The Huxy Intervention

 Below on this blog page is my draft of a story titled "The Mary Intervention" which is meant to be an episode of an imaginary 1967 science fiction television show called "Intervention". For my previous blog post, I asked Claude to generate a draft script of such an episode. Claude generated an episode that showed Mary Black as being a tormented science fiction story writer in the 1960s, struggling to deal with self-doubts and suspicion that she was some kind of freakish "channel" for the release of her story ideas. Claude's episode includes sessions in which Mary meets with a Dr. Brenner who assures her that she is not mentally ill.

 Femtozoans. Mary Black worries about her own sanity because her brain is host for a time traveling femtozoan from the future. Mary is part of an attempt by the bumpha to make sure that when humans make First Contact with aliens called the Psilari, there is a chance for meaningful communication. I recently wrote another science fiction story with femtozoan time travel called "English Time". 

Edison's Experiments

 Time Travel. For "English Time", I imagined another similar Intervention into the course of human history in which a femtozoan was implanted inside H. G. Wells and that artificial intelligence from the future helped to guide Wells towards the writing of "The Time Machine".

 Also Add Edison. An even older story is called "Edison's Endosymbiont Experiments". What if the same Interventionist femtozoan time travel agent from the future played a role in shaping the directions of the lives of both Thomas Edison and John Black? 

 Too Simple. When introducing the idea of "Intervention" to Claude (see this blog post), I simplified everything and only mentioned the bumpha, ignoring a role for Nyrtia in the story. Thus, in Claude's episode of the television show called "Intervention", the bumpha are trying to accelerate human understanding of hierions and the Hierion Domain. 

Balok and the femtozoan time travel protocol.

 Balok and Nyrtia. However, for my version of the story, I want to place "Intervention" in the same fictional universe as "Edison's Endosymbiont Experiments", where it is Nyrtia who accelerates technological progress in the Ekcolir Reality.

 Nanotechnology. What might be the FULL story of the link between Thomas Edison and hierion physics in the Ekcolir Reailty? "Edison's Endosymbiont Experiments" was set in the time period of World War I, but Edison was married to a woman named Mary from 1871 - 1884. In "The Mary Intervention" (below on this page) I depict Mary as beginning her intervention into the course of Edison's life in 1869. 

 President Lincoln. I've previously imagined that Lincoln's life might have played out differently in another Reality (see the banner for this blog). For "The Mary Intervention", I assume that by allowing Lincoln to live past the end of his second term as president, Lincoln was able to play an important part in Nyrtia's plan to accelerate technological progress in the Ekcolir Reality.

Reality Simulation

 Reality Simulation. In "Edison's Endosymbiont Experiments", I imagined that Eddy and Rylla could meet Edison inside a Simulation of the Ekcolir Reality. I also include Rylla and the Reality Simulation System in my episode of "Intervention", below. In "Edison's Endosymbiont Experiments", I depicted Rey as an Interventionist. With help from Nyrtia's agent, Rey, by 1918, Edison's researchers were close to devising an hierion probe that could detect the femtobot endosymbiont that is inside every human being. That Intervention was depicted as a part of Nyrtia's effort to make the people of Earth aware of hierions in advance of the arrival of the alien fru'wu. "Edison's Endosymbiont Experiments" includes a woman called 'Angel' who was an agent for the bumpha and who disrupted Rey's effort aimed at making Earthlings aware of their hidden endosymbionts. 

telekinesis trek

My 2022 science fiction story "Edison's Endosymbiont Experiments" ended with a demonstration the hierion femtobots can easily provide humans with telekinetic abilities (see the blog post "Kineticoids"). For the Star Trek episode called "Where No Man Has Gone Before", I never understood how Sally Kellerman suddenly developed her telekinetic powers. Maybe some un-seen femtobots got into her body.

