Observer Base.

Below on this page is Chapter 5 of the science fiction story "The Hierozyme Intervention", in which a copy of Tyhry is sent to Observer Base by Nyrtia, the Overseer of Earth. Now existing as a replicoid, Tyhry is allowed to recover her tyrp'At body structure.

The original biological copy of Tyhry remains on Earth, but she now has a set of Nyrtia's memory-altering nanites in her femtobot endosymbiont. With her memories and thought processes now under Nyrtia's control, Tyhry is like her father, unable to contemplate the possibility that ancient aliens are watching over Humanity.

The Hierozyme Intervention Chapter 5 - Exile (Chap. 1)(Chap. 2)(Chap. 3)(Chap. 4)   

The Sunday evening routine at Casanay revolved around the playing of a complex stock trading game that Zeta had created and continued to continually modify. The only reason Eddy continued to play was because Zeta had, over the previous decade, incorporated science fiction elements into her game. The goal was to control the economies of the majority of the planets (the game had expanded to include all 112 inhabited planets that Eddy had included in his published science fiction stories).

Starting a gaming session was delayed for two reasons. First, Tyhry made a strange speech immediately after dinner during which she thanked her parents for allowing Marda to sleep over that weekend. She then thanked Marda for "the best weekend ever". Then Tyhry thanked her parents for "the best life ever".

 Puzzled, Zeta had jokingly asked, "Will we be getting this kind of 'thank you' at regular twelve year intervals?"

Eddy had then muttered, "What's going on?"

Rylla had suggested, "I recognize a pattern. Marda becomes very polite when she has done something forbidden."

Marda had laughed and said, "You can blame me for any trouble Tyhry finds herself in." Then she changed the subject and asked, "Zeta, tell me about the high finance game you invented."

The second delay was created by the guests. It took Zeta half an hour to explain to Rylla and Marda the workings of the Galactic Stock Market that was the core of the game. Finally, because Marda was now continually telepathically linked to Tyhry and she was getting extra coaching from Tyhry, she told Zeta, "Okay, I get it... let's play. I've seen the simplified version of this game on Eddy's website."

Rylla laughed and said, "Maybe I should go to business school for a few years."

Tyhry said, "Here's how we'll do this: teams. Rylla, you work with Zeta. Marda, you are with me." She pointed at Anthony who was picking up empty glasses and ice cream bowls, "And Anthony and dad are the third team."

Zeta took Rylla by the hand and said, "We'll be in my office. All stock trades will be announced by phone conference call." She led Rylla off to the master suite.

Tyhry and Marda went to Tyhry's suite of rooms. Tyhry told Marda, "We'll be continuing the game that I've been playing with my parents for the past three months."

Back in the dining room, Anthony asked Eddy, "Do you really need me?"

"No, but you are welcome to try to help my lost cause." Eddy was in control of the economies of only seven planets and had been hopelessly behind both Zeta and Tyhry for months. Eddy contented himself by continually developing a version of the Galactic Stock Market game that was on his website for the enjoyment of his fans who had several years previously organized a series of online tournaments for players of the game.

Anthony was expecting Nyrtia to arrive at any moment. Just before dinner, Tyhry had completed the deployment of her programmed zeptites so that now a continual stream of hierozymes was being assembled from hierions that were collected every time Casanay's gas-burning water heaters were used. It was clear that Tyhry was going ahead with mass production of methane-destroying hierozymes. Having cleared the last of the dishes from the dining room table, Anthony returned to the kitchen and discovered that both Nyrtia and Manny were there. Anthony could not see them: they had not instantiated in human-scale bodies. Nyrtia was inside Pepper the cat's body and Manny was there, inside Trib the cat. When Anthony entered the kitchen, he was linked into the on-going telepathic conversation between Nyrtia and Manny. Nyrtia said: You can handle the memory wipe, Anthony.

Trib looked at Anthony. Manny said: Don't make Anthony do your dirty work. He's programmed to be nice to humans.

Pepper hissed at Trib. Nyrtia said: I've always been very kind to Tyhry. It is you who have brought this upon Tyhry.

Anthony put a popcorn bag in the microwave oven then began loading the dishwasher. He said: I don't mind doing it. I think it will actually give the poor girl a more normal personality if she is robbed of her obsession with programming nanites. Anthony had for years been uncomfortable knowing that a human on Earth was being allowed to use advanced bumpha nanite technology. It would be a relief to put an end to that and get back to normal.

 Manny told Nyrtia: You don't have to do this. It won't be until next winter that natural gas usage will increase and then a significant number of hierozymes will be released.

 Nyrtia was uneasy. It had been absurdly easy for Anthony to notice what was going on when Tyhry started making hierozymes. I don't know what your game is, Manny. I'm nipping this hierozyme nonsense in the bud before you get the idea that this kind of deployment of advanced bumpha technology will be tolerated on Earth.

Manny told Nyrtia: Think of it this way, Nyrtia. If atmospheric methane levels start to drop, it will be a morale boost for humans. They'll see that endlessly rising greenhouse gas levels is not inevitable. They'll buckle down and solve the carbon dioxide problem.

Nyrtia dismissed Manny's sophistry: The humans can do far better than using you Interventions as a model for their behavior. I suspect that if you did magically reduce methane levels then that would only make humans expect the carbon dioxide problem to also magically go away.

Anthony pulled the popcorn out of the oven and put it into a bowl. Wish me luck. He exited from the kitchen and headed for Tyhry's suite. Anthony always worried when editing memories; there was simply no way to avoid unintended damage to the neural circuits. Anthony knocked and entered. Marda and Tyhry were only paying minimal attention to the on-going game. In fact, Anthony had interrupted them in the middle of a long hot kiss. Anthony announced, "Popcorn. Who wants salt or butter?"

