Future ᮲𐅛𐒢𒐵

Figure 1. A Larthia Network Node. Generated by Gemini.
This blog page (below) has Part 10 of my Decade in Review (DiR, see Part 1). All of the blog posts in this series have titles that contain unusual characters. This blog post is called "Future ᮲𐅛𐒢𒐵" because at the start of 2022 I wrote a series of related science fiction stories called "The Nyrtia Cycle" and 2222 = ᮲𐅛𐒢𒐵, written in assorted symbols meaning "2".

Social Study. As described in Part 9 of this Decade in Review (DiR), I imagined that in the Ekcolir Reality, an Asterothrope named Yenti lived in Site Q during the time period around the year 3605 and I tried to imagine elements of a future society that had formed from a population of telepathic Asterothropes for my story Telepaths of Site Q

Figure 2. A Larthia Network Node by Whisk.
New Technologies. In the case of the year 2222, I don't have any confidence that I can imagine the future technologies of the year 2222. I asked Gemini to imagine an Etruscan Civilization such as I pretend existed in the Ekcolir Reality and I had Gemini describe the kinds of technologies that might exist in that civilization's equivalent of our year 2222. Gemini invented the "Larthia Network Node" which it described as being components of the "Larthia Network" which consists of massive, orbital or deep-space arrays that don't transmit information faster than light in the traditional sense. Instead, they exploit pre-existing, incredibly subtle quantum entanglements established by the pek between inhabited worlds of the galaxy.

Figure 3. Etruscan space elevator by Gemini.
Larthia Network. According to Gemini, when activated, those "quantum entanglement" relays allow for instantaneous information exchange along pre-established pek-engineered pathways. As part of this Decade in Review (DiR), I'm making use of AI-powered image generating software to make story illustrations.

Oracle Matrons. Figure 1 (above) was generated by Gemini. I then used the image that is in Figure 1 as a reference image for Whisk (see Figure 2). I don't know if the free version of Gemini is using the latest version of Google's Imagen software, but Gemini currently provides larger, seemingly more detailed AI-generated images than does Whisk. The Gemini-generated text prompt for these "communications nodes" is shown below...

Figure 4. An Etruscan fusion reactor by Whisk.
"A vast, intricate structure, almost alive, situated in the deep vacuum of space. It's designed for quantum entanglement relays, not direct radio waves, so it doesn't have traditional dish antennas. Instead, it's a marvel of Pek-inspired biomimicry and Thirasian engineering.

The core of the node is a cluster of massive, crystalline structures, resembling impossibly huge, perfectly faceted geodes or abstract, blooming flowers made of dark, shimmering obsidian-ceramic composite. These crystals are not inert; they subtly glow with internal, pulsating light, shifting through deep blues, purples, and faint greens – the visual manifestation of the Pek-engineered quantum entanglement pathways being activated.

Figure 5. Enclosed Etruscan habitat by Whisk.
Surrounding and connecting these central crystals are delicate, web-like arrays of ultra-thin filaments. These filaments aren't rigid metal; they appear to be composed of a self-assembling, biologically-derived meta-material, resembling glowing neural pathways or a cosmic root system. They extend outwards for kilometers, catching distant starlight and faintly reflecting it, creating a shimmering, almost ethereal presence against the blackness of space.

Small, sleek Thirasian maintenance drones, resembling stylized hummingbirds or iridescent insects, flit silently along the filaments, their own subtle bio-luminescence adding to the network's glow.

Figure 6. An Etruscan spaceship by Whisk.
Larger, more robust Thirasian "Anchor" stations (small, self-sustaining habitats for the Oracle-Matrons and technical crew) are nestled among the crystals, their organic curves and integrated hydroponic gardens visible through transparent sections, hinting at the living aspect of the Thirasian Hegemony even in the void.

Figure 7. An Etruscan cargo spaceship by Whisk.
The overall impression is one of immense scale, organic complexity, and profound silence. It's a structure that feels both ancient and incredibly advanced, a testament to a civilization that understands the universe not just as inert matter, but as a living, interconnected system. There's no harsh artificial lighting, only the internal glow of the crystals and the reflected starlight, making it appear as a natural part of the cosmic tapestry, humming with unseen energies." In addition to the "Larthia Interstellar Communications Network Node" (see Figure 1, above), other futuristic Etruscan technologies that were suggested by Gemini are illustrated in Figures 3 - 7.

Figure 8. Nyrtia updated by Mr. Wombo.
Studying the First Reality. The first chapter of my science fiction story The Historical Archive is in the January 7, 2022 blog post called "R. Nyrtia". For The Historical Archive, I tried to have alternating chapters that were set in the First Reality and the Last Reality of Earth's Reality Chain. Chapter one is set in the Final Reality where Zeta (who is a Neanderthal) and Eddy (A.K.A. 'the Editor', who has a tryp'At-style brain) are trying to accommodate themselves to changes made to their bodies by body-sculpting nanites. They are being allowed to take on some alien bodily features after living for decades in bodies that had been forced into conventional human form.

The Origin of Time Travel. In Part 1 of The Historical Archive, Eddy meets Yrovi and Nyrtia (see Figure 8) and he is given access to a Reality Simulation System that allows him to study events in the First Reality.

Figure 9. Dodaqowż and Ursyña
faces updated by Mr. Wombo.

In Part 2 of The Historical Archive, Eddy is inside a Simulation of the First Reality. He arrives at a time that is 34,655 years after the events depicted in the first chapter of the novel Foundations of Eternity. If I cannot imagine what new technologies will appear 200 years in our future, then how did I depict a human society inside Eternity that has existed for millennia?