Here in 2025, I depict Brak as being Earth's first "complete telepath" and there is no good reason to deprive Brak of telekinetic ability. I hope to find an interesting use telekinesis in at least one of my of stories for "Intervention". I've recently developed the idea of using special femtobots called kinites as an "explanation" for human telekinetic abilities.

McCoy scans the replicoid.

 Femtobot Replicoids. As described in this blog post, the television series "Intervention" was a spin-off from Star Trek. Back in 2013, I commented on  the Star Trek episode The Savage Curtain. In that episode, aliens called "Excalbians" were able to create replicas (what I call femtobot replicoids) of dead people, including President Lincoln. The television series "Intervention" originated from the Star Trek episode "The Naked Time" in which I imagine that technologically advanced aliens, the Psilari, exist on a very cold planet orbiting a dead star. 

 Star Trek fan-fiction. In contrast, the Excalbians resided on a planet that had a molten surface. How can life exists on/in a molten planet? Maybe the Excalbians are an artificial life-form composed of hierions. For my episode of "Intervention", Nyrtia is familiar with the Excalbians because they reside on a planet that is part of the Phari network. Also, Nyrtia is responsible for an Intervention on Earth that allows President Lincoln to live until 1895. Balok (see The Fesarians) responds by to this change in Earth's timeline by sending what we can call the "Mary femtozoan" to Earth.

Tyhry and Rylla are sisters. Brak is Rylla's grandson.

 Bumpha. In keeping with the Star Trek theme of science fiction television show called "Intervention", I will make use of Balok the bumpha, who was a character in my 2024 science fiction story The Fesarians. Also, in The Fesarians, Balok was depicted as helping develop telepathic humans. In particular, hybrids of the tryp'At and another hermaphroditic human variant, the Huxy.

 Universal Telepath. My episode of "Intervention" begins with Tyhry showing Brak how to use the Reality Simulation System. They are searching for the truth about how both Nyrtia and the bumpha modulated the pace of technological advance in the Ekcolir Reality. Their search takes them (and Brak's grandmother, Rylla) to the point of arrival of the "Mary femtozoan" on Earth in 1869.

Episode 1 of "Intervention". "The Mary Intervention"

Tyhry had just returned to Earth after a long interstellar space exploration mission onboard the HySe. Initially, Tyhry went into the Ekcolir Reality Simulation in order to cross-correlate HySe stellar mapping data with the parallel data being collected by Sedrover. When Tyhry arrived back inside her nanite research workshop, a Marda replicoid told Tyhry, "Brak is not pleased that you missed his birthday party." Tyhry noticed that the original copy of Marda was still of on a flight of Sedrover, testing a new zero-G aquaspa that Marda had designed.

Tyhry sighed. "We were delayed. The is so much to see out there in the galaxy!" After dropping of the data and leaving the cross-correlation work to one of her replicoid copies, Tyhry popped herself out of the Ekcolir Reality Simulation and arrived  at her childhood home in Arizona. She put through a call to Perth and was soon in vidlink to her nephew, Brak

"Late, as usual, Brak said. "I hope you have not completely forgotten about my birthday present."

Tyhry knew that it was almost impossible to get Brak to wear more than just his birthday suit. She gazed upon his beautiful naked body, looking for signs that he might be reaching the first stage of sexual maturation for a biological entity that carried an H chromosome. There, above his penis, were now a few strands of adult-style hair. "I'm now available. How soon can you get here?"

"I'll catch the next strato. I'll see you in eight hours."

"Excellent. Will you be traveling alone?"

"No. Rylla insists on treating me like a child. I'll call from our flight to the spaceport." Brak terminated the vidlink.

Tyhry reviewed the mail she had received from Brak. Only now was Tyhry seriously thinking about the details of where and when to take Brak for his first excursion inside the Reality Simulation System. Tyhry was not pleased that the year 1869 was on Brak's wish list. Later, when Brak called back, Tyhry asked, "You are still obsessed with Lincoln?"