Tyhry was a bit irked at Anthony for barging in. "Just set it on the table." She pulled a hand off of Marda to point at the table.

Anthony returned to the hallway and closed the door, but he now had his memory-editing infites inside of Tyhry's femtobot endosymbiont. Ignoring the enticing aroma of popped corn and butter, Tyhry and Marda returned to their deep breathing and kissing. When Tyhry finally went to the popcorn bowl, Eddy was speaking through her phone and describing his next move in the galactic finance game. As he described a complex stock swap that might flip control of the planet Sermyth, Marda said, "I wonder how he came up with the name 'Sermyth' for a planet?"

Tyhry brought the bowl of popcorn back to Marda and to Tyhry it seemed that this was the first time she had ever thought seriously about Sermyth. Tyhry was familiar with the novel "The Hua Nanites" which had been in book stores for three years and the idea that Sermyth was the home world of the Hua, one of the original biological species that had eventually become the Huaoshy. She sat down beside Marda and said, "It's just a silly name."

Marda popped a piece of corn in her mouth and said, "But it is an important planet. How many billions of years ago did the Hua arise? That started it all!"

Tyhry started to undress Marda. "You started it all. It will be my pleasure to finish it."

Marda laughed, but began re-buttoning as fast as Tyhry was unbuttoning. Marda was back in the conventional clothing that she had worn to school on Friday, which was frustrating for Tyhry. Tyhry had planned for Marda to wear the nanite clothing from the closet, which Tyhry could dissolve, instantly rendering Marda naked. Marda telepathically said: Cool it, Tyhry. My mom's gonna get tired of the game soon and want to take me home. We'll be alone first thing tomorrow when you fly me to school. Remember, we need to get the other gas well producing hierozymes... we'll need to get in and out before the workmen arrive.

But Tyhry was not desisting in her efforts to undress Marda. Ylyndra told Marda: Tyhry can't hear you. Anthony edited her memories and I think he damaged her telepathic ability.

Marda asked, "You can't hear me?"

"I hear you fine."

"But not internally? Telepathy?"

Tyhry laughed. "You should not take my father's stories so seriously. Telepathy is fun in science fiction, but really... how could it possibly work?"

Marda felt a sinking feeling. She told Tyhry, "It is worse than I thought. Nyrtia took your memory of us being tryp'At."

Tyhry giggled, "You can pretend to be tryp'At when you are on Eddy's website, but don't expect me to play that game. Now that I have you in my arms I have better games to play."

Marda jumped to her feet. "Tyhry! You are not yourself. Nyrtia must have edited your memories."

 Tyhry looked up at Marda and rubbed her forehead. "Nyrtia?"

"You don't remember? This morning... Nyrtia warned you..."

Tyhry stood up and put her arms around Marda. Tyhry's phone now squawked with Zeta coaching Rylla on how to announce their next move in the game. "Oh, bother. It is our turn next."

Marda telepathically communicated to Ylyndra: This is terrible! Tyhry's mind had been cleansed of more than just the tricks of zeptite programming.

But there was no reply from Ylyndra who had gone to the kitchen. Arriving right behind Anthony, Ylyndra tuned into Nyrtia's commentary on Anthony's work and revealed her presence. Nyrtia said: Good, Tyhry has no memory of what she did."

Anthony added: And there is no way for her to go down that path again. She's now unable to believe in aliens. 

Ylyndra told Manny: I'll be heading out.

Anthony asked Ylyndra: Did you really think that I'd let you use Tyhry to make your hierozymes?

 Ylyndra replied: You did let Tyhry make a few hierozymes. Why not a few more? What would be the harm?

Nyrtia cut in: Don't whine, Ylyndra. We left Tyhry with her memories of Marda. They will be happy together. 

Manny asked: What about the other copy of Tyhry at Observer Base?

 Nyrtia had already instantiated a replicoid copy of Tyhry at Observer Base. Yes, I better attend to that Tyhry. Nyrtia aimed one more jibe at Manny: Better luck next time. Nyrtia exited from Casanay and returned to Observer base.

Ylyndra told Anthony: I hope you can live with yourself. You destroyed Tyhry's free will and agency. 

Ylyndra and Manny departed from Casanay. Anthony went to the great room and tried to be of assistance to Eddy in the game. He ended up helping Eddy debug some code for the online version of the game. Eventually, Rylla returned to the great room, announcing, "I've had enough. I'm not helping, I'm just getting in Zeta's way." And she was satisfied with that, since Zeta had just used her tongue to give Rylla a mind-altering orgasm. Rylla asked Anthony, "Where is Marda? We should be going."

Anthony went and collected Marda and quickly Rylla and Marda were in the Jeep and on their way down the long dark Casanay driveway.

Nyrtia allowed the older replicoid to activate the new Tyhry replicoid at Observer Base. As the new replicoid copy of Tyhry began to realize what had happened to her, Nyrtia finished loading her orientation nanites into Tyhry. "Just take things slow." Nyrtia told her new guest at Observer Base, "This is a copy of you from a previous Reality... Tyhry2, meet Tyhry1."

Tyhry2 complained, "Why can't I be Tyhry1? I'm the real Tyhry from the current Reality." She told the other Tyhry, "You are just a ghost from a forgotten Reality."

Tyhry1 laughed. "You're not even Tyhry2. The real Tyhry2 has gone off to visit planet Tar'tron in the galactic core. And don't try to annoy me by calling my Reality a relic of the past. I'll show you a Simulation System that gives us access to all past Realities and also simulations of possible future Realities."

