Water nymph by DALL-E. |
That water fall is pretty nice, but not what I had in mind when I was imagining a spring.
Boots? Why Boots? |
Bare feet make more sense. |
I was able to force Mr. Wombo to create some images that were similar the one with boots that is shown to the left, but with her having taken off the boots (see the image to the right). This makes more sense for this scene, even if it might disappoint Mr. Wombo to have to deal with the intricacies of human feet and toes.
Mr. Wombo would alternate between having this human figure sometimes look into the camera or, alternatively, look off to the side away from the camera. What is she looking at?
G1. A river Grendel. Who needs feet? |
I added a second humanoid figure to this river scene, what I imagine to be a Grendel. There were two significantly different ways that Mr. Wombo tried to insert a Grendel into this scene using the same reference image. The first version, with the Grendel partially submerged, is shown in the image to the left.
G2. Another river Grendel. |
The second way that Mr. Wombo found to include a Grendel in this scene is shown in the image to the right; here the Grendel seems to be walking on water. I imagine that Grendels evolved on a "water world" and prefer to be in aquatic environments while while acting as Interventionist agents either on the planet Tar'tron or on Earth.
For the image to the right, I'm not sure what she is holding in her hands. Maybe the Grendel is sharing some advanced technology such as a vial of hair nanites.
An alien with four arms. |
hairy arms |
For this sort of unusual anatomy (people with four arms, see Figure 16),
sometimes Mr. Wombo can't decide if it should generate arms or hair
(compare the image shown to the right to the image above). In the image
shown to the right, her top two hands were transformed into hair by Mr.
Wombo.
Synym cross-country running. |
I've previously described the challenges of trying to force Mr. Wombo into showing human figures who are doing something interesting. Mr. Wombo prefers to show women standing around like statues.
In my imagination, while living on
Tar'tron, Synym is quite physically active. At school, she spends much
of her time playing sports and engaged in activities such as running
(see the image to the left). I'm quite satisfied with the hilly terrain
and running trail that Mr. Wombo devised.
Interesting activities of the young and horny.
Figure 7. "Try it, you'll like it. It sucks!" |
As described in Part 4 of the Mosy Saga, eventually Synym and Thylon establish a good working relationship with Qyp the Ek'col. During his life on Tar'tron, Qyp is able to learn the mind patterns of Synym and Thylon. When a clone of Qyp (Zule) is on Earth, he can draw upon that previous familiarity with their mind patterns.
Thylon (right) and her daughter. |
While living on Tar'tron, both Synym and Thylon have children who are fathered by Qyp.
Figure 8. Thylon's cloned daughter. |
Figure 8 is a depiction of another one of Thylon's children on Tar'tron. The available reproductive technology can also be used to allow residents of Tar'tron to practice reproductive cloning.
The Clones of Tar'tron. The somatic cells of individuals could be transformed in gametes (either sperm or eggs) and combined in vitro. This allowed Thylon to have a child who was essentially a clone of herself.
A thoughtful gift. "Show me how it works." |
The scene to the left originally had only two human figures, but Mr. Wombo added the mother to the left side of the image. Maybe Mr. Wombo thought that the two daughters needed some adult supervision.
Too old for dolls. |
Figure 9. The next generation. |
Cover Images. I like to imagine the planet Tar'tron as being a convenient place to train Interventionist agents in the Ekcolir Reality. The trainers (such as Caz) have very sophisticated technology available to them, but when training agents for missions on Earth, their exposure to technologies such as nanites must be limited and carefully constrained.
Thylon and Synym on Tar'tron. |
For the image to the right I used this text prompt: "high resolution movie still of Megan Fox and Elle Macpherson in the science fiction film “Future Science”, Megan Fox is twenty five years old, Elle Macpherson is blond, Megan Fox and Elle Macpherson are very tall and slim, dressed Victoria's Secret style in silk, Megan Fox is holding her arms out, futuristic laser physics laboratory in the background".
Mr.
Wombo has quite definite opinions about how to create an image for a
science fiction book cover. Is that supposed to be a depiction of a
rocket launch? I have no idea. Sadly, none of the imaginary book covers
shown in this blog post is really what I'm looking for to illustrate the
Mosy Saga.
Synym the tutor. |
Thylon, Synym and a viewer. |
"I can't wait any longer..." |
Waiting for Synym |
In my imagination, residents of Tar'tron during the
Ekcolir Reality such as Synym and Thylon were able to make trips into
outer space, including visits to low-gravity resorts in orbit around
Tar'tron. We'll leave the microgravity sexplay of Synym and Thylon to
the imagination.
Synym and Thylon. |
It is a new toy day. "Let's try this one first..." |
Here is one more image depicting the tendency for Synym and Thylon to experiment during their school years (image to the right). Poor Mr. Wombo had serious trouble trying to make that planet have a circular profile. But maybe it is not actually a natural moon or planet. Maybe it is an artificial construct in orbit around Tar'tron. It would be great if these AI-image generators could explain themselves.