Brak had frequently discussed his interest in President Lincoln with Sedruth. Now he told Tyhry, "Sedruth has all but admitted that the Fru'wu Intervention began with prevention of the early death of Lincoln."

Tyhry complained, "The 1860s are so disgusting. You know I prefer to use the Simulation System to visit the future."

Brak grumbled, "Not true. You waste all your time in the present of the Ekcolir Reality."

"That feels like the future. Wait until you get a taste of interstellar travel!"

"Not interested."

Rylla was there beside Brak on their flight. From out of Brak's transmitted video field, Tyhry heard Rylla say, "Good luck trying to change his mind, Tyhry."

"I'm not trying to change your mind, Brak. I just hope you realize how horrible conditions were in the days before electricity, medical microbiology and toilets. People died of absurdly silly causes like milk-sickness that were so easily preventable."

Brak chuckled, "As I understand it, as soon as I'm inside the Simulator, I won't have to worry about anything. If something unpleasant happens, you'll just pop me out of the Simulation, right?"

Tyhry nodded. "I expect you can pop yourself out. Nobody has better rapport with Sedruth than you do." It had been one of Eddy's requests that Brak not be allowed to use the Reality Simulation System until he was nine years old. Tyhry had enforced that rule, weathering Brak's complaints for years. Every time Brak had visited Arizona, he'd spent all his time using the Simulator in Viewing mode, which Tyhry felt she could not deny him. Now, after Eddy's 'second retirement' he and Zeta were seldom in Arizona and they spent their time traveling around the world. It had fallen to Tyhry and her replicoid copies to prevent Brak from making use of the Simulation System to enter into Simulations of the past Realities of Time. "But do not be reckless when we are inside the Simulation System. You've heard the story of your mother's death on Threy."

Brak moaned. "That was so bogus. Just a lame attempt to smuggle alien nanites. Mom's 'death' did not prevent her from giving birth to me." Brak was trying to stay hydrated. He drank some of his Tri2O and then said, "I've decided on 1869, at the end of Lincoln's second term. That is when National High School Act went into effect and Lincoln and his wife, Mary, traveled from state to state rallying support for the funding and building of High Schools. Their son Robert and his wife (also a Mary) handled lawsuits related to tax-funded High Schools. Specifically, I'd like to meet Mary Eunice Harlan, who in the Ekcolir Reality became the first female President."

Rylla said, "We're landing."

Brak asked Tyhry, "You will pick us up at the airport?"

"Yes, of course." The vidchat ended and Tyhry adjusted the Viewer of the Reality Simulation System to 1869 and explored points in time when it would be possible for Brak to meet both the former president Abraham Lincoln and the future president Mary Harlan. Finally, Tyhry decided on Washington D.C. and a weekend family gathering at the home of James Harlan, who would be elected President in 1872.

Tyhry got into her flying car and took off, heading for the airport to collect Brak and Rylla. She opened a vidlink to the Sedruth entity. "Sedruth, I've done a quick differential analysis and found that Mary Eunice Harlan appears to have the profile of a likely Interventionist."

"Brak, lacks your experience with the Simulation System, but his access to the Sedron Time Stream led him to Mary Harlan. Brak has developed a rather obsessive interest in Mary." Sedruth paused. "I suppose you expect me to tell you what was behind the Mary Intervention."

Tyhry asked, "Was she an Interventionist agent for Nyrtia or for Balok?" Sedruth remained silent. "My guess is Nyrtia."

"Correct. In fact, the Interventionist agent who you have identified as Mary Harlan was expected by Balok to be active on Earth from 1859 to 1959. She was on a routine 100-year-long assignment for the bumpha, but Mary got caught up in the last throws of the Time Travel War and was not extracted from Earth until 1973, just before the Time Travel Era was terminated by the Huaoshy."

Tyhry mused, "Maybe I should take Brak to 1859, when Mary was just 13 years old..."

Sedruth told Tyhry, "I suppose you would expect me to advance Brak's age for the Simulation."