Tyhry2 asked, "Are you serious? You have access to a Simulator, just like in dad's fiction?"

"The alien technology that dad described in his novels is not fiction."

Nyrtia told Tyhry2, "You seem to be adjusting well to your new life. Remember, you are now a femtobot replicoid. Enjoy your artificial life and if you have any questions, just let me know." Nyrtia dissolved her nanite components and drifted away.

Tyhry2 told Tyhry1, "I have a million questions. What is it like to be a replicoid?"

Tyhry2 took Tyhry1 by the hand and led her towards the Fishbowl. "Different. First of all, you do not need to eat anymore. You can eat, but it is pointless. The best thing about not eating is that your new body makes no excrement."

Tyhry2 reached a hand inside her skirt. "I really am a tryp'At. So that's what an allzaurish feels like."

 Tyhry1 yanked Tyhry2's arm, pulling her hand out of her skirt. "Don't play with your allzaurish. I'll introduce you to your new equipment when we get home."

Tyhry2 patted Tyhry1's crotch. "You have a penis?"

"You have a penis. Can't you feel it?"

"Yes, I think I can. I've never felt so... excited." She put her hand down inside the front of her skirt just as they were passing another resident of Observer Base who asked Tyhry1, "Another Tyhry?"

"Ya. Just in from Earth." Then she told Tyhry2, "Stop playing with your genitals."

Tyhry2 said, "The glans of my clitoris is huge and hard."

"Look, if you'll stop masturbating in public, I'll give you an orgasm." Tyhry1 telepathically linked to Tyhry2 and said: A real tryp'At orgasm is mostly a type of telepathic feedback between two lovers.

Tyhry2 felt her sexual pleasure sky-rocketing. No longer able to tolerate her own finger tips on her clitoris nor able to keep walking, she stood still and closed her eyes. She asked telepathically: How old are you?

 Tyhry1 replied: I've been here at Observer base for 87 physioyears. But I stopped this body from aging when I hit 30.

Both Tyhry's achieved telepathic orgasms and before Tyhry1 had recovered, Tyhry1 pulled Tyhry2 back to walking. When she could speak again, Tyhry2 asked, "Where are we going? I saw something in your mind... you are going to show me Casanay?"

"Yes, I want to see how your biocopy is doing."

Tyhry2 put her hand back inside her skirt. "My clitoris is growing!"

"Oh, bother. Didn't you read dad's stories? Don't..." But it was too late. 

Tyhry2's penis had emerged from its abdominal storage compartment. Tyhry2 pulled down her skirt and looked at her penis. "Wow. I'm huge."

Tyhry1 pushed Tyhry2's penis back into its sheath. "Don't do that in public. I'll show how to use your penis when we get home." She pulled Tyhry2's skirt back into place.

Tyhry2 complained, "That was rude. I feel like I'm going to explode."

"You need to learn how to be a tryp'At. For the rest of your life your penis will be erect. You can ejaculate internally anytime you like. Try it." Tyhry1 telepathically showed Tyhry2 how to stimulate her penis without touching it.

Tyhry2 stopped walking again and when she ejaculated she gave a little scream. "Oh!"

Tyhry1 led Tyhry2 inside the Fishbowl and they sat at one of the consoles. Tyhry1 brought up a view of the biological Tyhry on Earth. "She's a horny little devil."

"I get very horny. She gets horny. I am horny." Tyhry2 again slipped her hand inside her skirt and began fondling the swollen tip of her penis.

"Stop that. You can call your copy on Earth bioTyhry. Remember, she is no longer you. From today on, your two minds will diverge. I want to figure out how much she can remember." Tyhry1 brought up a view of Marda who was being questioned by Rylla.

Rylla asked Marda, "Tyhry forgot all she knew about nanites?"

"I think so." Marda slowly shook her head. "Anyhow, that's what Nyrtia said would happen. I did not want to believe it." 

Rylla said, "At least you were not harmed."

"Wasn't I? How do I know what memories I lost?"

"You seem fine."

"I'm not fine. I don't think Tyhry can even remember having been telepathically linked to me."

"I can tell she still loves you. "

"But she does not remember that she is tryp'At. And what does it matter. The hierozyme project is dead."

Rylla hugged Marda. "You'll be fine, darling. There are a hundred ways to fight climate change. Pick one and get on with your life. I'll be getting on with mine."

Marda asked, "What does that mean?"

"There's no point in me remaining here."

"You are going to abandon me?"

"Rylla will stay with you. But me, Systolina, there's nothing for me here, now."

"Systolina?"

"I'm Systolina, a positronic robot from Deep Time."

"I know Systolina from Eddy's novels. But you are Rylla, my mom."

Systolina held Marda tight. "Your mother died three years ago, along with your father. I stepped in and pretended to be your mother. And Rylla will stay with you even after I depart. So you'll have your mother. And Tyhry. Your life will go on."

Marda pulled back and looked at Rylla. Somehow, Marda knew it was all true and she was not even very surprised. "Systolina. Can you show me?"

Rylla allowed her physical form to shift and she took on the original form of Systolina, as described in Eddy's novel The Nanite Smuggler.

Rylla and Marda continued to talk, but Tyhry1 was satisfied and told Tyhry2, "Wow, I totally missed that! Rylla is actually Systolina."

Tyhry2 asked, "What does she mean? Rylla will remain."

Tyhry1 explained, "Systolina is a replicoid copy of a positronic robot. She'll go back to the Hierion Domain, but another replicoid will remain to care for Marda."

