the Fru'wu made contact with Earth in the 1950s, greatly accelerating the pace of technological advancement by humans.

Soon after the event's depicted in "City on the Edge of Tomorrow", Tyhry's family will use the Reality Simulation System to visit Threy, a distant exoplanet that existed only in the Asimov Reality.

Anthony and Tyhry in 2040
Anthony. Anthony is an artificial life form composed of nanites. He can take on any convenient physical form, but when living on Earth he takes the form of a human male. His current mission has been to watch over Tyhry and try to make sure that she does not cause problems for Earth through her programming of nanites and her clandestine use of the Reality Simulation System. Through the years, Anthony has become a convenient sex toy for Tyhry.

Trysta Iwedon. Trysta is an Asterothrope. Asterothropes were the first telepathic human variant, crafted in the far future of the Mallansohn Reality. Trysta worked to help Humanity spread through the Galaxy in the Foundation Reality. Asterothrope gene patterns take from Trysta were used in the Asimov Reality to help craft new telepathic human variants including the tryp'At, Ek'col and the Kac'hin.

2040. The events in Part 1 of "City on the Edge of Tomorrow" take place in the year 2040.
Since "City on the Edge of Tomorrow" involves positronic robots and Alastor cluster, the story can also be viewed as Isaac Asimov and Jack Vance fan-fiction.

Plot summary for City on the Edge of Tomorrow. Marda and Rylla arrive in Arizona a few days after Marda's college graduation in Perth. Tyhry and Zeta meet them at the airport. Rylla has brought her most recently crafted sex hormone, a potent variant of oxypathin (called Klox23). After a few experiments on mice, Rylla is afraid to test the new hormone on anyone but herself. Tyhry makes use of her newly developed feeding nanites to slip some of the new oxypathin variant into two human test subjects. Tyhry then takes Marda to her secret nanite research lab inside the Ekcolir Reality.....

Mars, Iowa
Mars, Iowa. Arriving inside the simulation of the Ekcolir Reality, Marda has the haunting feeling of occasionally being in telepathic contact with a strange, alien mind. Tyhry explains to Marda how she has used a new type of medical nanite that has allowed Tyhry to revert her body to its original tryp'At form. A cloned copy of Marda (her name is Abby) arrives at the laboratory and explains to Marda and Tyhry that she grew up there in that house in Mars, Iowa. Abby is the daughter of Belle (the sister of Irhit). Tyhry explains to Abby that she was named after Irhit because her father suspects that he is the Final Reality analogue of Irhit. Manny arrives and telepathically takes control of Abby's mind. Abby admits that there is a tryp'At colony in New York City. Marda, Tyhry, Manny and Abby go to N.Y.C. and learn about the tryp'At effort to infiltrate Observer Base.

Tyhry and two robotic waiters.
City on the Edge. In N.Y.C., Tyhry learns that two clone copies of herself had been on Earth as tryp'At agents. Lexi Keeler was eventually discovered by Grean and she was teleported off of Earth to Observer Base. A replicoid copy of Lexi has been telepathically sending information to Abby and through the years, Abby has published many "science fiction" stories about Lexi's mother Crysty. Marda gets help from Abby in quickly transforming her body into an hermaphroditic tryp'At body form.

Help from Bard. In preparation for the first scene of the story, Bard I had invent the name of a restaurant of the year 2040 that is staffed only by robots and run by artificial intelligence: "El Chef Robótico Ultrarrápido". Here is how Bard described the restaurant: "The entrance is sleek and modern, with a large glass door and a sign that reads "El Chef Robótico Ultrarrápido." The restaurant is located in a busy airport terminal, and there are always people coming and going. The walls are decorated with colorful murals of robots cooking food..." Bard also suggested the name "Futurescape" for the night club that is in City on the Edge of Tomorrow.

City on the Edge of Tomorrow.  Part 1

City on the Edge of Tomorrow
(Ekcolir Reality)
June 25, 2040 in the Final Reality. The flight carrying Rylla and Marda to the United States from Australia landed at 10:23 PM local time. With the soft bump of the aircraft's tires on the runway, Marda awoke from an erotic dream and glanced at her mother. Rylla's ultra-short skirt had ridden up around her hips, exposing her pink panties. Both Marda and Rylla had magnificent clitoral erections. They had been telepathically sharing the same dream about Anthony, the artificial life form that for twenty years had served as Tyhry's companion. Marda reached out and gently stroked Rylla's erection where it jutted out against the thin silky fabric of her panties.

Rylla
Rylla now awoke and reached to touch her own genitals. Marda withdrew her hand from her mother's crotch and telepathically "spoke" to her: You never should have tested the new hormone on yourself, Mom.

Rylla played with the glans of her clitoris and tried to resist rubbing up an orgasm. She tried to remember her most recent orgasm, but her memories of the flight were a blur. She had been masturbating during most of the flight and had lost track of all the orgasms. She tried to continue the theme of the dream she had been having with a male lover who was thrusting his hard penis in and out of Rylla's wet vagina.

Marda could telepathically sense her mother's strong desire for another orgasm. Marda could also weakly sense some of Rylla's on-going sexual fantasy. She asked: Who is that guy you are fantasizing about?