The two key guiding backstory elements for The Historical Archive were 1) at the point in time when Eddy arrives in the First Reality, a telepathic positronic robot named Nahan had long been in complete control of the human society at the Eternity space-time bubble. Eddy is given a chance to observe Nyrtia's first time travel mission. 2) The population of humans inside Eternity is quite small and has been completely cut-off from the bulk of Humanity that is on Earth. For thousands of years, Nahan has focused on one technological goal; finding a way to use time travel as a practical way of guiding Humanity to a better future.

Figure 10. Nyrtia visits
    Earth. Generated by Whisk.
Creating Temporal Momentum. The key technological challenge facing Nahan is discovering a means to defeat the "butterfly effect".

Nahan's efforts to tame the chaos of Reality Changes have centered on constructing a system that will endow Earth with Temporal Momentum. Towards that goal, Nahan has designed a new human variant called the Nyrturians. All of the Nyrturians were female (see).

In Part 2 of The Historical Archive, two Nyrturians become central to the story and Nahan's goal: Dodaqowż and Ursyña (see Figure 9). For Figure 9, I tried to have WOMBO Dream capture a slightly-alien look for the Nyrturians and included in the text prompt: "exceptionally large eyes, a high forehead, a small chin, a narrow face with prominent cheek bones,  the pretty androgynous human has a long, narrow face". It is a challenge to get AI image generators to make convincing human variants that are slightly alien in appearance.

Figure 11. First Science.

The image shown in Figure 10 is meant to depict Nyrtia finally visiting Earth. The AI image generating software systems come up with some strange ways of depicting teleportation events (compare Figure 10 and Figure 17, below). The reference image from 2022 that was provided to Whisk is shown at the top of this blog post.

Garden World Earth. In the Exode Saga, I imagine that the pek were working to make a human variant called the Prelands the dominant primate of Earth. The Prelands had been crafted so as to reproduce slowly, not be interested in science and technological advancement and eventually be willing to transcend from their biological form into the Hierion Domain where they could exist as artificial life-forms. The pek consider worlds such as Earth to be precious "Garden Worlds" that should be protected from damage by technologically immature and aggressive species. In The Historical Archive, it is mentioned that Eddy's analogue in the First Reality was a Preland.

The First Reality.
However, when the positronic robots of Earth took control of Eternity (as told in Foundations of Eternity) the pek plans for Earth and Humanity were derailed. Positronic robots including Nahan and Nyrtia set out to use time travel as a tool for crafting a future for the human species in which humans would have a great adventure spreading to millions of planets in the Galaxy.

Dewoys and Don'ts. When Eddy first meets Nyrtia inside the Simulation of the First Reality, Nyrtia is reluctant to believe that she is inside a Simulation. The Nyrtia of the Final Reality briefly shows herself to the Nyrtia of the First Reality. Nyrtia from the future says, "Don't be so stubborn, Nyny." 'Nyny' was Dewoy's pet name for Nyrtia. Nyrtia's sister Dewoy alone had used the name 'Nyny' ever since they were little children. Finally Nyrtia of the Final Reality begins to accept the idea of being inside a Simulation.

Figure 12. First Reality Robots.

Positronic Robots. The meaning of "the historical archive" is introduced in Part 2 of the science fiction story The Historical Archive. Nahan is trying to build a detailed record of the past 30,000 years of history inside the Observer Base space-time bubble. Nahan plans to protect that historical record against being lost when time travel missions change the historical time line. In particular, Nahan plans to rescue R. Gohrlay, who died in the far past, creating a new time line in which R. Gohrlay is never killed and attains a type of immortality. The historical archive of Observer Base will be kept inside a special vault (what will become the Eternity time travel system), protected against the effects of changing the time line.

Figure 13. Kate Zakon.
     Generated by Mr. Wombo.

Dodaqowż and Ursyña have been working with the scanning equipment that was part of the pek teleportation system at Observer base. They have been studying an ancient pek facility on Earth.

Then after they meet, Nyrtia asks Dodaqowż and Ursyña for help with the data storage buffer in Nyrtia's time machine. Nyrtia is shown a new invention of the Nyrturians, a portable hierion generator. Nyrtia quickly discovers that a key pek technology, the sedron condenser, can be controlled by the hierion generator. Nyrtia announces, "This is the secret of time travel."

Figure 14. Kate Zakon.
     Generated by Mr. Wombo.
Kate Zakon? The reference image for Figures 12 - 14 is the 6th image on this blog page. As shown in Figure 14, some of the images that were generated by WOMBO Dream did not bother to put clothing on the woman who is shown in these scenes with robots.

For some of the images that were generated by Mr. Wombo, her head was a mess and I had WOMBO Dream re-generate a better face using a text prompt that included, "Kate Jackson". In one of the WOMBO-generated images there was text: "akon" which I modified to "Zakon" (see Figure 13).

More of these WOMBO-generated robot images are at the very bottom of this blog post.

Figure 15. Updated
by Mr. Wombo.
When R. Gohrlay used her telepathic abilities to take control of Observer Base ( see Foundations of Eternity), the many femtobot replicoids at Observer Base were all inactivated. In the time of R. Nyrtia, the data storage modules (sedron condensers) from those long "dead" replicoids are being used for new purposes, such as memory storage for robots like Nyrtia and for the "pattern buffer" in her time machine.

In Part 3 of The Historical Archive, after exactly 24 hours inside the First Reality Simulator, both the Editor and Yrovi were returned to where the Nyrtia from the Final Reality was waiting for them. R. Nahan has employed a series of Archivists who have endeavored to create the an archive of all the important information that has been accumulated inside Observer Base. A former Archivist was Qway, and Nyrtia adopted the bodily form of Qway by programing her femtobot components to take on that particular physical form. At the time of Eddy's visit to the First Reality, the current Archivist is Myum, the mother of Dodaqowż and Ursyña.