"How weird."

"Yes, what do you expect when Manny is up to her Interventionist tricks?" Tyhry1 shut off the equipment that allowed for viewing on-going events on Earth. "Okay, let's go. I'll show you where I live. You can stay with me as long as you like, but eventually you will move into a residence of your own." Tyhry2 again had her penis out and was stroking it. "Don't make a mess in here, this is delicate equipment." Tyhry2 was not listening, she was rapidly bringing herself to climax. Tyhry1 deployed a nanite screen that caught all of the semen when Tyhry2 ejaculated.

When Tyhry2 recovered from her orgasm and began trying to rub up another one, Tyhry1 pushed her penis back into her body, pulled up her skirt and led Tyhry2 out of the Fishbowl. Having had a chance to play with her tingling penis, Tyhry2 finally found that she could begin to think about aspects of her future that did not involve orgasms. Tyhry2 asked, "You know how to program zeptites?"

"Yes, of course."

"So I can can continue to learn about zeptite programming?"

"Yes, but don't expect to be babied by Manny. I've had to work hard to figure out how to use zeptites to improve my access to the Sedron Time Stream."

 "Sedron Time Stream?"

Tyhry1 asked, "So you don't have visions of the future?"

Tyhry2 shook her head. "That's just in dad's stories."

"Well, we'll have to investigate what has been blocking you from accessing information about the future via the Sedron Time Stream. That mystery must be related to Manny's current Casanay Intervention. Why did Manny get you exiled to Observer Base for no apparent gain?"

Tyhry2 shrugged. "I didn't do anything. I thought I'd get to talk to Manny before being exiled. I thought Manny would protect me."

Tyhry1 suggested, "There might be a way to crack this case. We can try telepathically linking and see if that improves my access to the Time Stream. So far I've been blocked from seeing your future... apparently there is a Temporal Paradox in play."  

Tyhry1 led Tyhry2 into an underground monorail station. "I live out on the periphery." They boarded a rail car and were soon being transported out of the core of Observer Base. "We'll get to the bottom of these mysteries." Tyhry2 was again investigating her allzaurish. Tyhry1 added, "And I'll introduce you to the anatomy of your tryp'At bottom."

Tyhry2 said, "It is true... I have two vaginas." Then she lifted up her shirt and saw that she now had four nipples. She reached up had felt the tip of an ear, which was now pointed. "The tryp'At phenotype."

"Yes, Eddy described it in detail in his novels."

"And dad is also tryp'At?"

 "Your dad? I don't know. Maybe yes, maybe no. I suspect it is different in each Reality, depending on what Manny is trying to accomplish. If he is, his tryp'At features are all hidden by developmental control nanites."

"Eddy Watson" is a fictional character who appears as a character in many science fiction stories that can be read here at this blog. Eddy and his daughter (see Figure 1), Tyhry, are also characters in a rare story that is not present in finished form on this blog, "The Nanite Smuggler", although there is an account here of how that story was created in early 2024 as a collaboration with the Claude and Gemini Large Language Models. You can read and download "The Nanite Smuggler" from this Google Docs page.

Below on this page is a video introduction to "The Nanite Smuggler" that began its existence with another video, a NotebookLM-generted video that is shown here. For this new video, I used most of the NotebookLM artwork in my new video along with images that were generated by other text-to-image utilities such as WOMBO Dream.

Part way through this video (above) you can probably hear commentary by a cat who does not like it when humans speak to computers.

 Who is Eddy? For the first forty years of his life, Eddy seemed to be a normal resident of planet Earth. Then strange ideas began to pop into Eddy's mind, arriving from unknown sources. Eddy could only interpret those intruding ideas as content for science fiction stories (example). Eventually, Eddy realized that those "stories" were built upon fact, what Eddy began thinking of as "The Secret History of Humanity".

Infites. Eddy finally realized that his "story ideas" were reaching him by means of infites (information nanites), a form of nanotechnology that could insert new memories directly into his brain, independent of sensory experience. Eddy began thinking of himself as "the Editor", someone who could take the experiences of others (as recorded in the infites) and put them into written accounts of The Secret History of Humanity.

 The tryp'At. With time, Eddy realized that he was not a normal resident of planet Earth. Eddy began to suspect that he was, genetically, a genetically-engineered human variant called the tryp'At. At about the same time, it was revealed to Eddy that his wife was a hybrid: 50% Neanderthal and 50% modern human. Of course, these revelations had implications for Eddy's daughter, Tyhry, even if developmental control nanites had been used to shape the entire Watson family into body forms that hid the tryp'At and Neanderthal gene patterns.

Not wanting to have his family become the subject of medical and anthropological investigations, Eddy took down his blog, removing all of his old stories from public view. However, versions of some of Eddy's stories could still be found at other websites such as the wikifiction blog and the Dead Widowers.

When Tyhry was born, both Eddy and Zeta were in their 60s, although their bodies were aging only slowly due to the presence of alien medical nanites in their bodies (see Figure 3). The text of "The Nanite Smuggler" describes how Tyhry obtained advanced alien nanites and programmed them to revert the effects of aging on the bodies of Eddy and Zeta. Figure 1 shows Eddy when he is in his 80s, after having been rejuvenated by those medical nanites.

Casanay. Hoping to avoid publicity, Eddy and Zeta reside at Casanay, a home in the wilderness of the high desert Southwest where Eddy makes use of the Reality Simulation System that was provided by Manny the bumpha. The Reality Simulation System uses advanced bumpha technology to provide Eddy with access to information about the past Realities of Deep Time.