Tyhry commented, "Brak could easily pass for a bright, well-educated 13-year-old in 1859."

"That's not the point, Tyhry. Brak specifically requested 1869. How are you going to introduce a young lad like Brak to a busy former president like Abraham Lincoln?"

"Here's my plan..." Tyhry replied. "Mary Harlan will be 8 months pregnant with her daughter, 'Mamie'. I'll show up as an applicant for the position of nanny, which they are trying to fill."

"Portraying yourself as a single mother with her son, Brak?"

"Exactly. My husband having died in the war. A young son in my care will be an asset, garnering sympathy."

Tyhry took the flying car off of autopilot and landed and merged into the traffic near the airport. Ten minutes later, Tyhry had collected Rylla and Brak and they were back in the air, headed out of the city towards the high desert. Tyhry explained the location she had selected for Brak's first adventure inside the Reality Simulation System. "I'll suggest serving as a maid for the weekend, as a trial of my services."

Rylla asked, "What about me?"

Tyhry shrugged, "You should just stay home and play with Anthony. This will be a fast micro-Simulation. Our weekend will only last the time it takes you to achieve two orgasms with Anthony."

"I'd like to meet Lincoln myself."

Sedruth suggested, "A single mother with a grandma Rylla and son Brak to support."

Tyhry said, "Very well, but this is about Brak. I can't imagine what you will do for the weekend."

"Rylla giggled, I'm sure something will come up, particularly if Sedruth inserts all four of my breasts into the Simulation."

Tyhry laughed at the thought of Rylla's four big tryp'At-style mama's breasts bouncing around in front of Abraham Lincoln in the year 1859. "Don't be absurd. You and I will have to use conventional human bodies while in the 1869 Simulation."

"Sedruth said, "Mary Harlan is a probot. She'll immediately recognize that you three are not normal Earthlings."

Brak chuckled, "So, my hunch about Mary was correct! And now I will get to meet an Interventionist from the future... a true time traveler."

Tyhry took hold of Brak's hand and opened up a telepathic link to his mind. Tyhry quickly provided Brak with the information Sedruth had shared with her about Mary Harlan's role as an Interventionist. "I don't know if Mary was a time traveler from the future or if Nyrtia simply shifted her into Time from the Hierion Domain."

Brak said, "Harlan. When I started learning about the Ekciolir Reality, that name caught my eye. I wonder if Asimov named his time traveling Andrew Harlan after this Harlan family and Mary Harlan the Interventionist."

"Tyhry is correct," Sedruth said. "Brak, the particular Mary that you have targeted was positioned on Earth by being shifted into the Hadron Domain from the Hierion Domain. However, there actually is another Mary, Balok the bumpha's agent, Mary Stilwell, who was sent into the past from the far future. Mary Stilwell began her role in the Edison Intervention in 1859... as part of Balok's response to Nyrtia's Lincoln/Harlan Intervention."

Rylla was surprised. "Edison? In 1859?" Rylla was thinking about her meetings with Edison when he was an old man, in the 1920s.

Sedruth suggested, "I could send you all to 1859. Tyhry and Brak can spend a weekend with the Lincolns in the home of Senator Harlan. Rylla, you could meet Mary Stilwell and witness the beginning of her mission on Earth and learn about how she altered the life of Edison."

Rylla complained to Sedruth, "So, you'll send me to a different Reality."

Sedruth advised Rylla, "Don't confuse the boy."

"I understand what grandma is saying." Brak had grown up constantly examining his grandmother's thoughts. "I'm not confused. I understand Realities as deep basins of attraction that can absorb many micro-Changes."

Tyhry reminded Rylla, "It took the Mosy intervention to flip Earth out of The Ekcolir Reality and into the Buld reality. The kinds of Interventions that were carried out by these two Marys caused only relatively minor changes to the Ekcolir Reality."