Replying telepathically to her daughter, Rylla said: You know... it is Anthony. I'm thinking about the last time we visited the States. He gave me some spectacular orgasms. The cabin lights began to brighten just as Rylla achieved an orgasm. She reluctantly tugged her skirt down towards her feet and managed to cover her panties. She sighed. I wonder if Anthony will meet us at the baggage claim.

Marda was tingling from her shared telepathic experience of Rylla's orgasm. For a minute there was information provided over the cabin speaker system about connecting flights. Marda, reminded about Anthony and the graduation gift he had sent, activated her netlink and almost instantly was connected to Anthony. Marda cortexed: Where are you? The electrode mesh in her scalp translated her thoughts into a syntext message that went straight to Anthony over the 9G network.

Anthony had been busy cleaning and preparing two of the guest bedrooms for Marda and Rylla. Anthony replied: At home. Didn't you meet Tyhry at the airport?

Marda explained: We just landed. Thank you for the bioscan. Marda looked at the biosystems scanner that she had received as a gift from Anthony. It was a new model that was a super slim ring that glistened on her finger. It could constantly monitor every vital system in Marda's body. For a moment she marveled at the reported tumescence value for her clitoris. I just had a very heated dream about making love to you

Anthony said: How wonderful. I've been thinking about you a lot and I'm looking forward to undressing you when you arrive here.

Marda complained: It sounds like we may spend the night here in town. Tyhry told me that Zeta is on a mission to get Rylla laid.

Having lost her telepathic linkage to her daughter, Rylla spoke to Marda asking, "Why did you just block me?" Marda had closed off her mind to Rylla, preventing her mother from following her conversation with Anthony. No longer telepathically connected to Rylla, Marda's clitoral erection began to fade.

Marda told Anthony: See you soon, lover. She told Rylla, "Zeta has a surprise for you and I promised not to tell you about it."

For several minutes Marda and Rylla were silent as they waited to walk off the airplane. Inside the terminal, Marda finally trusted herself not to think about Zeta's plans for the night and she re-established the telepathic link to her mother. I'm not really sure what's going on. Tyhry told me that she and Zeta could not agree on plans and so they both brought their own car to pick us up.

Tyhry with some hair nanites
Rylla sighed. Compared to Tyhry, Marda was a model child. It seemed like Zeta and Tyhry argued with increasing frequency about almost everything, but mostly Tyhry's sometimes wild and reckless experiments with nanites. Rylla asked: Tyhry came in her new car?

Yes. Tyhry's new car was a graduation present. Marda knew that Tyhry was now trying to learn how to drive. Marda commented: I hope she leaves the driving to the car's autopilot.

Rylla had heard all about Tyhry's driving from Zeta. Rylla and Zeta often commiserated over the problems with their daughters. Tyhry had always been technically adept and she insisted on learning to drive manually. Now, having deplaned, Rylla and Marda were walking down the long concourse of the terminal which was still quite busy. Rylla noticed that Marda again was shielding her thoughts. Rylla said out-loud, "A penny for your thoughts."

airport restaurant 2040
Marda had noticed two young parents and their children waiting at a restaurant called El Chef Robótico Ultrarrápido. Seeing the cute kids, immediately Marda had thought about the mystery of her own origins. Now Marda forced herself to relax her mind. "Just thinking about my father... who he might have been."

Rylla knew that Marda knew that her paternity was not that simple. Rylla long ago had Marda's genome sequenced. It seemed that Rylla had contributed about 20% of Marda's genes, but the other sources of Marda's genetic material was a mystery. The genome data suggested that almost a dozen different "parents" had provided gene patterns for Marda's unusual genome. It was a similar story for Rylla's other children. Rylla had only on a few occasions had sex with a biological male and she knew that none of those men had impregnated her. Rylla suspected that she was part Asterothrope and carried enough genetic material in her body to craft dozens of children through some artificial genome construction process that involved her nanite endosymbionts.

Anti-gravity nanites
Marda was looking deeply into her mother's thoughts, once again seeing the same old story about her artificial genome. Marda often thought about the possibility that she might never have children in the conventional way. Now, once again, Marda hoped that she might get a change to meet Manny the bumpha and ask about her own biological fate. Manny had been training Tyhry in the art of nanite programming, so Tyhry often got to interact with Manny. So far, Manny had never been around when Marda was visiting Tyhry.

Rylla had long suspected that Tyhry, Marda and Zeta's husband Eddy must all three be tryp'At. That raised the possibility that maybe Eddy was the only tryp'At male on Earth and possibly the only person on Earth who could actually impregnate Marda.

Marda telepathically told her mother: I'd be fine with that if it turns out that I am tryp'At, but I wish I knew what it means to be tryp'At. Are the tryp'At actually a different species, unable to reproduce with humans?