Probots. Nyrtia tells Eddy, "Nahan designed the Nyrturians as a telepathic human variant. Each of them carried a device in their brain that provided them with a form of technology-assisted telepathy. The Nyrturians were a very early precursor to the Asterothropes." Nyrtia began her artificial life with Qway's childhood brain pattern and then lived with a human family while here brain developed and matured. Thus, Nyrtia was among the first probots, positronic robots instantiated in femtobot bodies that were able to go through developmental stages of brain growth. This provided Nyrtia with the cognitive flexibility to solve many technical problems while collaborating with biological Nyrturians such as Dodaqowż (a clone of Qway) and Ursyña. Nyrtia's invention of practical teleportation and time travel technologies that could be exploited by the positronic robots.

Educating Eddy. Eddy learns that Nyrtia's positronic brain circuits allowed her to utilize the Nyrturian method of telepathically linking shared orgasms as a means to enhance telepathic communication. Nyrtia explains to Eddy, "My first time travel trip only went back 34 thousand years and my goal was to get a look at a functioning teleportation device."

Figure 18. Brain design.

Part 4 of the science fiction story The Historical Archive is in a  January 15, 2022 blog post titled "A Visit to Earth". Inside the First Reality Simulation, Eddy and Nyrtia use Nyrtia's time machine to visit Earth.

At the same time, Yrovi takes a First Reality positronic robot named R. Lynscot to the facility inside Observer Base where probots can be provided with the physical appearance of any of the past residents of Observer Base. R. Lynscot is programmed with the appearance of an Escapist from the far past, in the time when Gohrlay was alive. The AI-generated image that is shown in Figure 18 was made using a reference image from 2022 that is the third image in this blog post.

The Shape of Time.
In Part 5 of "The Historical Archive", Nyrtia makes a synapex linkage to Eddy and demonstrates that they can link their thoughts by means of a direct physical connection between their brains. The first use of synapex technology in the First Reality was for linking the nervous systems of Nyrturian mothers and their children.

Nyrtia also reveals to Eddy that Rylla is a "fixed point of time" who was a friend of Eddy's First Reality analogue, a Preland named Meppen. Nyrtia also admits that she has a selfish reason for having revealed herself to Eddy at this time.

Nyrtia is re-configuring her brain so that she can use the version of the Bimanoid Interface that exists in the Final Reality for telepathy.

Figure 19. Creating Rylla.
    Image generated by Whisk.
Telepathy Experiments with Rylla and Eddy. In Part 6 of the science fiction story The Historical Archive, Nyrtia continues her study of the Bimanoid Interface 2.0 by sending Eddy into a Simulation of Australia in the year 1814 as was described in the story Old Time Gaming. In that Simulation, Rylla has powerful telepathic abilities; she and Eddy can communicate telepathically. Nyrtia is there in the role of Liza so that she can gain experience with Bimanoid Interface 2.0. Nyrtia explains, "Manny the bumpha linked your two minds together in a way that I've never seen before. I want to find out how she did it."

While performing her telepathy experiments, Nyrtia is also preparing to make a copy of Rylla that Nyrtia will be able to deploy as her own agent as part of what Nyrtia describes as her "research team in the Final Reality Simulator".

Figure 20. In the Buld Reality.
    Image generated by Whisk.
Just before the Final Reality. In Part 7 of the science fiction story The Historical Archive, Nyrtia has assembled her team in preparation for a visit with last Ek'col on Earth in the Buld Reality, a woman named Gwen who is the analogue of Gwyned in the Buld Reality. Gwen is the daughter of Trysta Iwedon. As part of this mission into the Buld Reality Simulation, Nyrtia hopes to attract the attention of Grean the kac'hin. Nyrtia is having fun playing dress-up games and had dressed Zeta in a 1960s outfit with a too-tight t-shirt and a very skimpy miniskirt. While working on Earth as an Interventionist agent for Grean, Trysta Iwedon was using the name Tanny Lucyny in the Buld Reality.

In Part 8 of the science fiction story The Historical Archive, Eddy arrives inside the Buld Reality Simulation and meets Gwen. Gwen and Eddy instantly begin to interact telepathically. As an Ek'col-Asterothrope hybrid, Gwen can sense Eddy's thoughts and also telepathically manipulate his emotions.

Figure 21a. Teleportation duplicates.
Grean is attracted by the presence of Nyrtia's team members inside the Buld Reality, and Grean soon arrives inside the Simulation. Nyrtia is able to completely access all of Grean's memories and she is surprised to learn that Manny the bumpha left a message for Nyrtia at another point in time, in ancient Sicily.

Part 9 of the science fiction story The Historical Archive is in a  February 7, 2022 blog post called "The Isolates". An "isolate" is a person who for some reason has last their connection to the Bimanoid Interface, the system that was created as a means of providing Earth with Temporal Momentum. Nyrtia explains to Eddy that the sex hormone clytykynyn was a feature of Neanderthal biology: a telepathy-amplifying pheromone that was involved in pair-bonding between male and female Neanderthals.

Figure 21b. Duplication.
    Image generated by Whisk.
Since Zeta is a Neanderthal, he should not be surprised that she responds to the clytykynyn that Eddy's body is now making. Back in the First Reality, Nahan made sure that the Nyrturians also used clytykynyn as part of their telepathic social system.

Teleportation Duplication. Nyrtia also tells Eddy, "I went back through time and made teleportation duplicates of the Escapists. Those teleporter scans could be used to fashion femtobot replicoid copies of the Escapists. Eventually, it became possible to engineer a momentum of time... after I figured out how to make the Bimanoid Interface."

Duplication by Holography. The image that is shown in Figure 21a was used as a reference image for Whisk, resulting in the new AI-generated image that is shown in Figure 21b. Whisk interpreted the reference image as showing: "holographic version of the same female stands on a glowing blue circular platform, in a similar pose".

