Network Analysis

Three types of Mind Clones
Rylla, Nora and my son have returned to Australia, allowing conditions to return to 'normal' for Zeta and I. However, with the recent departure of Tricia/Maria and Izhiun from Earth, the Mind Clone Network is now fully active and so 'normal' might not be the best word.

I believe that I now understand the extent and purpose of the Mind Clone Network, although a few smaller mysteries remain.

Who Dunnit
One of the remaining mysteries is the issue of who designed and deployed the Mind Clone Network. Zeta suggests that it "just happened", with contributions from R. Gohrlay's tribe of positronic robots and Many Sails.

Trysta-Grean Pact
Zeta and I both agree that the Mind Clone Network seems to be consistent with the terms of the Trysta-Grean Pact; specifically, it seems that no alien interlopers remain on Earth, yet it should now be possible for Earthlings to become aware of the role that aliens played in human history.

Segmentation Analysis
I suspect that there are three types of Mind Clones that I'll call type 1, type 2 and type 3.

My best guess is that Rylla, Georgy and Stacy all gave birth to type 1 Mind Clones. Sadly, not much is known about Stacy, but Zeta suspects there is a reason why she was the first to give birth to her Mind Clone. I had originally imagined that Georgy might play a special role in providing access to the archives of the Writers Block. However, Georgy has never embraced that role.

Zeta suggests that Georgy and Stacy are not well-equipped for the task of accessing the archives of the Writers Block. Zeta believes that Stacy's son may be the specific tool that was crafted so as to efficiently search the Archives. I was surprised to learn that among the six mind clones, Stacy's is male.

Apparently the best "index" for the archives of the Writers Block is actually another virtual reality simulator, similar to the AR Simulator. According to Rylla, Stacy is now training her son in preparation for him to use the WB Simulator.

Type 2
Zeta believes that she and Yōd gave birth to genetically identical daughters that I'll call the type 2 Mind Clones. They are apparently close to being a 'normal' genetic mixture of Gohrlay's and my genes, with some special genetic modification that was designed to make it possible for Yōd to telepathically send me reports from inside the AR Simulator.

Yōd
I am a weak link in the telepathic network. Because I carry a set of infites that I received from Yōd, I am able to receive her telepathic signals, but I have almost no ability to transmit to Yōd using telepathy. However, Zeta can transmit to Yōd, so there is the opportunity for two-way communication. Zeta cannot receive significant amounts of telepathically transmitted data from Yōd because of the damage ("burn-in") that was inflicted upon her endosymbiont by Irhit.

Type 3
When Rylla and Nora returned to Australia, we quickly learned that the telepathic signals of the Mind Clone Network are distance-restricted. However, I am comfortable with Rylla having the responsibility to write accounts of new information that emerges from Observer Base. A remaining mystery is the role that Nora and her Mind Clone might play.

I can't stop myself from imagining that my son might now be allowed to repeat the discovery of negative mass hierions that was originally made by Georgy while she was working in my son's laboratory. However, while both Rylla and Nora have recovered memories of how the original discovery occurred, my son has not been able to shatter the memory block that was imposed on him by Maria Green. Zeta suggests that the time might not be right for humans to learn about hierions.

The Next Generation
Zeta suggests that after the six Mind Clones grow up, then it might finally be possible for humans to begin learning about hierions. However, Zeta suggests that a human science of hierion physics will develop slowly, and it is possible that Observer Base will become a kind of laboratory for hierion physics. Zeta claims to not be an expert in physics, but she is certain that there are real dangers that arise when humanoid cultures begin using hierions (see the Extinction Curve).

source
Zeta suspects that Observer Base was where human science began, back in the First Reality. Here in the Final Reality, it may be that Observer Base is the only place where hierion physics can be safely explored. Zeta has also suggested that this is why Stacy gave birth to a son. She imagines that it will be the grandchildren of Georgy and Stacy who will launch a human science of hierion physics.

Viewing the Future
I sometimes wonder if it was possible for Trysta or Grean to View future events such as the establishment of the Mind Clone Network. The other possibility is that since the Dimensional Structure of the universe was changed, making further time travel impossible, the course of events on Earth may have diverged from earlier Viewed Realities. If the replicoid system of Earth has been destroyed, there might not be any remaining Temporal Momentum, and no significant chance that future events on Earth can be known and anticipated.

from the Dead Widower Society
During the last several months of Nora's pregnancy,  I imagined that there may have been one more type 3 Mind Clone. It seemed possible that a member of the Retrofuturians or the Dead Widower Society might have also given birth to a type 3 Mind Clone, allowing for a telepathic link between Nora and the Buld Spaceship.

However, the idea that some Retrofuturians and Dead Widower Society members departed from Earth aboard the Buld Spaceship has never been confirmed. And perhaps more importantly, how could such an emigrant from Earth give birth to a Mind Clone that is genetically identical to Nora's daughter? I worry that Nora might have alien communications technology that allowed her to call the Buld Spaceship back to Earth. If so, she might be a threat to violate the terms of the Trysta-Grean Pact.