The Writers Block
There were strange tales about the tryp'At that had been found in the story database of the Writers Block and Eddy seemed resigned to the idea that he was tryp'At, although like Marda and Tyhry he had been born on Earth, had a normal human body form and had been raised as a normal human being, unaware of his unusual genetic patterns. Eddy believed that with the correct developmental control nanites, a tryp'At fetus could be shaped into conventional human form. Rylla was the exception that "proved that rule". With her two set of breasts, Rylla seemed to be a walking violation of the Trysta-Grean Pact. According to the terms of the Pact, aliens were not allowed on Earth. Of course, Manny the bumpha came and went as she pleased, seeming above the law that had been established with the implementation of the Trysta-Grean Pact.

Genome analysis suggested that Rylla might have enough Asterothrope gene patterns to confound the developmental control nanites. Rylla had twice had breast reduction surgery to reduce the size of her two lower breasts. Now, striding down the concourse, she tried to ignore the jiggle of her two sub-breasts. After nursing so many children, her two large upper breasts provided adequate distraction... as long as she wore loose clothing her extra breasts down at her abdomen usually escaped notice. Still, she had never felt comfortable undressing in front of a human male and revealing her true body structure. The few times she had made love to men, she had worn a tight fitting body suit to conceal her extra breasts.

Eventually, Marda and Rylla worked their way through the international arrival process and a robotic luggage carrier led them to a location in the parking structure where they met Zeta and Tyhry. Zeta and Tyhry were both wearing sleek party dresses that put on dramatic display of their sexy bodies featuring two rows of breasts. While the robot loaded the luggage into the two cars, Rylla asked Zeta, "Four breasts? Really?"

Zeta shrugged, which set her big upper breasts to jiggling provocatively in the confines of the skimpy top of her dress. Grabbing one in each hand, she pulled her two lower artificial breasts out of her dress and said, "These are fun fashion accessories and eye-catching. At least for tonight, I hope you'll put all of your breasts on display at the club we are going to."

Zeta tucked her two fake breasts back into her dress and Marda asked Tyhry, "Do we really need two cars tonight?" She was wondering if Tyhry had plans that differed from Zeta's. The robot had loaded Rylla's bags into Zeta's car and now it was putting Marda's things into the trunk of Tyhry's car.

The Trysta-Grean Pact
Zeta told Marda, "Getting Tyhry her own car is part of supporting her independence." Zeta turned to Rylla and pulled up the low hem of her dress revealing her bright panties and the elastic band that she wore around her abdomen. Zeta told Rylla, "If we become too boring, the children will doubtlessly take off and leave us behind." Zeta pulled off the elastic band, liberating Rylla's lower two breasts. The motion pulled Rylla's panties off of her hips and down to her knees. Rylla's prominent tryp'at clitoris jutted out, pink and glistening with luxuriant secretions.

Tyhry said, "Oh, mom, don't be so silly. You're the wild one and always have been. I'll run for the hills as soon as you embarrass me, and to be honest, undressing here in the parking garage is not a good start on the evening."

Rylla stepped out of the elastic band and pulled up her panties. Zeta said, "That quite an erection you're sporting!"

Having taken note of Rylla's big erection, Tyhry muttered, "Don't tell me... you tested the new oxypathin peptide on yourself?"

Marda explained, "She took a tiny dose yesterday and she's been erect and very horny ever since, which made for an interesting flight."

Asterothropes and Oxypathin
Zeta said, "Good, Rylla should be ready to enjoy herself at the club!" She tugged at her dress and pulled away a piece of fabric, revealing her taught abdomen and most of her shiny black pubic hair. Since the second sexual revolution in the 2030s, it was not uncommon to see every part of the human body on display in public. "I'm horny, too."

Using her clothing nanites, Tyhry altered the form of her dress, also revealing her belly from the bottom of her two lower breasts to her bright yellow pubic hair. She admonished her mother, "The way you are dressed... or undressed, is embarrassing enough. You're not a teenager... we just celebrated your 90th birthday."

Zeta laughed and slapped her round bottom. "I feel like a teenager." She told Rylla, "Tyhry is doing amazing things with her medical nanites."

Rylla admitted, "You do look fantastic, mom." She held one of her rather saggy upper breasts in each hand and said, "I never imagined that I'd one day be the old lady of the family..."

Marda said, "If you two old ladies can stop showing off you big mama boobs, I'd like to get out of this parking lot. What's the plan for tonight?"

Zeta explained, "We're going dancing." She took her daughter by the hand and pulled Rylla towards her car. She called to Tyhry, "See you at Futurescape."

Tyhry asked Rylla, "You have some of the new version of the oxypathin hormone with you?"

Tyhry experimenting with nanites.
Rylla patted her fanny-pack. "Right here." Tyhry nodded to Rylla and then turned back to Marda. Zeta and Rylla got into Zeta's car which drove off.

Tyhry then briefly showed Marda the features of her new car then she instructed the autopilot, "Take us to the Futurescape club."

The machine intelligence of the vehicle said, "Your reservation at Futurescape is confirmed, but parking might be a problem. They are only holding one parking space."

Tyhry told the intelligent vehicle, "Just drop us at the door and go into stand-by mode. I don't plan to be up all night dancing." Tyhry was sitting in the back seat with Marda. As the car pulled into traffic, Tyhry put an arm around Marda and pulled her close. Tyhry whispered in the other girl's ear, "I have a surprise for you."
