"Grean in Space", the Buld Reality

My informant, Gohrlay, recently mentioned that people from the planet Luk'ru have served as Interventionist agents on Earth. The first example of such an agent was Princess Atossu, who helped set Western Civilization on a course that led through the Roman Empire towards an eventual Industrial Revolution in England, Western Europe and the United States.

According to Gohrlay, Atossu was the last of the agents from Luk'ru who carried out a mission on Earth. Before the establishment of Lendhalen as an Interventionist training base, there were many agents from Luk'ru who ended up on Earth, particularly in the Ekcolir Reality. In fact, since the Thomas clones did not become the dominant Interventionists of the Industrial Age in the Ekcolir Reality, agents from Luk'ru continued to operate on Earth right up through the 20th century in the Ekcolir Reality.

Roberta Moore wrote extensively about the Luk'ru interventionists in the Ekcolir Reality. Here, in the Final Reality, Roberta's replicoid was an active member of the Writers Block. According to Gohrlay, here in the Final Reality, the Writers Block serves as a think tank for generating possible strategies for introducing the people of Earth to the secret history of Humanity.

Houston Space Port

The Atossu Intervention was a novel (written in the Final Reality) that told the story of the last Luk'ru Interventionist on Earth, but according to Gohrlay, that book will never be shown to the people of Earth since it would cause too much disruption of Western Civilization. Gohrlay puts it this way: "Nobody wants to know the truth about the origins of the religions that became dominant in the Final Reality." Particularly since hermaphroditic space aliens are so intimately involved.

In the Ekcolir Reality, religion posed no barrier to learning about the secret history of Earth, so science fiction authors such as Thanu Millard, Roberta Moore and Sam Jacky published dozens of stories about agents from Luk'ru and their missions on Earth. According to Gohrlay, there was a television show called Dick Girls that was inspired by a Sam Jacky novel of that name. That TV show was set in the "Richard Hunt Fictional Universe" that had been first used as a setting for stories by Thanu Millard. The original Dick Girls novel was set in Houston, Texas during the 1950s of the Ekcolir Reality when humans first went to the Moon.

For the television show, the fictional Richard Hunt Detective Agency was located in Los Angeles to facilitate production of the episodes. In the Dick Girls novel, Richard Hunt, Private Investigator, was never shown to the reader and there was much argument about whether readers were supposed to assume such a person ever exited. It sounds to me like "Richard Hunt" was just an invented cover for the agents from Luk'ru.

Really, "Richard Hunt" simply existed as a way to allow for puns and jokes about how the agents from Luk'ru were "Dick's Girls" or how their mission was to "hunt for Dick".

According to Gohrlay, Dick Girls could have never have appeared on network television in our Reality, but its sexual themes were fairly tame for the science fiction specialty network of the Ekcolir Reality. The Interventionist agents from Luk'ru who starred in the show were all beautiful women, but the residents of Luk'ru were aliens (an engineered variant of the Kac'hin) who only happened to have the superficial appearance of Earth women.

In the Sam Jacky version of the "Richard Hunt Fictional Universe", Grendels were the mastermind Interventionists, but they had to remain in the background due to their alien features (including pointy ears and flipper-like feet). The Grendels used agents from Luk'ru as their foot soldiers on Earth. As written by Sam Jacky, the Grendels used pheromones to control their Luk'ru agents. Each episode of Dick Girls stereo-typically began with one of the Luk'ru agents being teleported int the Hierion Domain to receive a mission briefing from a Grendel.

These introductory scenes always played out the same. While the Grendel explained the upcoming mission, the poor Luk'ru agent was irresistibly attracted to the Grendel. They would perform some bizarre alien sex act while the backstory for the mission was methodically described by the Grendel. In the television show, it was implied that the agents from Luk'ru were all hermaphrodites while the Grendels were all depicted as female. The Grendels and the agents from Luk'ru were inter-fertile, and through the years of the television series, the Grendels were often depicted as pregnant and shown raising children who were either themselves Grendels or the next generation of Luk'ru agents. The predominantly female science fiction fans of the Ekcolir Reality never seemed to mind the unrealistic biology of Grendel-Luk'ru breeding as long as the sex scenes were steamy enough.

The bulk of each episode was very science oriented, as the Luk'ru agent tried to introduce some advanced technology into the developing civilization of Earth. Usually the mission was a failure because an Overseer would step in and prevent Earthlings from using the alien technology.

In the invariant formula of the Dick Girls television programs, the last scene of each one hour-long show was an epilogue in which a human character from that episode wound up in bed with the Luk'ru agent.

