Tyhry Watson

Figure 1. Tihri in human form.
Tyhry Watson is a character who often appears in my science fiction stories that  are set in the Exodemic Fictional Universe. Below on this webpage is an account of how the Tyhry character has evolved through time.

Tihri. Back in 2015 (see the blog post titled "Grean"), I began making some blog pages that were about specific characters and plot devices that I commonly deploy in my stories. Tyhry is unusual in that her name has evolved through the years. Back in 2019, the name originated as 'Tihri", which is Irhit, backwards.

When 'Tihri' eventually reached the point in her life when she realized that she is not a conventional human and is actually tryp'At, she changed her name to Tyhry. As late as March 2022 I was still using the name 'Tihri', but starting in April, I was using 'Tyhry'.

Watson. In 2025, for stories such as "Battlefield Lipid", I started allowing Eddy and Tyhry to make use of the last name 'Watson'.

Figure 2. Tyhry the tryp'At.
Back in 2014 I began using the term "Tryp'At" to refer to a type of human variant. Eventually, I decided that both Tyhry's father, Eddy and Tyhry are tryp'At. As shown in Figure 1, Tyhry grew up under the influence of developmental control nanites and she believed that she was genetically a conventional human. However, as a tryp'At, Tyhry's true genetically-specified biological form is more like what is shown in Figure 2. Not shown in Figure 2 are other tryp'At features like the long pointed ears. When Tyhry first began experimenting with the recovery of her tryp'At physical features, she routinely hid the pointed tips of her ears under her hair.

Tyhry's birth mother is Zeta Gohrlay, who entered into the stories of the Exodemic Fictional Universe starting in 2016.  I usually depict Zeta as being half Neanderthal and I have never given a precise explanation for the fact that Tyhry is Tryp'At or the source of all of her chromosomes.

When using AI-generated images to make depictions of the pointed ears of Tyhry, there is a continual struggle between me and what I feel is a reasonable length for a primate ear and what the artificial intelligences want to generate. The image that is shown to the right in Figure 3 is typical of what the AIs want to generate. Long ears like that would be hard to hide under Tyhry's hair.

I imagine that when Tyhry was young, Manny trained Tyhry to program femtobots by allowing Tyhry to learn how to use hair and clothing nanites. Tyhry's skill with hair and clothing nanites made it possible for Tyhry to begin transitioning her body from its conventional human form to its tryp'At form: she could still hide her tryp'At features.

Manny the bumpha. Tyhry was created and grew up on Earth as a secret agent in training for Manny. Possible reasons for Tyhry's existence and her special training as a bumpha Interventionist agent have been explored in stories such as  "191988", "Downgrade", "The Sims" and "Plūribus ē Spatium".

Updated version with "Tyhry".
The Mind Clones. As a tryp'At, Tyhry grew up learning how to use her telepathic abilities. In 2019, I developed the idea that Tyhry was part of a Mind Clone Network. Thus, Tyhry grew up not having to learn the telepathic mind pattern of Roxzel.

Telepathy. Writing stories about Tyhry has provided me with opportunities to explore the challenge of providing humans with telepathic abilities. In a few stories featuring Tyhry, there is also consideration of the possibility that a person with telepathic abilities could use telekinesis (see "The Mystery of the Missing Motor Neurons" and, Figure 4, below).

The Last Mind Clones; a pair
of twins who function as part
of the MC4 subnet along with
the children of Alexina
and Amiante at Observer Base.
For example, Roxzel was born inside the Asimov Reality Simulation, but Tyhry and Roxzel could telepathically communicate even when Tyhry was in the Final Reality. As discussed in a 2019 blog post, I imagine that the mind clones Tyhry, Roxzel, Marda, Dysyn, Alexina and Amiante are all tryp'At. The tryp'At are a human variant that was designed by the bumpha to efficiently use technology-assisted telepathy.

Dimensional Structure of the Universe. As explained in the 2019 blog post titled "Lakum", the tryp'At were crafted by making use of Asterothrope and Preland gene combinations. Before the Final Reality, the physical laws of the universe allowed for the existence of a fundamental particles called the twitino. When they altered the Dimensional Structure of the Universe while ending the Time Travel War, the Huaoshy also put an end to the use of twitino-mediated telepathy.

Figure 4. And telekinesis, too.
While the tryp'At use a different type of telepathy that depends on having a zeptite endosymbiont, some of the Asterothrope and Preland gene combinations make for a human brain structure that facilitates any type of telepathy by helping keep distinct a person's own thought and the thoughts of other people who they telepathically communicate with.