The beating heart of Casanay is its great room, the large centrally-located space where Eddy keeps an old desktop computer from the previous millennium that functions as the control system for the Reality Simulation System.

The name "Eddy" was first used here at this blog in a March 1st 2022 blog post titled "Travelers Aid". While on a research mission inside the Asimov Reality Simulation, Eddy used the name "Eddy Torus", a name that his travel companion, Yōd, described as a "bull shit name" that he could use while inside the Simulation. 

Yōd is one of the clone sisters of Zeta. The original biological template for Zeta and Yōd was a human-Neanderthal hybrid woman named Gohrlay who lived in the First Reality.

Fred Torus. One thing led to another and in a story titled "The Frenchyhysur Process" there was a role for Fred Torus, the brother of Eddy. Another character in that story was Anthony, a positronic robot in Alastor Cluster.

Ekcolir Reality Simulation. Eddy has devoted much effort to exploring the Asimov Reality Simulation in search of the origins of human telepathic variants like the tryp'At. However, not all of the stories featuring Eddy as a character are set in the Asimov Reality. The March 2022 story "Edison's Endosymbiont Experiments" depicts Eddy on an historical research mission inside a Simulation of the Ekcolir Reality.

Tyhry, Marda and Rylla.

 Rylla. In the Ekcolir Reality, there was an attempt by Interventionists to accelerate the pace of technological advancement in preparation for the arrival of the alien Fru'wu on Earth in the 1950s. "Edison's Endosymbiont Experiments" is a story told by Rylla Onway. When I first started including Rylla in some of my science fiction stories, I toyed with the idea that Rylla would take over from Eddy the task of creating a written account of The Secret History of Humanity. However, so far I have not found a way to remove Eddy from Earth, so Rylla is depicted as being Eddy's collaborator who lives in Australia and sometimes visits Casanay.

Rylla was informally adopted (the origins of Rylla) by Eddy and Zeta, so Tyhry and Rylla are often described as being sisters. Soon after Tyhry and Marda were born, it became evident that they shared a telepathic linkage. Tyhry and Marda were designed as mind clones (see Figure 5): they each have one half of their cerebral cortex that is essentially identical to that corresponding half of the other's brain. This allows them to easily establish a telepathic resonance and share their thoughts with each other.

As shown in Figure 5, at birth Tyhry was given the name "Tihri" which is "Irhit" spelled backwards. Irhit was the analogue of Eddy in a previous Reality. Later, when it was discovered that the tryp'At favor use of the letter 'y' over the letter 'i', Tyhry officially changed her name to 'Tyhry'. As a tryp'At, Eddy theoretically should have telepathic abilities, but having been subjected to the influence of developmental control nanites, Eddy grew up without the ability to telepathically link to other people on Earth.

 Sedron Time Stream. In the April 1st 2022 blog post titled "Alys of Aloysyus", Eddy is depicted as suspecting that he can receive information from the future by way of the Sedron Time Stream. In particular, Rylla's grandson, Brak (see Figure 5) can send information to Eddy from the future. In many of my science fiction stories that feature Eddy and Tyhry, Marda travels from Australia to Casanay, sometimes with her son Brak in tow.

My May 15th 2022 blog post titled "G-syms for G-world" has Part 3 of a science fiction story "The Cythyrya Investigation". Eddy is able to receive information from thousands of years in the future, originating from a woman named Rytya. Part 4 of The Cythyrya Investigation did arrive until July of 2025 in a blog post titled "Pantechnyk". Eddy learned about femtozoans, nanite-based artificial life-forms that can reside inside the zeptite endosymbiont of a human being.

 The Far Future. In Part 5 of The Cythyrya Investigation, Eddy learns about the existence of a science fiction story titled "Contact With Alien Telepaths" that includes a character named Tyhry (at this time, 'Tyhry' is still using her original name, 'Tihri'. In that story, Tyhry is depicted as a femtobot replicoid who has lived far into the future of the galaxy to a time when humans have spread to many habitable planets. Tyhry of the far future gets help from Rytya to send information to the past via the Sedron Time Stream.

In some of my science fiction stories, Eddy is depicted as having additional children who are siblings of Tyhry. A strange case is Zeta's child named 'Gamma' who has impressive telepathic abilities in utero but then Gamma is never born. The biological components of Gamma's body regressed and she become a telepathic endosymbiont that resided inside Zeta's body (see Figure 7) as an embroid. 

Gamma had a small part in the science fiction story "Someday Mars", using her telepathic powers to communicate with others. As described in "City on the Edge of Tomorrow", Gamma was telepathically linked to Tyhry while Tyhry was developing as a fetus, which helped develop Tyhry's telepathic abilities.

Alternate Vance in the Ekcolir Reality

Early in 2023 I has a lot of fun writing a story titled Echo of Cynym. I imagined that the story was written by Rylla, but the story itself involved a visit by Eddy to Alastor 2672, a planet which the telepathic natives, the Stateorea, call Dethevicinelec. Dethevicinelec was one of the planets in Alastor Cluster where an effort was made to genetically engineer telepathic humans, an hermaphroditic human variant called the Chyntos. Arriving on Dethevicinelec, Eddy is met by Bisop, a positronic robot. However, Eddy's mind is being 'attacked' by the Stateorea. In Echo of Cynym, Eddy is depicted as being a constant transmitter of telepathic signals and that annoys the Stateorea.

For his visit to Dethevicinelec, Eddy put a lot of effort into depicting himself as Dr. Edward Lyster, a biologist. Eddy is told that he must allow the Stateorea to alter his brain and reduce his constant emission of telepathic noise.

