Tyhry and the Sedron Time Stream
|
Reality Change. Ten years ago I had a blog post called "
The Religion of Exode" in which I explored the idea that religion might be a convenient tool by which the
pek can control the behavior of primitive creature such as humans. Here in 2023, I began a new science fiction story called "
The Mosy Saga" which I intended to be a kind of time travel story involving the historical origin of the biblical character
Moses.
The question that is investigated in "The Mosy Saga" is: what if Moses became a well-known religious figure as a kind of historical accident arising from some rather heavy-handed Interventionist activity on Earth that brought into existence the Buld Reality (the historical timeline of Earth as we know it)? And if so, why would we only now be able to become aware of this interest fact? Maybe Tyhry can access the Sedron Time Stream and use that a source of information about the Secret History of Humanity.

Figure 1. The 2023 edition.
|
The imaginary book cover shown at the top of this blog post is a whimsical depiction of Tyhry entering into the Sedron Time Stream. It is a struggle to visually depict science fiction plot elements that are essentially invisible. The Sedron Time Stream is not a place that you can physically visit and enter into. The Sedron Time Stream is in a part of the universe that I call the
Sedron Domain. Special fundamental particles called
sedrons can reside in the Sedron Domain, but not hadrons and the type of matter that make up the bodies of humans.
In a very real sense, the origin of "The Mosy Saga" goes back about 50 years to the time when I read "Chariots of the Gods?" by Erich von Däniken. Sadly, we have no physical evidence that alien visitors from another planet have ever visited Earth and even when I was ten years old I could only view "ancient astronaut" speculations as being science fiction.
However, purely for the fun of science fiction story telling, it is an intellectual challenge to imagine how visitors from outer space might have interacted with our ancestors on this planet, and done so without leaving behind any physical evidence of their presence. And if there is no material record of "ancient aliens" then how might we become aware that Earth had long ago been visited by extraterrestrials?
In 2022, I became very much concerned with the Sedron Time Stream, a science fiction plot element that allows some people to have a vynculochronyc sense: they can perceive information from either the past or the future. This is almost like time travel, but no conventional matter is moved through time. Sedrons can move along the time axis and carry information into the past or the future. This is particularly useful in the Final Reality, when physical time travel by humans is no longer possible.

Figure 2. Tyhry's vision of Kaylyn.
|
I previously began exploring the
vynculochronyc sense in a story called "
The Cythyrya Investigation". However, some characters in "The Mosy Saga" can also make use of the Sedron Time Stream. I imagine that stories in the Bible concerning "prophets" who can have visions of the future were inspired by people who could make use of the
vynculochronyc sense. For the
Exode Saga in general, Earthlings with special abilities such as telepathy and a functioning
vynculochronyc sense can be accounted for by having inherited special gene patterns that were provided to Earth's human population from human variants that were developed on other planets, either in Alastor Cluster (see
Jack Vance) or the
Galactic Core.
Illustrating science fiction stories. While developing my thinking about the role of religion in "The Mosy Saga" (see this blog post), I have also been thinking about the problem of how to illustrate the story.
|
Bigfoot. |
The images in this blog post were made with the help of
DALL-E 3 (occasionally) and
Wombo Dream (mostly).
Figure 1, above, was made by first using DALL-E (see
this image) and then feeding an image from DALL-E to WOMBO Dream. I may need to devise some variant of
Figure 1 as the imaginary book cover for "The Mosy Saga".
For the image shown to the right, I started with another DALL-E-generated image and modified that reference image using WOMBO Dream. A major theme in the entire Exode Saga and in "The Mosy Saga", in particular, is that alien visitors to Earth have often made human variants with interesting collection of gene patterns. I often need to illustrate human-alien hybrids, and Mr. Wombo has trouble generating useful images of half-alien creatures and humanoid robots.