"You know why I'm a stickler for this terminology. Eddy and I long ago took to cataloging what Eddy and I called micro-Realities. The term is well-defined. Each time we identified an Interventionist agent as having arrived in a Reality, we catalogued that as being the origin of a new micro-Reality. In the days before the Sedron Time Stream was recognized and Sedruth revealed himself, Eddy and I needed a way to keep track of the complexity of the Time Travel War and all of the branching micro-Realities."

Tyhry said, "Rylla, it is true that after Eddy, nobody else has explored Deep Time more extensively than you. However, I'm not comfortable describing events like the Edison Intervention as being battles in the Time Travel War. Under the Trysta Truce, Nyrtia and Balok were both working towards the same goal."

Brak added, "It would be beautifully ironic if Nyrtia tricked Balok or Manny into starting the Edison Intervention and then Manny eventually had to end it."

Tyhry's flying car was dropping down towards their destination. Sedruth suggested an analogy, "Today is a windy say. Dozens of small adjustments are being made by the autopiltot... correcting for each gust of wind that hits the aircar. It was the same with Nyrtia and Balok during the Trysta Truce: a long series of adjustments and counter-moves being made as they both tried to perfect the shape of Time."

They landed on the driveway and Tyhry manually took control and parked the car in the garage. The three passengers exited from the car and entered to cool interior of the house. Only one elderly cat remained, the very elderly Pepper who slept in a corner of the great-room, too tired to even take notice of the arrival of Rylla and Brak. Brak sat down at Eddy's old computer workstation and telepathically activated the user interface of the Reality Simulation System, revealing an image showing the home of James Harlan in 1869. Impatiently, Brak asked Tyhry, "Can we just drop in on them?"

Sedruth told Brak, "I've arranged to insert you into this Simulation under conditions that will minimally disrupt the flow of time. You two will arrive inside the Simulation and find yourselves inside a carriage, approaching the home of Senator Harlan. I've manually subtracted their maid, and with all the visiting guests for the weekend, that will create an opening for Tyhry's gambit of offering her services. It is critical, Brak, that you thread a needle here. You need to impress the Lincolns and Senator Harlan with your good manners, without arousing their suspicions."

Brak nodded and said nervously, "It seems quite tricky."

"I know this goes against your nature, Brak, but you have to learn how to lie." Rylla offered more advice. "This is supposed to be fun and entertaining for you, so relax and have fun. If need be, we can always restart the Simulation."

Sedruth opened a portal to Washington and Tyhry took Brak's hand and let him into the Simulation. For just a second, Rylla saw on the display screen an image of Brak and Tyhry wearing clothing appropriate for 1869 riding a carriage, then the display shifted to show a very young Mary Stilwell. Sedruth said, "My analysis indicates a dramatic change in Mary's behavior in 1869 when she started attending high school. Genetically, I confirm that Mary is a Huxy, a Huxy blastocyst having previously been inserted into Earth's timeline, but she is also host for a femtozoan, only recently arrived from the future. When you arrive inside the Simulation, you will be able to identify Mary Stilwell by her red scarf. I've subtracted two of the students from the simulation to make room for us... one is named Helen Danser and you will play her role. Just follow Mary inside." The portal of the Reality Simulation System opened and Rylla walked through. 

Rylla found herself perched on the rear shelf-seat of a carriage at the corner of Washington and Linden Streets. She had been shifted into the form of her own 14-year-old body. The driver of the carriage was Sedruth, disguised as a man of 1869. 

Tyhry jumped off the seat at the back of the carriage. Sedruth pointed across the street to where students were gathering for the first day of school.

Rylla saw a girl with a red scarf. After walking down the walkway along the edge of the street towards the front doors of the school, Rylla wasted no time in approaching Mary Stilwell. 

"Why is everyone standing out here?" Rylla added, "Hi, I'm Helen... Helen Danser. Do you know what is going on?"