The Gods Thonselves

The only mystery was how each such humans would react when the Luk'ru agent revealed "her" alien anatomy. After a rather explicit sex scene, the episode would end with the deep red Dick Girls logo splashed across the screen.

According to Gohrlay, there was also a short-duration television program in the Ekcolir Reality that was based on a novel called The Gods Thonselves that was written by Isaac Asimov. Apparently Asimov imagined that there were tri-sexual Sedronites with males and females who each passed a gamete to the third sex who then gestated their offspring.

Replicoid Time

In the Ekcolir Reality, The Gods Thonselves was written well after green house gases were causing sea level rise on Earth. In the television show, the plot involved alien Sedronites who are trying to help Earthlings stop the Antarctic ice cap from melting.

Izhiun's Quest

It should not have surprised me that Gohrlay got to meet Izhiun when he was on Earth. I wish I'd had the chance to talk to Izhiun after he deposited a swarm of infites in my brain. I'm still puzzled and intrigued by the contact that he had on Luk'ru with some remnants of the Kac'hin.

Izhiun was born on the planet Luk'ru which is located in the Andromeda galaxy. He was only briefly on Earth, helping to rescue his grandmother, Kach. He stayed on Earth just long enough to pass on to me a record of the life of Parthney, Izhiun's grandfather.

Like most people, Izhiun took for  granted the events of his own life. He mistakenly assume that nobody on Earth would care about what he had done on Luk'ru, so he never really explained his adventures on that planet. Language gets in the way. The people who he viewed as the "natives" of Luk'ru had their own tribes, culture and many languages. I can see those people in Izhiun's memory, but my infites have never allowed me to translate most of their words into a language that I understand.

Jeva

Gohrlay was amused that I've spent years wondering about the things that Izhiun might have heard from the tribes of Luk'ru. Taking pity on me, she recently provided me with the means to now efficiently translate six "missing" languages of Luk'ru into English. According to Gohrlay, they have only been "missing" because of a trick played on Izhiun by Jeva (see below).

Teminating Jeva's "trick" and giving me fuller access to the content of Izhiun's infites is a small experiment: we will find out if this constitutes a violation of the terms of the Trysta-Grean Pact.

According to Gohrlay, there are hundreds of languages spoken on Luk'ru, but these six were the ones that Izhiun had to speak during his search for the Kac'hin.

Izhiun grew up at Bosweina, the village perched on the side of a mountain where Izhiun's parents decided to make their home on Luk'ru. That home started as a landing craft from Many Sails, but through the years Boswei and Hana continually expanded their living space, adopting the architectural style of the nearby Zinty tribe.

By the time Izhiun began his quest and set out from home, a small village had grown up around the homestead of his family. Dozens of the tribes of Luk'ru had sent "ambassadors" to Bosweina where their families lived and slowly built up a small cosmopolitan town that had become an important trade depot by the time Izhiun left home. The closest native village to Bosweina was Zintzun, home of the Zinty. Hana had named her son "Izhiun" in honor of a resident of Zintzun who was named Izini jot hi zun, which roughly translates as "Teller of the future".

According to Gohrlay, when Hana was pregnant with Izhiun (as yet, still un-named), Izini told Hana that her new son would one day go on a great adventure, exploring Luk'ru. Many such little "prophecies" convinced Hana and Boswei that the people of Luk'ru retained some of the abilities of the Kac'hin such as being able to use the Bimanoid Interface.

Zhulf hi zol

As wonderful as their cognitive abilities were, the people of Luk'ru showed no interest in what we here on Earth would call "advanced technology". In order to account for their perfect health and lack of interest in food, Gohrlay hypothesizes that the tribal people of Luk'ru were "cared for" by nanites. Boswei had proposed an alternative theory: that they were not actually biological organisms, but rather, a form of artificial life composed of nanites. Gohrlay rejects that idea because the people of Luk'ru occasionally did die and, when needed to maintain the population, they could give birth to babies.

While growing up, Izhiun had often visited friends who lived in Zintzun. Izhiun learned the Zini language as a child and that was the one language of Luk'ru that I was able to translate upon receiving infites from Izhiun a couple of years ago. When Izhiun set out in search of the Kac'hin, it was natural for him to first pass through Zintzun.

One of Izhiun's friends in Zintzun was Zhulf hi zol ("Sing the stars"). Zhulf was what we on Earth might refer to as Izhiun's girl friend, although few people on Luk'ru thought in such terms. Izhiun and Zhulf had long made plans to go on a quest together, but they had different visions of the future and Izhiun's impending search of the Kac'hin. Gohrlay suspects that Zhulf knew exactly how to make contact with the Kac'hin, but did not want to tell Izhiun the truth. Zhulf wanted to travel and have a great adventure with Izhiun, but she was in love with Izhiun and feared that his quest would result in her losing him.