Figure 22. Synasyup.
    Image generated by Whisk.
Eddy learns that an Asterothrope named Synasyup from siteq was allowed to visit Earth. Nyrtia tells Eddy, "Qaz designed a ritual-filled society for siteq. Synasyup was one of the first residents of siteq to show an interest in science." Synasyup told Empedocles about nanotechnology, causing alterations to Earth's timeline. Now, Manny wants to meet Nyrtia at that point in time, Inside the Reality Simulation System.

In Part 10 of The Historical Archive, Eddy arrives inside a simulation of ancient Sicily where Empedocles (who, being a mutated isolate, lives disconnected from the Bimanoid Interface) and Synasyup (who is playing the role of an Earthling named Pausanias but who is actually an Asterothrope from Site Q) are in danger of derailing the course of human history.

Figure 23. Synasyup's infites.
    Image generated by Whisk.
When Eddy arrives in the past, he is "swapped" into the Simulation, substituting Eddy for the Interventionist agent who was previously seen in the role of "John Smith" in the story Old Time Gaming

Nyrtia has a chance to meet with Manny and she learns that after Alpha Gohrlay and Manny departed from Earth, Nyrtia was trapped inside the Reality Simulation System when Manny activated Bimanoid Interface 2.0 and merged the Bimanoid Interface into the Simulation System and linked it to the Sedron Domain.

Now Nyrtia acts as a guardian of Earth, constrained to assist Humanity by her original programming as a positronic robot. Nyrtia provides Eddy with some infites and sends him out of the Simulated past of Sicily and back to his place in time in the Final Reality.

Figure 24. Interventionists.
    Image generated by Whisk.
In Part 11 of The Historical Archive, Earth is at risk of drifting into dangerous patterns of technological developments. It will be Nyrtia's job to keep Humanity on track for a favorable future. Nyrtia will need helpers on Earth, and now Zeta and the Editor must contemplate the possibility of crafting a pair of telepathic twins who can work with Nyrtia to guide Humanity safely into the future.

His time with Nyrtia inside the Reality Simulation System now complete, upon arriving back in his home, Zeta tells Eddy, "For the past week, Nora and I have been discussing you and making plans for the twins." During Eddy's time spent with Nyrtia insid ethe Simulation System, Manny explained to Zeta that Nora was sent to Earth carrying the genetic patterns that are needed for one of the two twins while Eddy and Zeta will provide the genetic material the other twin.

Figure 25. Synapex telepaths.
    Image generated by Whisk.
The immortal femtobot replicoid copy of Synasyup, who Eddy had met thousands of years ago in the Simulated past of Earth, now appears in the home of Eddy and Zeta. Now taking into his brain the infites that were provided to him by Nyrtia, Eddy realizes that the word "synapex" was named after Synasyup. Working to develop direct human-to-human nervous system linkages was one of the projects that Synasyup had worked on for Manny the bumpha. Eddy realizes that Synasyup's femtobot body carried the last quarter of the gene patterns that were needed for the creation of Zeta's two twins. As developing fetuses inside Zeta, these twins will grow with their nervous systems continuously linked to Zeta's nervous system and with occasional synapex links to Eddy.

The young daughter of Eddy and Zeta, Tihri, says, "Tā is fine." 'Tā' was a mangled version of the name of one of Zeta's twins (Beta) and Tihri's telepathic mind is like an antenna and she has received information from the twins in the future by way of the Sedron Time Stream.

Yōd is trapped in the Asimov Reality Simulation.
Figure 26. This image was generated by Whisk.
In a February 7, 2022 blog post titles "The Nā́satyā Intervention" was Part 12 of the science fiction story The Historical Archive. Eddy speculates, "Back when time travel existed, it was a property of some sedrons to travel back through time. That created a sedronic record of all future time. I've long suspected that some telepaths like Angela Fersoni could tap into the sedron time stream." Eddy has not noticed that Synasyup has slipped them all into a Simulation of the Final Reality where the new twins will gestate at an accelerated rate relative to the normal passage of time in the Final Reality. Eddy has long lamented his inability of humans like himself and Yōd to voluntarily exit from Simulations.

Figure 27. Trysta Iwedon.
    Image generated by Whisk.
In Part 13 of The Historical Archive, it is revealed to readers that Zeta's twins are being born crafted inside the Reality Simulation System. Nyrtia wants as helpers two powerful telepaths who will be able to influence the thoughts and behavior of humans on Earth, without them ever having to leave the confines of the Reality Simulation System.

Rylla reports to Eddy that an ancient story was found in the archives of the Writers Block, a "story" apparently written by Jorgia after she was removed from the home of Empedocles and replaced by Manny's immortal wondering Interventionist agent, 'John Smith'. Under the pen name 'Yanyky', Jorgia's story (which was written inside Observer Base) mentions 'Lucyny', apparently the Tanny Lucyny who Eddy had met inside a Simulation of 1960s Perth Australia and who was actually Trysta Iwedon the Asterothrope.

Figure 28. Embront telepathy.
    Image generated by Whisk.
Apparently, Jorgia grew up on Earth as a human being who had inherited large numbers of Ek'col and Kac'hin gene patterns from descendants of Ekcolir and Trysta.

In Part 13 of The Historical Archive, Eddy learns that it is possible to use the Reality Simulation System to make teleportation duplicates of people. Events in Part 13 have shifted back into the real world, but a copy of Eddy's home and the pregnant Zeta is still "running" at high speed inside the Simulation System. When a duplicate copy of Synasyup emerges from the Simulator, telepathic positive feedback develops between the two copies of Synasyup that are now together in Eddy's home.

Figure 29. Gamma and Beta.
    Image generated by Whisk.
The biological Zeta who is in the Final Reality learns that she is also pregnant, but will never again give birth. The organism that is growing inside her will remain inside her and provide a way for Zeta to telepathically communicate to the twins who are inside the Simulator.