Mary examined Rylla and was rather startled by Rylla's great height. "The front doors have not been unlocked. Teachers have been entering through the back, but they won't let students in through that door." Even as Mary spoke, students began moving through the front door.

Rylla commented, "Classes don't start for at least half an hour."

"My father taught me to always be early for everything."

"Early is good, unless he always has premature ejaculations," Rylla quipped. "And nobody wants to deal with the unexpected stress of a late menstrual bleed."

Mary laughed and asked, "Do you speak from experience?"

Rylla guessed that she had caught Mary's attention. Rylla was tempted to tell Mary something about her personal experience of child birth process, but she decided to play her assigned role in this Simulation. "Sadly, no. I'm still a virgin. I only get to fantasize about ejaculations unless I'm blurting out something rude. My mother thinks I have a big mouth."

Mary laughed again and led the way inside the high school building and up to their classroom on the second floor. The Huxy femtozoan from the future that was inside Mary's femtobot endosymbiont had immediately recognized Rylla as being a weak telepath with plenty of tryp'At gene combinations. That femtobot now took control of its host body. In the stairwell, Mary went up first and took advantage of the steps. She abruptly turned hugged Rylla and kissed her on the mouth. At the top of the stairs, Mary noted, "You were quick to get your tongue inside me. I find that very promising." Rylla could well believe that Mary was genetically an hermaphroditic Huxy and probably sexually attracted to women.

As they walked down the hallway Rylla told Mary, "Come with me into the restroom and let me get between your legs... I'll give you a demonstration of what I can do with my tongue."

"Ug. I'm squeamish about public restrooms." They walked past the door to the girls room. "Let's wait until I get you in my bed where we can come together and call it a celebration of being young and horny in '69." Entering the classroom, they found their names on strips of paper on desks. Clearly the students were expected to sit in alphabetical order. 

Rylla moved herself to sit beside Mary. Mary shook her head at Rylla's audacity of changing her seat and disrupting the teacher's plans. Rylla decided to explore just how openly the femtozoan from the future that was inside Mary would reveal itself. "This is just a Simulation. We can do anything we like."

Even as Rylla tried to provoke the Huxy femtozoan, the teacher approached Rylla and said, "Helen? Why did you move over here?"

Rylla nodded towards Mary and read the teacher's name off of the blackboard, "Mrs. Strauss, please don't come between us, we have important things to discuss."

Mrs. Strauss rolled her eyes. "I can see you are going to be trouble" Loud voices came from the hallway and Mrs. Strauss moved off.

Mary asked, "What do you mean, 'Simulation'?"

"Mary, lets be open with each-other." Rylla said, "I know you have a femtozoan from the future, probably trained by Balok with the help of a Simulation of this era."

Mrs. Strauss returned to the classroom with another girl who she told, "Sit over there, by Mary and try to stay out of trouble."

Rylla telepathically sensed this was Sedruth, in the role of a girl named Kathrine. Sedruth sat at the desk immediately behind Mary. Helen told Sedruth, "I can't take you anywhere."

Sedruth telepathically told Rylla: I kept Mrs. Strauss off your case. Try not to attract attention to yourself.

Mary looked back and forth between Kate and Helen. "You two know each-other?"

Helen said, "She's actually the Sedruth entity."

Mary watched Kate briefly transform her face into that of Abraham Lincoln. Kate told Mary, "I have complete control of this Simulation. Helen is from the Final Reality, here to observe you and learn about your Interventionist mission on Earth."

The room was now filling up with students and becoming noisy. "Get us out of here." Rylla suggested, "Take us back to Arizona."

Sedruth terminated the Simulation of Newark High School in 1869 and extracted a femtobot replicoid copy of Mary from the Simulation System. Now Mary looked around the great-room in Arizona. Finally she asked, "Is this another simulation?" Rylla, now back in her actual body and dressed for a different century, took hold of Mary's hand and a synapex link formed between them. As the femtobot replicoid of a Huxy, Mary quickly began assimilating the information flowing to her mind from Rylla. "Almost 200 years in the future." She pointed to Eddy's computer workstation. "That must be Tyhry's interface for the Simulation System."