Oz danz

After Izhiun said goodbye to his father and left his home for the last time to begin his search for the Kac'hin, the first half of his adventure involved a long complex ceremony at the pyramids of Zintzun. Izhiun's stay in Zintzun lasted 23 days and featured a long debate between Hana and Izini about the nature of the Kac'hin (known to the natives as "The Ancients"). Hana and Izini both liked to split philosophical hairs and Hana was rather desperately trying to delay Izhiun and keep him near home. Finally, Izhiun and Zhulf set out from Zintzun, following along the river Zi towards Izhiun's next destination, the village of Wezzkarinin.

Izhiun had previously met Zhulf's cousin, Oz danz ("Next mother"), a resident of Wezzkarinin. Oz had the honorary title "Oz danz" because she was to be the next woman who would become pregnant. This was a big deal, and she was expected to devote full time effort to trying to predict when she would give birth and who the father would be.

Izhiun was never certain about the sex of Oz. As a child, when Ishiun was first introduced to sexual games by Zhulf, Oz was sometimes present in Zintzun and became one of Izhiun's sexual partners. Gohrlay suspects that when Ishiun was young and was in a state of blissful ignorance under the protective wing of Hana, he had no idea that half the population of Luk'ru were hermaphrodites. Izhiun later became part of an on-going conspiracy by which Zhulf protected Izhiun from ever realizing that he's had sex with a hermaphrodite.

The issue of identifying fathers on Luk'ru was tricky, because until the arrival of Boswei, there were no males. The people of Luk'ru were all either females or hermaphrodites. The hermaphrodites were almost anatomically identical to the females and nobody much cared who was a hermaphrodite most of the time. However, there were always circulating rumors and new prophesies of an impending pregnancy somewhere on Luk'ru. Most of these rumors were not taken very seriously and were enjoyed by the people as a kind of elaborate "guessing game". A favorite ploy was for someone to predict a pregnancy and announce the prophesy in a public ceremony as a formal way of proposing "marriage" to a new lover, although "marriage" is a human term that was not used on Luk'ru.

After the arrival of Boswei and Hana, there was considerable speculation about the possibility of inter-fertility between the new arrivals and the natives of Luk'ru. However, Gohrlay says that there was no chance of such cross-fertilization, despite the considerable experimentation with gamete exchanges that did take place. Love affairs and sexual behavior were major preoccupations and pass-times for the people of Luk'ru along with story telling, singing, the practice of complex rituals (which often involved dancing) and the crafting of decorative works of art which they collected in their homes and wore on their bodies.

Oulen cheneshere

Oz took seriously her role as an oracle and she insisted that Izhiun abandon his original plan (jointly developed with Zhulf) to simply follow the river Zi downstream all the way to the sea. After much argument and repeatedly dosing herself, Izhiun and Zhulf with hallucinogenic plant extracts, Oz convinced Izhiun to accompany her to the mountain enclave of Wazani, where Oz claimed he could learn the true path that his life should take.

During their rather long uphill walk to Wazani, Oz and Zhulf argued incessantly. Zhulf accused Oz of being jealous and trying to steal Izhiun away. Oz warned Izhiun that he should not trust Zhulf because she was unable to put aside her personal wants and desires and help guide Izhiun towards his proper path through life.

Wazani was located on a high mountain-side meadow and was the home of a famous hermaphrodite named Oulen cheneshere (translated: "Mighty 6743"), the 6743rd hermaphrodite of Luk'ru to have fathered a child.

Wazani was one of the Stations of Life for the nomadic Ducam tribe and Mighty 6743 had traveled extensively across the entire continent over the course of thousands of years.

Years before, when Izhiun was just a baby, Mighty 6743 had know Hana well, but had finally fallen out of her good graces after insisting that Izhiun's great quest for contact with the Kac'hin would result in him departing from Luk'ru. Hana did not want to hear that her son would leave the planet, so she forbad Mighty 6743 from ever again visiting Bosweina.

Through the years, rumors that he would travel to the stars reached Izhiun. Izhiun was intrigued by the idea that he might be able to travel through outer space to other worlds. However, Zhulf had long been hoping that Izhiun would remain as a resident of Luk'ru.