In Part 14 of The Historical Archive, Eddy returns to the Reality Simulation System at a point in the 1960s, in search of Zeta's clone sister, Gamma. Arriving inside the Final Reality Simulation at a time when Eddy is 10 years old, he finds that 'John Smith' is living with Gwen the Interventionist agent in a large comfortable house less than a mile from Eddy's childhood home.

Figure 30. Gwen and friends.
    Image generated by Whisk.
Eddy can telepathically sense that Gwen is looking into his thoughts. Gwen admits that she has a G-sim... an endosymbiont that helps her control the minds of the tryp-At Interventionists. She tells Eddy, "a G-sim is biological, an extension of my nervous system that allows my telepathic mind to resonate efficiently with a tryp'At brain".

Eddy says, "I wonder... maybe 'G-sim' is short for 'Gamma-sim'."

Finally, Gamma Gohrlay appears and explains to Eddy that her mission on Earth is to monitor all of the tryp'At agents who have been sent to Earth. She tells Eddy, "Someone went to a lot of trouble to make you seem to be a tryp'At who had been altered by developmental control nanites so as to appear to be human. However, as far as I can tell, you are genetically human, but your brain was modified during embryonic development so as to take on the structure of a tryp'At brain."

Figure 31. Image generated by Mr. Wombo.
At the very end of The Historical Archive, the bodies of Eddy and Zeta begin to return to their former configurations. Eddy discovers that with some of the nanites that he received from Nyrtia still permanently inside his body, he can consciously control his exits from the Reality Simulation System. As described in "The Nyrtia Cycle", The Historical Archive was the first part of a series of linked stories. Next in that series was The Prisoner of L2, another adventure in the Reality Simulation System.

ᴺiʀutam&maturᴙiᴻ

Figure 1. Nirutam by Mr. Wombo.
This blog page (below) has Part 5 of my Decade in Review (DiR, see Part 1). All of the blog posts in this series have titles that contain unusual characters. This blog post is called "ᴺiʀutam&Maturᴙiᴻ" because for my 2020 writing Change Challenge I invented a new character called Nirutam. Nirutam's "backup copy" is called Maturin.

Tami. Nirutam was introduced in a Jan. 5, 2020 blog post called "Two Wrongs". The image that is shown in Figure 1 was updated by WOMBO Dream from the original book cover for "The Nirutam Intervention" that was used as a story illustration in 2020. The text of my story about Nirutam noted that, "Nirutam has glossy orange-brown skin and wears a wig." Nirutam is an alien from the Andromeda galaxy, but she has to "fit in" with the people of Earth during her mission. Colleen Liscan is an exile from Earth who while residing at Observer Base could write an account of Nirutam's life.

Figure 2. Orange alien.
For the image to the left, I requested, "a humanoid alien" with "orange alien skin". It is not easy to find the boundary between "alien" and "too alien", particularly when so many science fiction depictions of aliens make the aliens look ugly.

The Editor first met Nirutam when she was part of a writers group that met once a month to discuss writing. The Editor was intrigued by the science fiction stories that Nirutam told since they involved robots and an "escapist literature" about "creators" of the robots who long ago "transcended". The Editor cannot ignore the similarities between Nirutam's story "The T-Band Robots" and elements of what he thinks of as the Secret History of Humanity.

The Trysta-Grean Pact
Nirutam and the Editor discuss the bumpha and Nirutam comments: "Sadly, you don't have much information about the bumpha." Eventually (in 2021), I began allowing a character called Manny the bumpha to interact with the main characters of the Exode Saga, but as a bumpha, Manny is an artificial life-form that can take on any convenient form, including the spaceship Many Sails.

The other half of "Two Wrongs" is the presence of Dani the probot on Earth. Technically, it is a violation of the terms of the The Trysta-Grean Pact for Dani and Nirutam to be on Earth, but they are trying to verify that, besides themselves, no other alien influences remain on Earth. Dani makes the point that as a femtobot artificial life-form, he can move between Observer Base and Earth via a femtotube.

Figure 3. Updated by Mr. Wombo.
The fain of Ret'fai. For Figures 1 and 2 (above) I wanted images of a young and healthy Nirutam, but she was designed as a "disposable" Interventionist who could not survive for very long on Earth. By the time when Nirutam meets Zeta, Nirutam is already quite ill and will soon be dead. However, as a fain from the distant planet Ret'fai, Nirutam has carefully prepared her own Selfie as an artificial life "backup copy" of herself. During the brief time period when Nirutam exists as a biological life-form in Earth, she has a "pet cat" and her Selfie is hidden inside the cat.

The image shown in Figure 3 is an AI-updated version of a 2020 illustration in my blog post "Post Life". That is a depiction of Zeta, who is in her 60s, but Zeta makes use of medical nanites to avoid aging processes and retain a youthful body. Maturin is a sub-nanoscopic artificial life-form that resides inside the body of a cat while on Earth.

Manufactured people (source).
Extinct Aliens. Early in 2020, I was writing chapters of A Search Beyond that explained how Nirutam was prepared for her mission to Earth, but by the middle of 2020 I would abandon work on the five novels of the Exode Saga as it had been planned by the Editor. From that point on, I simply placed by science fiction stories at the wikifiction blog and pretended that the Editor had taken all of his blogs and writings off of the internet. In the chapter of A Search Beyond called "Nirutam", Many Sails tells Azynov about the history of the fain, "Originally they were the Onvo. The Onvo began using nanotechnology and managed to cause their own extinction."

As seen in A Search Beyond, my early thoughts about the Reality Simulation System (in 2019) included the idea that while a person used the Simulation System, their biological body needed to be cared for while their conscious mind explored the Simulation.