Marda. Marda was born at just about the same time as Tyhry. As the daughter of Rylla, Marda grew up in Australia, but during frequent family visits, Tyhry and Marda became close friends and developed the ability to communicate telepathically. Many of my science fiction stories that feature Tyhry also include Marda (for example, see Part 2 of "The Cythyrya Investigation").

Anthony. Also appearing as a character in "The Cythyrya Investigation" was Anthony. Anthony first appeared in my story "The Prisoner of L2" as a secret agent working for Nyrtia. Originally, I depicted Anthony as a probot, an advanced positronic robot, operating out of Nyrtia's secret base inside the Hierion Domain. In other more recent stories, I sometimes depict Anthony and Nyrtia as operating out Observer Base. For many of my stories I depict Anthony as taking up residence inside Casanay, the home of the Watson family.

It is the telepathic Tyhry who first realizes that in the Final Reality, Nyrtia has stationed Anthony inside Casanay (see Part 5 of my science fiction story called "The Frenchyhysur Process"). Anthony is an artificial life-form created by the Nyrturians, a replicoid copy of a positronic robot.

Reality Simulation System. A typical story featuring Tyhry (if there is a 'typical story') involves Tyhry's use of the Reality Simulation System (for example, see The Hua Nanites). Most often, Tyhry is making use of a Simulation of the Ekcolir Reality where she has a nanotechnology research laboratory.   The Hua Nanites is unusual in that Tyhry visits the First Reality and meets the Hua, the biological humanoid species of the planet Sermyth (in a distant galaxy) that gave rise to the Huaoshy.

Pet Cats. There are always a large number of cats in residence at Casanay. It various times in her life, Tyhry has special cat encounters including: 1) the discovery of a Grendel femtozoan inside her pet cat Trib, 2) meeting Manny the bumpha while Manny is disguised as a cat, and 3) meeting aliens who have cat-like physical features (see the Felydyans).

Resort on Threy. A scene from "The Nanite Smuggler".

One of the longest stories featuring Tyhry is "The Nanite Smuggler" (about 61,000 words), a story set at the time when Tyhry and Marda graduate from college and request a family vacation in the planet Threy, inside the Asimov Reality Simulation. Tyhry wants to obtain advanced programmable femtobots from the Yastyn, a technologically advanced species that is native to Threy.

Systolina. "The Nanite Smuggler" includes a positronic robot from Threy who is named Systolina. Systolina is also a character in my story "Vythoth the Chresmoscopist". Tyhry and Systolina become friends and so when Systolina has trouble with Nymerya Coryn, Tyhry feels that she must help Systolina. Eventually, Tyhry "imprisons" Nymerya inside a forked Simulation of the Ekcolir Reality where Nymerya can safely indulge his religious fanaticism.

The tryp'At phenotype.
The tryp'At phenotype. As a tryp'At, Tyhry has the H chromosome, which is important for both human telepathy and providing human variants like the tryp'At with a hermaphroditic phenotype. Perhaps the mist detailed description of the H chromosome is given in Part 8 of my science fiction story "Telepaths of Site Q". Tryp'At hermaphrodites, in addition to having a second row of breasts (see Figure 2, above) and pointed ears (see Figure 3, above) also have a penis (see Figure 5) and a back vagina (the allzaurish). The tryp'At penis is designed to to be continually erect and it can be hidden from view inside its abdominal sheath or deployed externally.

a tryp'At hermaphrodite
Allzaurish. The tryp'At were created as a genetically engineered human variant that was expected to live in a society where programmed femtobot conveniences such as feeding nanites were available. The tryp'At phenotype includes a crop and no intestines. In visibly small feeding nanites bring nutrient molecules to the tryp'At crop. With no intestines, the tryp'At phenotype includes a second vagina with its opening  about here a human anus is normally located.

As described in my science fiction story titled "Plūribus ē Spatium", the tryp'At of planet Tiz are colonial organisms. Synlyque was the time when three sub-organisms, accessory brains, colonize the main tryp'At body, greatly amplifying the person's telepathic capacity, allowing for the efficient formation of synapex links to other individuals. In a more "primitive" tryp'At  such as Tyhry, synapex linkages require the use of special programmable femtobots.

Clones of Tyhry. The tryp'At were created in the far future of the Asimov Reality. Tyhry is a clone of a tryp'At who existed in the Asimov Reality. That original genetic  version of is called "X" and so Tyhry is one of the "X clones". I got serious about other clones of Tyhry when I was developing ideas for a new story titled "City on the Edge of Tomorrow". In addition to clones of Tyhry in the Ekcolir Reality, in my science fiction story called "191988", Tyhry herself gives birth to two twins who are her clones.

Similarly, Marda originated from an unknown tryp'At of the Asimov Reality referred to as "A", so Marda is an "A clone".

Next: plans for Chapter 5 of "Plūribus ē Spatium".