The Ducam were renowned to be great herbalist, famous for brewing a hundred different types of potions and drugs. Oz, Zhulf and Izhiun spent nine days in Wazani on a drug-powered vision quest, trying to learn the truth about Izhiun's path through life. All of their visions indicated that Izhiun should travel to the east, into the Za river valley, but Zhulf insisted that she and Izhiun should first make their long-planned journey down the Zi valley to the coast.

Finally, after a long guided hallucination session with Mighty 6743, Zhulf could no longer deceive herself about Izhiun's destiny. Oz rather bluntly accused Zhulf of having intentionally lied for years about the portents in order to keep Izhiun from achieving his true quest. After a long and mournful leave-taking, Zhulf returned to Zintzun and Izhiun departed alone from Wazani and continued on down into the next valley to the east.

Kripf jot zi oung

In the village of Zaachil, Izhium met another hermaphrodite, Kripf jot zi oung (Master of the copper). Inside the High Pyramid of Zaachil, Kripf showed Izhiun an ancient book, imprinted on metal plates, that held his life's story, including a detailed description of his quest to find the Kac'hin and even an account Izhiun's impending journey to Earth.

Reading off of one metal page, Kripf informed Izhiun that he must make his way towards the city of Muzizu. Izhiun asked for details about his quest and his prophesied visit to Earth, but Kriph refused to translate any more of Izhiun's life story into Zini, telling him that it would cause a time paradox if Izhiun learned too much about his future.

In the company of Kripf, Izhiun set off again, now moving upstream along the Za river. They next reached the river village of Abzarok.

Jeva wy

Abzarok was a port for the aquatic and nomadic Mele'iswa tribe (roughly translates as "The Boat People"). There, Izhiun met a fellow traveler named Jeva wy ("Reads minds").

Jeva had a major impact on Izhiun's life and I now understand that the infites I received from Izhiun were heavily "curated" by Jeva. Below is an account of the brief time that Izhiun and Jeva shared together on Luk'ru.

After Kripf and Izhiun reached Abzarok, they spent several says participating in dance ceremonies. Izhiun was rather famous across much of Luk'ro, and for several years rumors had spread that Izhiun would visit Abzarok. Special dance ceremonies had been choreographed and the idea had grown up that Izhiun must be entertained and kept in Abzarok as long as possible.

After several days of wild dance parties, Izhiun was rather tired and sat on a dock blinking into the morning sun and eating his breakfast, a fish that he had just caught in the river. While Izhiun eats and chats with Kripf, a boat comes up the river and moors at one of the docks.

Jeva wy is a passenger on the boat that has just arrived in Abzarok. Without delay, Jeva exits from the boat and walks up to Izhiun and introduces herself, speaking in a mixture of river-pidgin and broken Zini, "Hello, Izhiun. I am ready to join your quest. I am Jeva wy."

Izhiun feels that somehow he already knows Jeva, although he is certain that they have never met. Izhiun remembers Zhulf's many stories about her relatives who lived in villages to the east of Zintzun. Speaking in Zini, he asks uncertainly, "Are you part of Zhulf's family?"

Jeva replies, now switching over entirely to Zini, "No, Zhulf and I are not closely related, although all we people of Luk'ru are the children of the Kac'hin. I'm from the far side of Luk'ru." She takes his hand, "Come, we can make a good start towards Muzizu before night falls.

 Kripf says goodbye to Izhiun and wishes him luck on his quest. "If you ever return this way, we can compare what is written in the book of your life to what actually happens to you."

As they walk out of town along the bank of the Za river, Jeva soon convinces Izhiun that she can read all of his thoughts and view his memories. She tells Izhiun that he is a fool to leave behind Zhulf and go off in search of the long-dead Kac'hin. "If you come to your senses, we can turn around at any time and go back to Zintzun."

In an alternate Reality.

Izhiun laments, "I am tempted to do just that. Each step away from her pains my heart. However, I have had strange visions...I must visit Muzizu and discover what awaits me there. Maybe I will return to Zhulf after a few weeks of questing."

Jeva, never having released his hand, teases him, "There are many women in your future. You will learn to live without Zhulf... you will love again."

Izhiun says, "Tell me my future. What have you seen?"

Jeva shakes her head. "I can't see the future, but I can read what is in your heart. You already know more about the future than you find it possible to believe." While they walk, Jeva recounts to Izhiun some of the key experiences from his life and explains the meaning of those events, meanings that Izhiun was often totally unaware of at the time.

When they make their camp for the night, Jeva watches with interest while Izhiun eats his supper. He asks her, "Are you eating right now?"

She laughs, "What a silly idea, although it must be true. Something must feed me all the time. Maybe we will learn answers to such mysteries in Muzizu. I've come from the other side of the planet to find you and visit the Ancients."

