Wendy |
For many years I imagined a strict separation between the positronic robots of Earth and the Kac'hin, particularly Grean. The Kac'hin were crafted by the pek while the positronic robots were revolutionaries who kicked the pek out of our galaxy.
However, what if when Grean took control of Eternity, she gained access to positronic robot technology? If so, then it should not be a complete surprise to find positronic robots working together with Grean.
Also, the Kac'hin were crafted as a telepathic human variant and much of the genetic engineering that eventually made possible the Kac'hin was originally carried out by positronic robots (see Asterothropes).

Thomas is nervous about dealing with Wendy because it was Wendy who removed Thomas' sister Gwyned from Earth. As Wendy explains, that because: "Gwyned would not stop developing dangerous technology." That first story about Wendy and Thomas is set in the Buld Reality, just before a few adjustments are made, bringing into existence the Final Reality, the world as we know it.
Thomas moves past his distrust of Wendy and is captivated by her physical charms. 💘 Wendy is playing the role of the daughter of a wealthy European film producer. Thomas has just started a new job working for Ultimate Publishing, a new company devoted to printing hard-cover editions of science fiction novels.

Wendy is something of a blabber mouth and she keeps dropping hints that she can see the future. Wendy indicates that it is Vance who will first publish a story using the term 'Genesaunt'. Wendy can use memory-altering nanites to edit Thomas' memories and prevent him from remembering everything that Wendy tells him about the future.
Wendy also tells Thomas that the reason they share a telepathic connection is because Wendy has Asterothrope genes. However, that was a "cover story" to hide the fact that she is actually a positronic robot. Thomas' mother, Trysta, was an Asterothrope, so Thomas is ready to accept the idea that Wendy is biological and has Asterothrope gene combinations.
Wendy arrives at Smade's Tavern. |
Grean sends Wendy into the AR Simulator. Wendy originated as a positronic robot, composed of hadronic matter, but Grean has since converted Wendy into a new physical form, a replicoid composed of femtobot components.
Wendy and Araminta Smade |
I'm currently working on a new story called "The Alastor Network" that further explores how the Phari linked together planets in a telepathic network.
While working with Wendy, Grean is still learning how to fully utilize the AR Simulator. In particular, Grean has not yet learned how to hack into to the subset of data stored in the AR Simulator that was generated by the Phari. This is a severe hindrance for Grean's efforts because human telepathy was created by a collaboration between positronic robots and the Phari.
Fengtol |
I tried to write a kind of origins story for Wendy called "Hierion Writers Club". The positronic robots originated from a First Reality woman named Gohrlay who had a large number of Neanderthal gene patterns. Positronic robots had a tradition of using Neanderthal names. Wendy's original Neanderthal name was Phengh'toule, usually shortened to Fengtol for convenience.
Other Robots
Dani the robot |
Later Day Robots
In addition to Wendy, there is also Dani (an artificial life copy of the positronic robot Daneel) who exists in the Final Reality. Dani must work "with" Wendy to make sure that the terms of the Trysta-Grean Pact have been met.

Just before the Final Reality arrives, the bumpha made use of a positronic robot (Dani) and the pek made use of an "alien" from the Andromeda galaxy (Nirutam) as their agents on Earth. There was also a hidden agent who accompanied Nirutam (Myryn), but that story has not yet been told.
Danni |
I like to imagine that Daneel took many forms, including the historian, Danela Steel. There was also a period of time during which Daneel used the name Danni. Daneel, disguised as Danni, worked in Alastor Cluster, hidden among the robots of Triskelion.

Other positronic robots who remained loyal to R. Gohrlay were deployed as field agents during the Asimov Reality. Working closely with R. Nyrtia, there was a robot named Oliveene: "... R. Oliveene Nhevrix, one of
my agents who worked on the Telepathic Human Project in Alastor
Cluster."
Oliveene is also using a replicoid body composed of femtobots and she can morph into any useful physical form such as a cat.
So, I called this blog post "Wendy", but there was a whole tribe of positronic robots who worked closely with Grean and other group "loyalists" robots who continued to work with R. Gohrlay.
Next: part 3 of "The Alastor Network".