Marda is constantly linked to the Sedron Time Stream.
|
One of the characters in "The Cythyrya Investigation" is Kaylyn the robot. Readers never learn who has tried to use Kaylyn the sexbot to talk Fraunz into using technology-assisted telepathy as a way to improve his golf game. When Tyrhy obtains a copy of "G-syms for Golf-world" from the Writers Block, she is amused by the illustrations which depict Kaylyn as having a similar facial appearance to Tyhry. However, both Tyhry and Kaylyn were designed so as to resemble a woman from the far future of the Asimov Reality who was a useful Interventionist agent for Manny the bumpha in that Reality.
After Tyhry becomes aware of the fact that Kaylyn once existed in a past Reality of Time, she attempts to retrieve information about Kaylyn from the Sedron Time Stream. Tyhry is able to have "visions" of Kaylyn that are made possible by her ability to access information that is in the Sedron Domain (see Figure 2, above). In some sense, "records" of all past realities are present in the Sedron Time Stream.
Because Kaylyn and Tyhry have similar mind patterns, it is possible for Tyhry to "tune" her mind to that of Kaylyn and she learns how to access information about Kaylyn that is inside the Sedron Domain.
Dethevicinelec. At the start of 2023, I wrote a science fiction story called Echo of Cynym. In that story, the Editor visited a planet in Alastor Cluster (Dethevicinelec) where the natives upset the sensibilities of the religious missionaries who were the first human visitors to Dethevicinelec (Alastor 2672 in the systematic numbering system of the Connatics). The natives of Dethevicinelec are constantly engaged in sexual behavior as an integral part of their means of communication.
|
Marda in 2041
|
As described in
Echo of Cynym, a human telepathy research center is established on Dethevicinelec where a human telepathic variant, the Chyntos can be provided with
Stateo-symbionts. This allows for great progress in refining human gene patterns that will make it possible for telepathic mind clones to eventually exist on Earth in the Final Reality and make use of the Bimanoid Interface for technology-assisted telepathy.
Brak. Eventually, the time comes when one of the mind clones of 21st century Earth (Marda) gives birth to the first Earthling (Brak) with a complete vynculochronyc sense and the ability to intentionally insert information in the Sedron Time Stream in a controlled way. Marda's links to the Sedron Time Stream are quite strong, but almost completely beyond the reach of her conscious mind. Similarly, in "The Mosy Saga", two of the major characters are Potina and Tara.
|
Tyhry in 2041
|
Potina and Tara are the Ekcolir Reality analogues of Marda and Tyhry. Potina lacks Tara's training as a Ta and cannot consciously process information from the Sedron Time Stream in the way that Tara can.
Creating a Legend. In "The Mosy Saga", the origins of Moses are traced back through time to Tara and Potina who both become the wives of Zule, the man who will eventually, in a later life, perform the dramatic deeds that will inspire the Mosy legend.
|
Mosy's vision of the future.
|
Due to her
vynculochronyc sense, Tara has some appreciation of the important role that Zule will play in the future history of Earth, but during the early chapters of "The Mosy Saga", Tara is busily learning how to link her telepathic mind to that of Zule.
Tara learns to telepathically place ideas in the mind of Zule. I suppose it is inevitable that Zule and Mosy will have "visions" that originate from what Tara knows about the future, but I don't imagine that Zule himself can consciously search the Sedron Time Stream for useful information. For some additional AI-generated images similar to the one that is shown to the left, go to the very bottom of this blog post.
I've been experimenting with ways to depict the children of Tara and Potina (see
this blog post for images of Atarte, Quel, Triq and Zevy). To get an AI-generated depiction of Potina's daughter Mym, I used a text prompt that included elements of how Jack Vance described his character
Sessily Veder. Starting with the same text prompt, DALL-E and Mr. Wombo generated the to images shown here.

Figure 4. Dreamland v3 style.
|
The image in
Figure 3 was generated by the WOMBO Dream "Dreamland v2" style. The image shown in
Figure 4 was generated by the "Dreamland v3" style. I don't know how these image-generating computer programs decide how much to zoom in on the face of a human figure.
I was amused that Mr. Wombo was convinced that Mym should be wearing a cap. In contrast, DALL-E seemingly understood that you can have a "cap of brown curls" without wearing a hat. On the plus side, Mr. Wombo seems to know the difference between curly hair and wavy hair.
|
Mym with headband.
|
In this case, I'm interested in depicting Mym as an Earthling from about four or five thousand years in our past.
For the image shown to the left, I use Figure 3 as a reference image and changed the text prompt to: "a high resolution movie still for the film "Ancient Anatolia" showing a fifteen year old girl with an impish snub-nosed face under loose brown curls, a beautiful slim body, glowing good health, totally charming, a cheerful intelligence, a fine sense of humor, a friendly affectionate disposition, dressed in leather and flax in the year 2,000 B.C.E.". Mr. Wombo was satisfied to use a headband rather than a baseball cap.

Figure 5. Bard's description
|
Photo shoot.
I'm still trying to decide on the physical appearance of some of the characters in the Mosy Saga. I asked bard to provide a description of Meg Ryan and I used Bard's description as a text prompt with WOMBO Dream: "a young woman seen at night, she has moon-kissed honey-blonde hair, worn in natural waves that frame her face, twenty years old, her eyes are a captivating shade of blue-green and sparkling, her face has a round shape with high cheekbones and a defined jawline", and I added, "dressed Victoria's Secret style in violet-colored lace, moonlit beach in the background". The image to the right (Figure 5) was generated by Mr. WOMBO with only Bard's description and no mention of any particular woman. You can decide if this AI-generated lady looks anything like Meg Ryan. Also, there is a new Festive v3 "style" for Mr. Wombo that I used to create the images shown below.

Meg Ryan by Mr. Wombo.

|
Next, I specifically asked Mr. Wombo to create images of Meg Ryan and using "
high resolution movie still showing a very young Meg Ryan dressed for a festive New Year's Eve party, Meg Ryan is twenty years old, a sleek lace dress in a rich jewel tone sapphire blue, Meg Ryan has long blond hair, Meg Ryan has wavy hair, photo-realistic, intricate detail, moonlit night beach background" and
Figure 5 as a reference image.

Margot Robbie. |

Margot Robbie closeup.
|
This year, I've been creating AI-generated images for my science fiction stories by using the names of various real world people in my text prompts. Possibly the actress that I have used most frequently in this way is
Margot Robbie.
While I was having Mr. Wombo generate images such as the one to the right, unexpectedly the image to the left was generated. Below, I'll show versions of these same two shots for Lindsay Wagner, Teri Garr, Cheryl Tiegs and Cintia Dicker.
|
Cheryl Tiegs and Cintia Dicker |
Even when asking that Cintia Dicker be shown with blond hair, Mr. Wombo gave her red hair. It is not clear why only some of the images include a necklace.

Lindsay Wagner and Teri Garr |
This photo-shoot gallery of images will help me decide on the appearance I'll use to depict my fictional characters in the Mosy Saga.
Next: 2023 in review.