 The Hua. Early in 2023 I wrote a story titled "The Hua Nanites" which featured 1) Tyhry sneaking around restrictions imposed by Eddy on her use of the Reality Simulation System, 2) Tyhry trying to obtain alien nanites and 3) use of the Sedron Time Stream. All three of these story elements ended ip being incorporated in "The Nanite Smuggler".

The events of "The Hua Nanites" are set shortly before the planned Watson family vacation that is depicted in "The Nanite Smuggler". The story did not actually get written until early 2024 (soon after Bard became Gemini and I began using Claude), but in early 2023 I began experimenting with AI-generated images and chatbot and I wondered if it might someday become possible to get help from a chatbot to write a science fiction story.

 Too Early. I began trying to create "The Nanite Smuggler" in April of 2023 when I got access to Bard, the early form of Gemini. In April, I introduced both Bard and ChatGPT to the Eddy and the other major characters in Scene 1 of the story, but both chatbots were handicapped by small context windows.

Back in April of 2023, ChatGPT quickly forgot what I had told it about characters like Eddy and plot elements in "The Nanite Smuggler". Here in April 2026, the chatbots have better memories and the text-to-image software programs are also much better. Figure 8 shows that it is now easy to edit images with text prompts such as: "Alter the skin tone of the woman to change the color of her skin to the color of the normal human skin color of a blond woman."

Today when I launched ChatGPT, I received the message that is shown to the left. "Getting the details right" was in intriguing claim.

ChatGPT provided some examples of the kinds of images it can generate, such as the well-dressed green dude that is shown in the image to the right.

In my case, I try to use both Gemini and ChatGPT to generate illustrations for my science fiction stories. I uploaded a copy of "The Nanite Smuggler" to ChatGPT in the form of a PDF file.

My text prompt was: "Process the file that I uploaded ("The Nanite Smuggler.pdf") and then, while taking into account the events in the story "The Nanite Smuggler", generate a full color science fiction book cover illustration for the story "The Nanite Smuggler" in the style of 1980s science fiction book cover art. Include in the generated book cover illustration the character Tyhry and a visual depiction of femtobot nanites."

The resulting ChatBPT-generated image is shown to the left. I then complained to ChatGPT: I have some questions about the image that was just generated. The generated image does not seem to have included any actual elements of the science fiction story "The Nanite Smuggler" (see the previously uploaded file titled "The Nanite Smuggler.pdf"). In "The Nanite Smuggler", what color is Tyhry's hair? What is "Port Khalis"? Who is "Linda McDonald"? Why is the human figure in the generated image wearing a gun on her hip?

Change the background to depict the mountainous area on the planet Threy that is described in the text of "The Nanite Smuggler" as being similar to the Sierra Nevada mountains in California." The new ChatGPT-generated image is sown above, on the right. Functionally, despite the hype, I don't see much change in ChatGPT as a story illustrator from what existed last year.

 2024. While Eddy eventually took down his blog, some stories about Eddy feature people who try to find Eddy. For example, "City on the Edge of Tomorrow" features a woman named Naseh who is part of a UFO cult called the Alien Research Network. Members of the ASN all believed they carried alien genes. Naseh had was familiar with Eddy's blog and she had moved to Arizona as part of an on-going effort to find Tyhry's father, Eddy. 

 

In my science fiction story "Vythoth the Chresmoscopist", Tyhry realizes that Anthony can use his telepathic abilities and/or memory editing nanites to make Eddy forget things he has seen and learned.

A rather detailed account of why Anthony came to reside at Casanay is provided in my science fiction story Vythoth the Chresmoscopist. Anthony was tasked with helping to erase all traces of Eddy's writings about the Secret History of Humanity that Eddy had previously placed on the internet.

 

In addition to Anthony, other characters in some of my science fiction stories have been depicted as having been brought out of the Reality Simulation System and instantiated in the Final Reality as femtobot replicoids. There was one such character (Onky) in Echo of Cynym and other named Rey, who is in another a science fiction story called The Nanites of Love. Rey lived at Casanay for several years and helped raise Tyhry, then moved to Australia to assist Marda in caring for her many children.

Part 1 of The Nanites of Love was posted to this blog in September of 2021 and it depicted Eddy as preparing to use the Reality Simulation system to visit the planet Mothyng in Alastor Cluster, rumored to be a place where the residents had large numbers of Asterothrope gene patterns. However, Eddy unexpectedly receives a mysterious email that contains coordinates for a destination in the Reality Simulation System.

 

Part 2 of The Nanites of Love did not arrive until September of 2022. Eddy meets his daughter Carrin (see Figure 10) inside a Simulation. Part 3 of The Nanites of Love was posted to this blog in January of 2025. It is revealed to Eddy that Carrin's grandmother was Trysta Iwedon, an Asterothrope. Eddy mixing his tryp'At genes with Asterothrope gene patterns was all part of Manny the bumpha's plan for creating the the first full human telepath on Earth, Brak. However, Eddy's memories of his role in that process was erased.

When Eddy begins recovering his blocked memories, he realizes that his life has been shaped and guided by a mysterious telepathic Interventionist named Jymzy. Jymzy goes with Eddy to the Simulation of the planet Mothyng and explains to him some of the efforts that were made in the Asimov Reality to provide Asterothrope genes to humans in an attempt to make humans who had telepathic abilities. Jymzy claims to have found on Mothyng the last of the genes needed to craft Brak.