Having taken readers off to the planet Tar'tron for Part 4 of the Mosy Saga, I'll resist the temptation to have additional chapters about the consequences of having trained Synym and Thylon on that world in advance of their Interventionist mission to Earth.
The apes of Tar'tron. |
However,
the cover image shown to the left reveals the fact that part of
Thylon's training on Tar'tron involved work with non-human animals. Caz
was involved with a human devolution project, an attempt to devise a
human variant that could live "in the wild" without need for cities and
without putting much stress on the natural environment of a planet.
On Earth, Thylon's clone, Tara, was to have a major role in trying to instill a culture of nature conservancy among the technologically developing people of ancient Anatolia. Also, on Earth Tara needed to have no resistance to the idea of having a sexual relationship with a non-human animal (horses, in that case).
As part of the devolution project, many human-ape hybrids and non-human ape variants were constructed by genetic engineering on Tar'tron. While still in school, Thylon became involved with a study of the many ape species of Tar'tron.
Thylon and friends. |
Thylon's daughter, Plymek. |
Thylon's daughter, Plymek became a trained
physician and, like Thylon, provided health care to the apes of Tar'tron
who lived "in the wild". Plymek and her sisters also used their
telepathic abilities to help transfer knowledge and technology to the
jungle-dwelling apes of Tar'tron. One of the more popular
technology-sharing projects involved sex toys.
Ape fertility studies. |
Plymek and her sisters initiated a project aimed at amplifying the genetic diversity of the apes of Tar'tron with the goal of endowing the apes with a capacity to use human language. Since Caz did not allow the descendants of Thylon to have access to genetic engineering technology, the genetic modifications achieved by Plymek and her family were all accomplished the old fashioned way, often by collecting gametes in the wild and selecting for desirable ape-human hybrid embryos in the laboratory.
Technologically advanced apes. |
Human-ape hybrid. |
Mr. Wombo had a very hard time creating images of human-ape hybrids. The AI algorithm could either generate images of human children or small non-humans, but nothing that actually looked like a hybrid. For the image shown to the right, the baby's head was taken from on AI-generated image and pasted onto the body of a second image.
Synym - unable to notice a Grendel |
Mysteries of Tar'tron. Also in the wilds of Tar'tron was a population of Grendels who worked with Caz on the human devolution project. Most humans who went into the wild-lands never became aware of the Grendels. However, because of her telepathic abilities, Thylon eventually learned to notice when a Grendel was nearby. However, the Grendels were tricksters and seldom presented their true physical form to humans.
The image to the left shows a river Grendel who is using a physical form that is significantly smaller than what is shown in figures G1 and G2, above, towards the beginning of this blog post.
While generating these river scenes, it sometimes felt as if Mr. Wombo seeks out ways to avoid having to include hands and feet in the AI-generated images, which is a good strategy considering how bad Mr. Wombo is at depicting realistic limbs.
Thylon in telepathic contact with a Grendel. |
While Thylon and her descendants worked on the human devolution project, they were constantly aided and protected by the Grendels. Thylon's interactions with Grendels on Tar'tron was useful training in advance of her mission to Earth where she also had contacts with the Grendels of Earth.
The main
base and teleportation terminal of the Grendels on Earth was in the
Black Sea near the site of the ancient city of Phasi, but they also operated out of the Euphrates river (then known
as the Yph, see map) in Norsum during the time when Thylon's clone, Tara, was living in Norsun. When the Buld Reality was being crafted, there were no Overseers watching over Earth, so the Grendels could be quite active in helping Tara with her problems.
Alien artifact. |
The image to the left shows a scene generated by Mr. Wombo for the text prompt: "high resolution movie still of Katrine De Candole and Meg Ryan in the science fiction film "Alien Artifact", dressed Victoria's Secret style, Katrine De Candole is kneeling beside an alien artifact, Meg Ryan is blond, a glowing alien artifact. Meg Ryan is standing behind the alien artifact, stars and moon in the night sky background". This could be a scene on a close-to-habitable planet close to Tar'tron where the surface is littered with alien artifacts.
Figure 10. Synym and one of her daughters during a play date with a friend. |
Mysteries of Mr. Wombo. I'll end this blog post with Figure 10 (image to the right). One of the mysteries of Mr. Wombo is how the different "styles" have quite different abilities to generate images of people at various ages. Some of the Wombo Dream styles are much more able to alter the apparent age of a human figure upon request. It can take a lot of trial and error experimentation to find a way to get Mr. Wombo to generate an image that depicts a person at the desired age.
By my count there are now well over 110 image-generating "styles"
available for Wombo Dream. I have to wonder, when will this
proliferation of "styles" end? Most of them cannot generate a sensible
human figure and I ignore them. For generating human figures, I'm
currently getting the most mileage out of "Dreamland v2", "Dreamland v3"
and "Nightly v2".