Figure 4. Updated by Mr. Wombo.
Disposable Bodies. In later stories that involved Reality Simulation, I abandoned that pesky detail, assuming that the Reality Simulation System had teleporter-like functionality that dematerialized a person's body while they used the Simulator.

Change Challenge. In a blog post dated Apr 17, 2020 and called "CC Complexity" I decided to make Tihri the recipient of a set of infites that were left behind on Earth by Nirutam. Eventually, Tihri discovered the more accurate spelling of her name (Tyhry) and became the first person on Earth to learn how to program and control femtobots, an advanced form of alien nanotechnology.

The original 2020 version of the scene shown in Figure 4 is at the end of the blog post "CC Complexity". The AI-updated version was generated by Mr. Wombo.

In Alastor Cluster.
In the end, the Nirutam character ended up playing three important roles in the Exode Saga: 1) she helped bring out into the open ISIO, 2) she helped make the Editor realize that he should hide his investigations of the Secret History of Humanity and 3) Tyhry began her role as the key Earthling who, with the assistance of Manny, would begin to deploy advanced nanotechnology on Earth.

In a blog post dated June 1, 2020 and called "Débutante", I finally presented Part 2 of The Yerophet Experiment, which I had begun in December 2019. On the planet Triskelion in the Asimov Reality is an analogue of Isaac Asimov's famous positronic robot, Daneel. The version of Daneel who is on Triskelion is called Danni. Triskelion is depicted as the most technologically advanced world of Alastor Cluster, its wealth based on hierion mining.

On Yerophet (image source).

By Part 6 of The Yerophet Experiment, the action has shifted from Triskelion to the planet Yerophet where Maturin is serving as the assistant of Colleen. Maturin has a ranch in Goslewenn, where Colleen stayed after her arrival on Yerophet. Goslewenn is a tiny hamlet right on the border of Kerub territory, on the fringe of Frost Hills District where there are several Kerub villages conveniently nearby.

In one of those native villages is the home of lo'Whots, a Kerub who is helping Colleen investigate Kerub telepathy and how it is causing troubles for human settlers on Yerophet.

Grean's Hack (image credits)
The Utility of Fain Gene Patterns in the Ekcolir Reality. In a blog post dated August 1, 2020 and called "Fateful Planet" there is the first part of a story called Grean's Hack, an account of the development of human-fain hybrids who could help counter the effects of the Fru'wu on Earth.

Figure 5. Updated by Mr. Wombo.
The third blog post with story elements for Grean's Hack is in "Alien Hybrids" (see Figure 5). In the Ekcolir Reality of Deep Time, Asimov's wife Marcia gives birth to Sven, an human-fain hybrid, who would appear again in later stories.

The Interventionist agent Svahr appears in Grean's Hack. Sven had been carefully designed with genes from many sources only two of which were Isaac and Marcia. Svahr explains, "Sven is a hybrid; even now he is in two-way communication with his replicoid in the Hierion Domain."

"Time of Theurgency". The August 6, 2020 blog post called "Matter Duplication" has a continuation of the Grean's Hack series of stories.  "Time of Theurgency" begins with Grean and Trysta making plans for the Final Reality. Those plans involve Ariel Adler (the Ekcolir Reality analogue of Allen Adler), previously introduced as a friend of Marcia. Ariel is "part of the famous show business Adler family of New York, Virginia". Grean notes that Marcia and Ariel were long-time lovers, even after Marcia was married to Isaac Asimov. Trysta and Grean make a teleportation duplicate of Ariel. Telepathic linkage between two copies of Ariel, one remaining on Earth and the other one now in the Hierion Domain, allows Ariel to incorporate Trysta Iwedon as a character in a science fiction story that she is writing.

Figure 6. Trysta in the Hierion Domain (source).
The fate of the new copy of Ariel Adler who appears in the Hierion Domain is described in "Relda". Beginning a new life in the Hierion Domain, Ariel2 is greeted by Trysta Iwedon the Asterothrope (see Figure 6). Trysta explains to the new copy of Ariel, "Often what is done in these situations is to reverse the letters of the duplicate's original name."Ariel learns that she is needed to train an Interventionist agent named Gertrude. Soon after her arrival in the Hierion Domain, Ariel2 (Relda) also meets Wendy the probot and Deomede the Ek'col.

Petra Nicholls and Gina Hay (image source).

The concluding section of "Time of Theurgency" was in a blog post called "Making Hay". My story character Gina is depicted as the Ekcolir Reality analogue of the grand-daughter of George Hay who helped found, "the Science Fiction Foundation in 1972, espousing in that role his continuing sense that sf provides an armamentarium of mostly technological tools for coping with the future" (source). Gina is a mind clone of Ariel who along with Petra Nicholls formed the Foundation for Science Fiction, an organization devoted to countering the Fru'wu Movement on Earth. When two copies of Ariel meet Gina on Earth, they can sense a telepathic link to Gina. Using the Bimanoid Interface, Relda will be able to transmit information from the Writers Block to Ariel on Earth.

another mind clone network

The next component of Grean's Hack was "Foundation Reality Simulator". Isaac Asimov's son, Sven, experiments with an hierion probe, using Petra as a human test subject. Petra is part of a mind clone network that links her two the two copies of Isaac Asimov in the Ekcolir Reality, one on Earth and one at the Writers Block. In the blog post called "The FR Simulator", Sven tunes a hierion probe so that Petra's brain can efficiently us the Bimanoid Interface to connect her telepathic mind to that of the "other Asimov" in the Hierion Domain, the replicoid of Asimov from the previous Reality. The other Asimov has access to Reality Simulation equipment at Observer Base. He and Relda use a Simulation of the Foundation Reality to obtain data about the fain from an archeological site on the planet Terminus. The other Asimov also begins the process of linking science fiction story writer Sydney J. to her replicoid at the Writers Block.