Rylla asked, "You know Tyhry?"

"I trained with an X clone for this mission, and if I understand what I see in your mind, Rylla, that X clone was a copy of your sister Tyhry, living in the Ekcolir Reality." Mary looked out the window at the desert. "It is strange to think that this is the Final Reality."

Sedruth had retained the Kate body form, but 'spoke' telepathically to Mary, as Sedruth. Kate gestured towards Rylla and told Mary: This is Rylla, who you just met and knew as Helen inside the Newark simulation. Rylla has previously studied Edison in the 1920s, but is only now beginning to appreciate how Balok began the Edison Intervention with you.

Rylla asked Mary, "How did you meet Edison?"

Mary reached out and stroked one of Rylla's lower breasts. "You are a tryp'At, like Tyhry?"

"I have many tryp'At gene patterns, but somewhat differently arranged than for Tyhry. We are sisters, but each of us was carefully genetically engineered for our special roles in the Final Reality."

Mary was still wearing her clothing from 1869. She had her hand down inside her dress and was exploring her genitals. "Thank you, Sedruth."

Rylla asked Sedruth, "What have you done now?"

Mary explained, "Sedruth gave me control over some of my femtobot components... specifically, the configuration of my genitals. I just returned myself to my original Huxy body form."

Rylla was slowly learning how to telepathically search through Mary's complex mind and vast memory. "So, you are a male Huxy?"

"I'm genetically a male. Would you like to see me my penis?"

"Yes, I would. Let's go out back to the hot tub." Sedruth, still in the physical form of Kate, followed along.

Rylla led the way out to the hot tub that was on the patio behind the house and soon they were undressed, but had not yet climbed into the hot tub. Rylla was examining Mary's penis. Mary was quite enjoying the sight of Rylla's four breasts and her four erect nipples, but she complained to Sedruth, "This is a cruel tease! I have my penis, but it has not yet grown."

"We are only 14 years old." Sedruth touched her own small breasts. "We have a lot of growing to do."

Rylla laughed and told Mary, "Sedruth is a real prankster." Rylla climbed into the hot tub and then Mary and Kate followed. Rylla added, "Sedruth knew that you wanted access to your penis, but all he gave you was your pre-pubescent penis."

Sedruth explained, "Had I given you any more, I would have had to sit here and watch while Rylla attempted to prove to you that a tryp'At can have as many orgasms in an hour as can a Huxy."

Rylla asked, "And would I have succeeded?"

"Of course not. You are not a pure tryp'At. Mary is full-blooded Huxy with a demanding sexual physiology.

Rylla would not give up that easily. "I've spent decades developing drugs that enhance my orgasms."

Mary laughed, "That sounds interesting." Mary was now playing with her erect penis. "As a formerly sexually active Huxy, it has been frustrating living inside the body of virginal school girl... with no penis.

Rylla launched into a description of her work in the field of synthesizing agonists for the tryp'At sex hormone receptors. She finally concluded her tutorial with, "We'll have to experiment and find out if the Huxy have oxypathin and klytykynyn receptors."

"I know you two are obsessed with sex." Kate rolled her eyes. "Brak and Tyhry will be back before you two even get down to business."

Mary asked Rylla, "Brak is your grandson?"

Rylla suggested, "Maybe we should wait for Brak to return." Rylla told Mary, "He's Earth's first complete telepath." She told Sedruth, "I'm struggling to sort through all of Mary's memories. I've never prowled through such a complex mind."

Sedruth commented, "You are exploring the memories of a femtozoan from the future, which was used by the bumpha for many Interventions over the course of centuries in the Ekcolir Reality and the situation is complicated by the fact that this particular femtozoan originated in the Asimov Reality where it passed through dozens of Huxy individuals, absorbing the experiences of many lifetimes."