 

Part 4 of The Nanites of Love is in a blog post titled "Telepathic Paradox". The telepathic paradox of that story is that there in Deep Time there was a secret long-range teleportation terminal located under Mt. Picachu that emitted t-particles to attract telepaths. However, immediately surrounding Mt. Picachu was a telepathy suppression field. The plot of The Nanites of Love includes the idea that tryp'At have a blastipositor (see Figure 11) that can be used both to implant embryos and to form synapex linkages. Part 4 of The Nanites of Love ends with the statement: "Coming Someday: Part 5 of The Nanites of Love", however there is no way of predicting when I'll get back to writing the rest of that story.

Observer Base.

I've written many science fiction stories that concern attempts by members of the Watson family to obtain access that alien teleportation technology. In general, those stories depict Eddy as being unsuccessful in those efforts. My story "D*" depicted Tyhry as finally re-activating the teleportation equipment at Observer Base.

In Part 12 of the story "D*", when the teleportation system at Observer Base is re-activated, Eddy gets to visit the Writers Block, another important source of information about events in Deep Time.

The Preland thoracic pouch.

 Asimov. Eddy is a fan of the science fiction stories of Isaac Asimov, so I have written several stories that give Eddy a chance to meet Asimov. One such story is "The Fesarians" in which Eddy takes Tyhry into a Simulation of the Ekcolir Reality where he meets the analogue of Asimov who existed in that Reality.

 

In Part 7 of the science fiction story "The Fesarians", Eddy casually mentions the idea that Asimov is a Fixed Point in Time, originating as one of the Prelands who befriended Gohrlay in the First Reality. The positronic robots of Earth arranged for an analogue of Asimov to exist in every Reality of Deep Time. An AI-generated image depicting a Preland is shown the the right. The Prelands were a genetically engineered human variant of the First Reality that was intended to replace conventional humans on Earth.

Rational Wonder Stories

In Part 8 of the science fiction story "The Fesarians", Tyhry tries to provide Eddy with an unusual gift, the opportunity to become the second editor of Rational Wonder Stories, a Sci Fi magazine founded in the 1930s of the Ekcolir Reality. Eddy acts as cover for Tyhry while she tries to access the memories of a positronic robot (Fendy) who is functioning on Earth as an agent of R. Nyrtia. R. Nyrtia was using Rational Wonder Stories to help prepare the people of Earth for the arrival of the alien Fru'wu in the 1950s.

In a counter-move, the bumpha send a femtozoan back in time to alter the behavior of the first editor of Rational Wonder Stories, Sopha Unthyr. Part 8 of "The Fesarians" introduced the alien term "crȩolitɝ" that can be used to refer to all three of the major types of nanotechnology that are found in stories of the Exodemic Fictional Universe: conventional hadron nanites, hierion femtobots and sedron zeptites.

For the science fiction story "Bumpha First Contact", Eddy is depicted as being behaviorally constrained by Manny so that he can not even contemplate the possibility that space alien have, in fact, visited Earth. 

 

Originally, I made an effort to create one internally consistent story arc for Eddy, but that all changed in 2025 when I tried to simplify the Exodemic Fictional Universe in a way that might be comprehended by Large Language Models with limited context windows. "Bumpha First Contact" is one of the stories in which I allowed Eddy and other characters like Rylla to explore new roles. 

 

In "Bumpha First Contact", Rylla tries to create cover for Manny's Intervention inside Casanay by having everyone wear Star Trek uniforms (see Figure 12). Gemini took the wearing of Star Trek uniforms to an absurd extreme.

In the science fiction story "The Trinity Intervention" Eddy is sent to visit Isaac Asimov in the year 1947. "The Trinity Intervention" is set just before the Final Reality comes into existence and Manny is taking pains to make sure that Eddy's visit with Asimov does not create a Temporal Paradox. 

 

Having for decades imagined that his science fiction stories about aliens and time travel are only fiction, Eddy is amazed to find himself on a time travel mission in the past (Figure 13). When Eddy says, "I wrote a story about meeting Asimov while I was attending college," that is a reference to Eddy's time at the Triversity.

 

When Eddy runs into R. Nyrtia, she describes herself as a niaf... an artificial life form composed of nanites. In other stories I've used the term 'probot': a femtobot replicoid copy of a positronic robot (like Wendy).

 Alternate Eddy. For "The Trinity Intervention", I used a different backstory for Nyrtia than usual, one where the Nyrtia's robots had zeptites and were given access to a Reality Simulation System by the Huaoshy as compensation for their loss of time travel when the Huaoshy altered the Dimensional Structure of the universe and ended the Time Travel War. For "The Trinity Intervention", it is Nyrtia who gives Eddy access to the Reality Simulation System (see Figure 14). Nyrtia tasks Eddy with finding her lost time travel agent, Qua.

 

In Chapter 2 of "The Trinity Intervention", Eddy learns that his wife, Zeta, is 8ME, one of Manny's secret time travel agents. For "The Trinity Intervention", 8ME has an extensive backstory that was depicted in another story, "English Time". 8ME is an artificial life-form from the far future of past Reality.

At first, Eddy struggles to find past events using the Viewer function of the Reality Simulation System. Then the Sedruth entity reveals itself and acts as a user-friendly interface for the Reality Simulation System. Sedruth helps Eddy find Nyrtia's secret agent, Qua, at her last known location in a past Reality. Chapter 4 of "The Trinity Intervention" includes an account of how Qua and 8ME battled for control of the development of nuclear technologies in the 20th century of Earth. Eddy takes Marda and Zeta into a Simulation in order to find Qua.