The conclusion of "Foundation Reality Simulator" is in the blog post "Space Force". The character Danela Steel is yet another cover identity for Isaac Asimov's famous positronic robot, Daneel. Danela Steel works hard to cover-up the fact that robots from the fain interstellar civilization were on the planet Terminus millions of years before humans were crafted and brought into existence. In "Space Force", it is also suggested that the telepathic abilities of Giskard originated from an Intervention into Earthly affairs by the artificial life descendants of the fain. Gina is provided with a "domestic helper", Piero, who will provide Gina with the time that she needs to begin writing her own science fiction stories.

Ottengla
By the end of August 2020, Grean's Hack had grown to be a 50,000 word science fiction adventure set in the Ekcolir Reality. To that point, the story had three linked parts, "Terminus Planet", "Time of Theurgency" and "Foundation Reality Simulator". Petra is the star character of "Foundation Reality Simulator". At the end of August, I was not entirely done with Petra Nicholls as a character and in September I wrote a new story about Petra's replicoid, Artep.

Tirret

But first came another story, "The Gensifer Clan", a follow-up story to The Yerophet Experiment, which began to tell the tale of historical investigations carried out by Azynov and Yōd using the AR Simulator. The planet Ottengla is one of the worlds of Alastor Cluster where alien gene patterns were used to help make telepathic humans. In "The Gensifer Clan", Maturin explains to Azynov and Yōd the importance of space pirates in Alastor Cluster and their role in collecting useful telepaths and taking them to the planet Yrinna.

Figure 7. Updated by Whisk.
"The Gensifer Clan" was completed in a blog post called "Notteng of Ottengla" in which Azynov and Yōd learn that robots from Triskelion have long been protecting the telepathic humans who live on Ottengla. The telepathic natives of Ottengla, the Plesypy, are highly intelligent, but they hide that fact from the starmenters such as Captain Tirret. Maturin demonstrates that she has complete and precise control over the Asimov Reality Simulator, resetting it after having demonstrated for Azynov and Yōd the true state of affairs on Ottengla.

The telepathic humans on Ottengla are blind and they use part of their brain that is normally for vision to aid their telepathic ability. Azynov and Yōd are sent to the planet Zeck where they learn about Glisten, a woman with interesting telepathic abilities who grew up without spoken language. "Notteng of Ottengla " is actually a prequel story to "The Power of Pause" that was written in 2019.

Mary and Artep (image source).

"The Synpaz of Seelie" is a science fiction story about Artep, the replicoid of Petra at Observer Base. Artep is a synpaz, about one tenth the size of a normal human being and "The Synpaz of Seelie" introduces the Seelie community of Eternity. Mary Godwin is living with "the other" Asimov at the Writers Block and she is trying to devise a scientific theory that can account for the many types of known hierions. The other Asimov is still working to send stories about aliens from the Writers Block to Earthlings such as Petra Nicholls.

The Seelie community is home of the sy'Paz, hermaphroditic human-alien hybrids who live in a special subdomain of Observer Base that is linked to the Writers Block. Both the sy'Paz and Synpaz replicoids such as as Artep have the ability to fly because their bodies caontain special negative mass hierions.

Grean's Hack
Grean's Hack of the Asimov Reality Simulator. Grean the Kac'hin plays a major role in "The Synpaz of Seelie". Grean is preparing for the Final Reality, where the only form of telepathy will be technology-assisted telepathy made possible by the Bimanoid Interface.

A major problem confronting Grean is that R. Nyrtia has placed a lock on the Eternity Asimov Reality Simulator. Other Realities such as the Foundation Reality are accessible by the Reality Simulation System, but not the Asimov Reality, where R. Nyrtia had access to the expertise of the Phari in hierion physics. In "A Missing Hierion", Grean says, "Mary found the negative mass hierion. I have a second team at work, building on that discovery. That effort might soon give us the computational power that we need to hack R. Nyrtia's lock."

The concluding section of "The Synpaz of Seelie" is in a September 3, 2020 blog post titled "Mission in Time". Grean sends her sy'Paz operatives back in time to 1860 to provide a key mathematical idea that will eventually make possible use of the Asimov Reality Simulator. Grean's Hack ended up being a 96,000 word long novel with five major sub-sections.

Grean's Hack is best viewed as fan-fiction since it includes fictional elements (such as the planet Terminus) that I borrow from Asimov's Foundation Fictional UniverseGrean's Hack ended up being a fun story that accounts for the widespread presence of "little people" in Earth's ancient cultures. It is also a depiction of events in 1973 leading up the the Reality Change that ended the Ekcolir Reality and brought into existence the Final Reality.

The fifth and final section of Grean's Hack is called "Final Change". At the end of the story, there is an account of exactly which residents of Observer Base were allowed to continue to exist in the Final Reality. The image that is shown to the left hints at the fact that some of the nanoscopic replicoids from the Ekcolir Reality are among the few residents of Observer Base and its linked hierion domain subsections who are shifted into the Final Reality. Several "endtime Hierion Field generators" must be installed at Observer Base to allow a select group of the residents to pass into the Final Reality. That select group includes a few nano-scale replicoids who work as part of the Writers Block team.

The other Asimov is pushed into the Final Reality and right at the end of Grean's Hack, he is told that he is being sent off to visit Tar'tron in the Galactic Core. Later he will return to Earth and enter the Asimov Reality Simulation with Yōd.

September 20, 2020. Close on the heels of the Grean's Hack novel was a new science fiction story called "Hierion Writers Club". The Nanorealm was originally designed as a way to develop the type of telepathic group mind that might successfully defend the galaxy against the Huaoshy. The second part of "Hierion Writers Club" did not arrive until December 2020 (see below).