"Well, it is very confusing." Mary was still stoking her penis and Rylla now was quite horny. She could not resist playing with the erect glans of her clitoris. "I don't understand why the bumpha would send a horny Huxy on a mission like this."

Sedruth, still in the body of Kate was stoking her own erect nipples. "Job one for Mary was seducing Thomas Edison. Her Huxy femtozoan knew exactly how to attract Edison's attention." Sedruth seemed to notice what Kate was doing with "her" hands.  Sedruth stopped giving himself pleasure and said, "I suggest getting on with your mission, Rylla."

Mary relaxed in the bubbling jets of the hot tub and asked, "What do you want to know?"

Rylla had just achieved a sweet little orgasm and now she managed to pull her eyes off of Mary's pretty penis. She asked Mary, "What was your mission in Newark in 1869?"

"First, I was integrating myself into American society. I was trained by Simulation, but nothing quite matches actually living as a member of a new culture for a year or more. When you showed up, Rylla, I was only a little more than a month into my mission, but I'd already observed Thomas... soon after he moved to New Jersey. According to my mission parameters, I was to meet him in 1870 and we were to wed in 1871. My mission was to find ways to help support his work... his efforts to develop new technologies."

"Any specific technologies?"

Mary shrugged. "I asked Balok that question while I was in training for deployment on Earth. He gave me the usual song and dance about him not being able to tell me much about my own future due to the constraints imposed by temporal paradoxes."

Rylla had been trying to remember what she had learned about Edison and his family back during her previous investigation of Edison inside the Reality Simulations System and how Rey had tried to help Edison discover the existence of human femtobot endosymbionts. Rylla told Mary, "I recall that you died young, but I don't recall the details."

Mary giggled, "I can see in your memories that you know more about Mary Edison's future than I do. Somehow when I began my mission, I imagined that I'd have a long life with Thomas. From my perspective now, not yet having even spoken to Thomas, it seems strange to think that I will die and then Thomas will have another wife after me."

Just then, Tyrhy and Brak returned from their adventure inside the Reality Simulation System.

I provided Gemini with an edited copy of my episode of "Intervention" (see above for the un-edited version). I removed all of the story content that I imagined might offend Gemini's puritanical restrictions. In the PDF that I provided to Gemini, I called the story "The Lincoln Intervention".

Me: Process the file that I just uploaded. Create a science fiction storybook for adults with illustrations of events from the science fiction story “The Lincoln Intervention”. Make the illustrations in the storybook photo-realistic and they should resemble full color high resolution movie stills.

 Besides the usual refusal of Gemini to actually make photo-realistic images, Gemini's "storybook" images were pretty bizarre. Look at those "high school" students in Figure 10. With her red scarf, Mary is a real stand-out. I can't imagine how the AI decided to 1) dress Mary in era-inappropriate clothing, 2) twist her head around backwards or 3) put another copy of Mary up at the teacher's desk. In the text of "The Lincoln Intervention" (the edited version of this episode of "Intervention" that I uploaded to Gemini), I did not provide much information about Sedruth. I simply described Sedruth as "an artificial life-form and the guardian of the Reality Simulation System". Gemini's depiction of Sedruth in Figure 1 (above on this page) is strange: half human and half crystal.

For Figure 2, Gemini did not seem to try to make the appearance of the adult Rylla match the other images (Figures 1, 3, 8, 9). The Viewer equipment for the Reality Simulation System (Figure 3) and the portal to the RSS (Figure 4) do not look at all like Hi Tek™ futuristic equipment.

Of all these Gemini-generated storybook images, I like the one shown in Figure 5 the best. I'm not sure what Gemini was trying to depict with the floating particles that surround Rylla and Mary in Figure 6. As shown in Figure 7, Gemini consistently showed the young version of Rylla inside the Simulation in what might be school girl garb for 1869, but somehow Rylla got special treatment. All the other students and the teacher in that image seem to be from another era.
