Most of this blog and many of the collaboratively-written stories that are discussed here are copyleft resources. That means the stories are free to copy and share and modify as you like; just link back to the original source. ShareAlike means that if you modify the works, you must license your new version in the same way, so that other people can build upon your work. Enjoy!

Fan Fiction.
Some of the fiction discussed here in this blog is Fan Fiction where the story and characters are probably claimed as the intellectual property of a published author (such as Jack Vance) or the estate of an author (such as Isaac Asimov or Carl Sagan) or a for-profit corporation. Such characters and story ideas are borrowed for use here in the spirit of Fan Fiction, for the enjoyment of science fiction fans and with no intention for profit. If my use of these characters or story ideas offends the owner, just let me know....I'll quickly remove my derivative stories from the internet.

Some of the images in this blog are NOT free to copy and share. Many such images originated at the DeviantArt website where the copyright holder gave permission for their image to be used by other people. In some cases, I have asked the creator of an image for permission to post a copy of their image on a page of this blog. In other cases, I provide a link back to original image at DeviantArt where the creator made it available as a stock image under certain restricted terms of use. Some of the copyleft resources that I use here at this blog came from other websites such as Flickr where they were made available for re-use by the copyright holder.