Grean Fiction. In a blog post dated November 12, 2020 and called "Green Fiction", I began another new science fiction story called "Grean Fiction", which became a 35,000 word novella. The "Green Fiction" blog post starts with an image of Greenland in the future of the Ekcolir Reality, after all of Earth's ice caps have melted. In the future of the Ekcolir Reality, humans were given access to Fru'wu teleportation technology.

Grean and Delpha the selfie (source).
After the arrival of the Final Reality. "Grean Fiction" depicts on-going events inside the Ekcolir Reality at a time after the Final Reality has already begun and a "copy" of Grean named Delpha is at Observer Base and trying to guide events at the Writers Block.

The second part of "Grean Fiction" appeared in a blog post that was dated November 18, 2020 and called "The Gift of Teleportation". The story, set in a time when the Greenland icecap is rapidly melting, depicts a rushed archeological expedition to find alien artifacts that have been hidden under Greenland ice for millions of years.

In "Grean Fiction" it is suggested that the Fru'wu were on Earth millions of years ago and they carried out primate breeding experiments.

the Belerephon at Altair IV
Clues found at an archeological site in Greenland suggest that biological samples from Earth were sent to planet Altair IV. "Warp drive" had been invented on Earth and soon an interstellar spaceship is sent to Altair IV.

Tequid and Alphin

In the November 20, 2020 blog post called "Ocean World", the Belerephon arrives at Altair IV and a young girl named Tara has the ability to make telepathic contact to the Tequids, aquatic primate variants who have been artificially evolved and adapted to the ocean of Altair IV. At an undersea base, there is a long-range teleportation device that can send people to other planets that were known to the Fru'wu civilization that existed millions of years in the past.

The November 25, 2020 blog post called "River of Time" has the 4th part of the science fiction story "Grean Fiction". Tara returns to Earth and begins to learn about the tryp'At, who had long been acting as Interventionists on Earth. One of the tasks for the tryp'At is helping to prevent humans from gaining access to teleportation technology which could be used to make duplicated of humans and lead to disruption of human society.

The final part of  "Grean Fiction" was in a blog post dated November 28, 2020 and titled "The Replicoids of Talya". Tara is concerned that she is part of an engineered time loop by which her existence depends on sending information about the Fru'wu base on Altair IV back to science fiction story tellers of the 20th century. Tara is taken into the Hierion Domain and she meets Delpha the Kac'hin.

Tara's home at Talya. (image source)
Tara learns that she had been guided through her life by Ara, a nanoscopic replicoid that was integrated with her zeptite endosymbiont. In 2025 I began using the term "femtozoan" for such nanoscopic personalities.

Arriving in the Hierion Domain, Tara learns that rather than dying on Altair IV, her family was teleported to a community in the Hierion Domain called Talya. Tara learns that she has a fine home and even her childhood Tequid friend, Patty is there living in the lake beside Talya. Delpha has completed the Tara time loop and now Tara can live out the rest of her life at Talya.

Châtella the probot at the Writers Block (source).
Kac'hin Conversion. In December of 2020, I continued my science fiction story "Hierion Writers Club". When Grean takes control of Eternity, she extracts the replicoid of Mary Godwin (known as Yira) from Nanoville (itself a project of Nyrtia) and Yira helps create the Writers Block.

In Part 4 of "Hierion Writers Club", Grean reveals that she has made a duplicate copy of Wendy the probot who is on Earth as Fengtol, bait that might help Grean find Nyrtia's secret base of operations.

"The Galaxiad"
The other copy of Wendy is now inside a full-sized probot body and helping staff the new Writers Block with probot assistants such as "Châtella".

Eventually, a copy of Isaac Asimov is installed as the new Director of the Writers Block, at a time after "Yira" had returned to using the name Mary.

Having depicted the immediate aftermath of Grean's arrival in Eternity, right near the end of 2020, I wrote "The Galaxiad", a new story set in the Foundation Reality just before Grean took control of Eternity. I generally hate fictional accounts of politics, but "The Galaxiad" features a political struggle between the Social Unity Party and the Individual Freedom Party for control over the fate of the galaxy. This is at the time when the positronic robots of Earth are trying to form Galaxia as a galaxy-wide telepathic group mind.

sedroids vs probots
In Part 2 of "The Galaxiad", Many Sails the bumpha is first seen in the guise of a reporter named Ambra Hetzey. Ambra explains that she deployed artificial life-forms called sedroids in the galaxy to slow the development of Galaxia until Grean was ready to take control of Eternity. During the formation of Galaxia, R. Nyrtia had deployed probots, advanced positronic robots who were resistant to to the kind of "mind static" devices that Isaac Asimov included in his Foundation stories.

Also in "The Galaxiad" is Vyky Dey, a human variant called a Werefe, that can use modified hairs to efficiently detect electromagnetic signals emanating from human brains. The Werefe have also developed a method for direct linkage of two nervous systems that is similar to what I would later call synapex linkages.

Ebernal
Right at the end of 2020 was Part 1 of "The Olivine Intervention", a follow on story to "The Power of Pause". Arriving on Yerophet, Glisten can telepathically link to the Kerub who are are Phet-Plesypy-Human hybrids. Long in the past there were two telepathic creatures on Yerophet, the Yer and the Phet. The Yer remain as part of the interstellar Phari-network, but the Phet are long extinct. However, their telepathic gene patterns were mixed with those of Plesypy-Human hybrid telepaths from Ottengla.

In Part 2 of "The Olivine Intervention", Yōd tells Glisten that she is half Neanderthal and that Neanderthal genes have been spread through Alastor Cluster. For the Exode Saga, I imagine that the Neanderthals had a type of weak telastid-mediated telepathy. However, Alastor Cluster was used as a laboratory for making a fully telepathic human variant.
