Alien Conflict

In the Ekcolir Reality

I like to imagine that in the Ekcolir Reality the pace of technological advances was quicker and the science fiction genre was dominated by scientifically trained women.

First Contact
In the Ekcolir Reality, Effie Woodward wrote a story in 1880 about peaceful aliens who arrived as visitors on Earth by means of a kind of long-range teleportation. That teleportation technology made what Effie called "hierion replicas" of the aliens, which, as revealed at the end of the story, were actually replicoids, "hijacked" from the archive of replicoids at Observer Base in the Hierion Domain. The replicas "arrived" on Earth while the actual aliens remained on their home planet.

The Trysta-Grean Pact
Under the requirements of the Trysta-Grean Pact, all such First Contact stories containing hints about hierions or sedrons were systematically erased from Earth's Final Reality timeline. However, in the Ekcolir Reality, the Writers Block worked hard to make sure that stories were published on Earth that would prepare Earthlings for the arrival of the Fru'wu.

When Isaac Asimov was growing up, he grew tired of the many stories about mechanical men (robots) that assumed man-made artificial life forms would become a menace, with disastrous consequences for Humanity. Asimov went on to write thoughtful stories about peaceful robots that would help humans.

Hana
Similarly, when I was growing up, I quickly lost interest in stories about aliens who would travel across vast interstellar distances in order to pillage Earth like a barbarian horde riding into a European city from the plains of Asia.

Conflict
The Exode Saga is about peaceful aliens who created the human species. A science fiction story about aliens without war and conflict? There is conflict in the Exode Saga: what can best be called philosophical conflict.

"The fundamental source of tension and conflict for stories set in the Exodemic Fictional Universe is the struggle between Interventionists and Overseers." (source)

Parthney on Hemmal
When I wrote that sentence (above) back in 2012, it was my intention to use the story Exode as a way to explore what I call Genesaunt society. Hana would be exiled from Earth and go off the explore various exoplanets that were home to Gensaunts. In the Andromeda galaxy, on the planet Luk'ru, Hana gives birth to Izhiun. Eventually, Izhiun goes to Earth and becomes a source of conflict.

My best source of information about Izhiun and the adventures of Hana in outer space comes from a set of information nanites that Izhiun provided me with. It was Ivory Fersoni who arranged for both Thomas and Izhiun to pass along infites to me, allowing me to understand the Genesaunt cultures on both Luk'ru and Hemmal.

Preland
The planets Luk'ru and Hemmal are worlds with complex histories. Here in the Final Reality, it is tempting to view both of these planets as centers for Interventionist activity, although they are both apparently examples of artificial planets, having been crafted by the pek so as to closely simulate conditions on Earth.

Hemmal was where the pek designed a human variant known as the Prelands in the First Reality. The pek intended that Prelands would replace the humans of Earth. After establishment of the Trysta-Grean Pact, Hemmal became a training ground for Interventionist agents such as Parthney.

Interventionism
Hana's family tree
What was Parthney's mission on Earth? We may never know the answer to that question because he was captured by the Earth Overseers and removed from Earth.

One task performed by Parthney before he departed from Earth was to teleport Hana off to the galactic core. Hana was not happy on Earth, having been used as an incubator for one of the Ivory clones (Hilde). Hilde was a difficult child for Hana to raise, but she eventually became an important employee at Space Energy Missions.

Deep Time
The Mission Collaborators
Space Energy Missions was much more important in past Realities than in the Final Reality. In the world as we know it, Space Energy Missions seems only to have existed as a strange by-product of Temporal Momentum. Without any technology transfer from either the Fru'wu or the Buld, Interventionist agents such as Hilde did not have much to do on Earth. Hilde departed from Earth aboard the Buld Spaceship, happy to escape from this world.

I never got to meet Hilde, but I did once get to "meet" her replicoid. Currently, Nora is trying to arrange for the Buld space ship to return to Earth and haul away Izhiun and any other aliens who should not be present on Earth in violation of the terms of the Trysta-Grean Pact.

Here in the final Reality, Zeta believes that Parthney played an important role in allowing Thomas to remain on Earth long enough to pass me some infites. Those infites have been a major source of information about how the Foundation Reality was transformed into the Asimov Reality.

For many years I believed that the Kac'hin had been able to defeat R. Gohrlay and take possession of Eternity because the pek had engineered the Kac'hin to have a special type of telepathy powered by their zeptite endosymbiont. More recently, with the help of Rylla, I have realized that the pek may have originally planned to infiltrate Kac'hin into the population of Earth. Once on this planet, they could have set about genetically engineering a new "hidden invasion force" by making use of their ability to craft complete genomes for human zygotes. However, before that plan could be put into effect, the Huaoshy first discovered the replicoid system of Earth and then they learned how to use replicoids to infiltrate Eternity.

In the Final Reality, the ability of the Kac'hin to manipulate genomes was used to create both the Ivory clones and Rylla's mind clone. Zeta believes that Kach was sent to Hemmal in order to begin the process of crafting what would become the special mind clone that is now being used to link Rylla to Georgy. Kach collected special Asterothrope gene combinations from Parthney and some of those genes found their way into Izhiun.

Kach on Hemmal
I suspect that Izhiun inherited the Kac'hin ability to manipulate genomes and it was he who was able to make sure that both Rylla and Georgy are now carrying copies of their telepathically linked mind clones.

the Sedron Monopoly
It now appears that the Kac'hin were designed by the pek to infiltrate Earth and find a way to defeat R. Gohrlay. They were successful in that task, but R. Gohrlay was not completely defeated. Zeta believes that R. Gohrlay "captured" some Kac'hin and began using them for her own purposes. Thus, Kach was used by the bumpha to help create the mind clone network.

Interventionists vs Overseers
"Earth:Day 1"
Thus, the Kac'hin have a dual nature. That human variant first functioned as a tool of the pek that allowed the Huaoshy to take control of Eternity, ending the most audacious example of bumpha Interventionism. However, the Huaoshy were pleased to discover that R. Gohrlay's great time travel adventure had led them to a more secure Sedron Monopoly. R. Gohrlay was allowed to then use the Kac'hin as a way to engineer a Final Reality for Earth in which we humans would have a chance to spread among the stars on our species' own greatest adventure.
