Later, I depicted Many Sails as having been the alien spaceship that saved the life of Gohrlay in the First Reality and took her away from Earth to the Galactic Core. At that time, Many Sails committed a major violation of the Rules of Intervention by providing the first human scientists with a detailed scan of Gohrlay's brain.
Gohrlay's Brain |
For eons, R. Gohrlay believed that Gohrlay died by volunteering to go through the process of destructive brain scanning. R. Gohrlay blamed the pek for Gohrlay's death, establishing an animosity towards the pek and the Huaoshy that was very hard to get over. However, eventually R. Gohrlay realized that it was possible for the Huaoshy to "bring back" Gohrlay, and at the end of the Exode Saga, Alpha Gohrlay and R. Gohrlay are merged into a new artificial lifeform, a new Gohrlay in a zeptite-based body provided by Many Sails.
The Hierion Heresy
Many Sails took on the role of an Interventionist long before bringing Gohrlay into existence. Over two billion years ago, when the pek first arrived in our galaxy, they found an existing civilization. The Phari had developed advanced hierion-based technology that gave them the means to link together thousands of planets in a vast interstellar network.
The Phari themselves had long since migrated into the Hierion Domain and existed there as artificial lifeforms. However, they maintained connections to hadronic lifeforms via one of their great inventions, the Bimanoid Interface.

After much effort, R. Gohrlay eventually crafted the Asterothropes as a human variant that could efficiently use the Bimanoid Interface for two-way communications. Doing so required the use of a Phari Endosymbiont that could act as an adapter between the Asterothrope brain and the zeptite endosymbiont that had co-evolved inside humans as part of their body.
our Reality Chain |
It was a trivial matter for R. Gohrlay to move on, continuing her role in the Time Travel War by operating out of a new base in the Hierion Domain that was not linked to Earth. Even after the Trysta-Grean Pact went into effect, R. Gohrlay still did not trust the Huaoshy.

However, there were some "bugs" in the design of the tryp'At. In particular, it was found that Irhit could prevent the Editor from using the Bimanoid Interface. R. Gohrlay had insisted that the people of Earth be informed about how aliens had long shaped the history of Earth. Irhit and the tryp'At Overseers were interfering with the work of the Editor and threatening to derail the Pact.