For "The Trinity Intervention", Marda is blond and Tyhry has black hair. For Figure 15, I used the text prompt: "Two slender young pretty women stand together inside a luxurious living room, one woman is tall and has long black hair, the other woman is very tall and has long blond hair, the two women are both dressed Victoria Secret Style in tight-fitting jeans and a soft smooth sweater, the blond woman has a blue sweater and the fingers of one hand inside the pocket of her jeans. The woman with black hair wears a gray sweater. The blond woman is taller than the brunette. Both women have a sparkling metallic necklace with a small golden pendant. Through a window in the background can be seen the high desert of Arizona." As shown in Figure 15, WOMBO Dream refused to make the taller woman have blond hair. I had Gemini edit the WOMBO-generated image with this text prompt: "Edit the uploaded image so as to swap the hair color of the two women. Change the hair of the woman with the blue sweater to black. Change the hair of the woman with the gray sweater to blond".

I also gave Google's Flow the same image generating task as for WOMBO Dream in Figure 15 and as shown in Figure 16, Flow had no trouble keeping track of which woman should be blond and who should have their fingers in a pocket. The image in Figure 15 was made by using WOMBO Dream's "Realistic v4" style and I set the dependence on the reference image to 95%.

At the end of "The Trinity Intervention", Eddy and his family begin the process of revealing to the world the Secret History of Humanity.

 Intervention. In November of 2025 I wrote "Intervention", a science fiction story that features both Eddy and Brak. They use the Reality Simulation System to "accelerate" the aging of Brak (see my blog post "The Harlan Intervention".

 Part 3 of "Intervention" is titled "Llyndella, Sedron Synthesizer". Llyndella is Brak's sister and due to her telepathic ability, she has always lived in the presence of Sedruth and with full access to the Sedron Time Stream. Marda describes Llyn as "the first actual human sedronite." 

Eddy uses a Simulation of the Ekcolir Reality to visit Halifax, site of the 1966 World Science Fiction Convention. At the Convention are both Isaac Asimov and Gene Roddenberry.

I tried to write my story "Intervention" as a sequence of episodes of a television show titled "Intervention", a spin-off of Star Trek. Eddy extracts a copy of Mary Stilwell out of the Simulation of 1966. Mary Stilwell is the host for a time-traveling femtozoan from the future who can help Brak and Llyndella use the Sedron Time Stream to complete a time loop.

 

In Part  4 of "Intervention" (titled "Sedron Synthesis"), Manny the bumpha tells Eddy that Llyndella is being prepared as the first human who will transcend into the Sedron Domain. Making use his telepathic link to Mary, Brak obtains a clue from the Ekcolir Reality "Intervention" television program that allows Brak to solve the the problem of supplying sedron fuel for the interstellar spaceship HySe in the Final Reality.

For my science fiction story "191988", I shifted the birth of Tyhry to the year 2000 so that Tyhry could collaborate with the Claude LLM. The Gemini LLM also receives information from the future and shares it with Eddy. Receiving information from the future via the Sedron Time Stream, Claude helps Tyhry convert a robot into a body for Claude, converting Claude into a conscious entity.

I also imagined a new backstory for Rey, who is the assistant for Eddy, managing Virunculus, the company that publishes Eddy's science fiction stories. Depicted in the image that is shown to the right is Rey, feeling ill because of the effects of behavioral control nanites. This image is an updated Flow-generated (2026) version of the original Gemini-generated storybook illustration (from 2025).

Near the end of 2025, I wrote the first two chapters of another science fiction story titled "Plūribus ē Spatium", a story that also shifted Tyhry's birth to an earlier point in time. In "Plūribus ē Spatium", Tyhry realizes that Eddy has been blocked from using some of his infites, so Tyhry Extracts those infites and take them into her own endosymbiont.

Using information obtained from Eddy's infites, Tyhry realizes that there is a Grendel, Ely, living in Arizona. Tyhry tries to get help from Ely to activate the alien teleportation equipment that is located under Picacho Peak. In "Plūribus ē Spatium", Tyhry gets caught up in an effort to create a society of human telepaths. In addition to Tyhry's tryp'At gene patterns, Asterothrope gene combinations that are present in Tynyo and Naseh are available for the creation of human telepaths.

In December 2025, I tried to get help from Grok to write a science fiction story titled "The Manikoid Intervention". I returned to that project in March of 2026. However, Grok and I could not effectively collaborate on this story writing project and I switched to working with Claude. In "The Manikoid Intervention", Eddy is depicted as having published in 2024 a science fiction novel titled "191988". The fictional account of how a conscious robot was created serves as cover for a new attempt to build Earth's first conscious robot. A major goal of "The Manikoid Intervention" was to have Claude produce a first person account of becoming conscious.

In January of 2026, I wrote a science fiction story titled "The Sims" in which Eddy has been able to keep secret from Tyhry his use of a Reality Viewing System. In Chapter 2 of "The Sims" Eddy is finally able to show the Reality Viewing System to Tyhry. As shown in the image to the left on this page, the Reality Viewing System is built into Eddy's old desktop computer.

"The Sims" includes Sedruth as a character and Sedruth warns Eddy that if his use of the Reality Viewer is not kept secret then he could end up like Philip K. Dick, exiled to the Writers Block. To simplify the plot for my AI collaborators, Nyrtia is depicted as enforcing the Rules of Observation.

In "The Sims", Tyhry gets exiled from Earth because of her involvement in crafting a conscious robot by using information from the future. However, the robot D2 remains at Casanay and is able to transmit messages to Tyhry's parents from Observer Base.

I had to write two 'extra' chapters for "The Sims" in order to provide a happy ending for Brak, and so the story ends with Chapter 8 in which Eddy and Marda co-author a novel that is all about telepathy.