"But you and everyone on Luk'ru agree about the Ancients, that they are long dead."

Jeava asks, "How do you know what is true and what is fable?"

Izhiun grows uncomfortable under her constant attention. "Tell me the truth." He asks her, "Are you female or an hermaphrodite?"

She laughs and replies, "I could give you either answer! How do you know what is true and what is fable?"

Izhiun says, "I'm a male-"

Jeva interrupts him: "I know. I've come half way around this world to be with you. To join with you."

Izhiun complains, "I don't think I want to...be with an hermaphrodite."

Jeva chastises him, "How do you know until you experiment? You might enjoy having an hermaphrodite for a lover. Or as a second mind."

"I know myself. I like females."

"Really, what difference does it make? Female, hermaphrodite...even male. None. No difference... we are all people. Anyhow, I can see it in you memories. You've already made love to an hermaphrodite...you did not even notice that she had been misrepresented as female."

Shocked and a bit repulsed by the revelation, Izhiun asked, "Who was it?"

"What difference does it make?"

"Looking in my memories, how do you know that one of my lovers was an hermaphrodite?"

"I've been all through your mind and heard conversations that others had while near you, using languages that you did not understand. With their words as a hint it is easy enough for me to see the verifying clues in your mind. Were I an hermaphrodite, I could fool you just as easily as you were fooled before."

"So, you are not an hermaphrodite?"

"What difference would it make if I were?"

Tired of verbally sparing with Jeva and tired from a long day of walking, Izhiun builds up a big fire and beds down for the night. Jeva, in awe of his need to eat, drink and use fire for warmth, lies down beside him. She asks, "What is it like to be cold?"

He replies with a question, "Can't you see that in my mind?"

"I can see it, but I can't feel it."

"After a long night on the ground, cold is a pain."

"Yes, I see that...it is a pain like the pain you are feeling for your loss of Zhulf. We of Luk'ru are lucky...we have very little pain in out lives."

Izhiun asks, "How is it that you can read minds?"

Jeva is silent for a long time. As the fire dies, she can sense that Izhiun is beginning to feel the chill of the night air. She rolls over into his arms. "Normally I need to touch people in order to dig into their memories, but ever since you were born I have been able to see into your mind. Even before you were born. I came all the way around Luk'ru to find you. Now that I have touched you, I know that your mind is a fire. When we stop touching I grow cold."

Puzzled, Izhiun speculates. "Somehow this planet knew that I would come into existence...be born on this world. Everything has been arranged to send me on this quest, to direct me to Muzizu. Something linked my mind to yours."

Jeva agrees, "Yes, this was all anticipated by the Ancients. They knew the time would come when Luk'ru would have to send an...emissary to Earth. Somehow I am needed for that great mission to Earth."

"But you do not know what your role will be?"

"I can see part of it by reading what you saw on the metal plates of Zaachil. I think I am destined to merge with you, to place my mind inside you."

Not entirely surprised by that idea, for a while Izhiun thought about the implications of his entire life having been foreseen. He wondered out loud, "What would happen to you, your body, if you placed your mind in my body?" He left unspoken an additional question: And what would happen to me?

"We of Luk'ru seldom die. One cause of death is when a body loses its mind. My body will die when I send my mind into your body. You're mind will be safe. I will ride in your body like a passenger on a boat."

"Why? For what purpose?"

"You will discover the reason. At some point in your future you will be near another body, a host for my mind, and at that moment my mind will cross over into that other body."

"When? Who will be  the owner of that body?"

"I do not know answers to your questions. We will have to discover the answers together."

"When will it happen? When will you move inside me?"

"All day since we met I've tried, but I don't know how to do it. The Ancients will know."

Izhiun did not bother to speak: But aren't the Ancients all dead?

"Yes, but they still remember. You should not fear death. The Ancients now continue to exist as artificial life forms. They will merge us then we will go to Earth."

The Ancient

After two more long days of walking Izhiun and Jeva reached the city of Muzizu, high above the headwaters of the Za river. It was growing dark, but Izhiun could see a large fire burning. Jeva said, "An Ancient is waiting for us."

Out before them, as though emerging from a shadow, another voice spoke in the Zini language, "Come join me by the fire." Then just as suddenly, the Ancient could be seen. She turned and led the way into the common space between a set of teepees at the edge of the city.

With a king of melting motion the Ancient settled on the ground next to the fire and gestured to some waiting food. "I have food for you, dear Izhiun."

Izhiun sat on a log and began to eat. Jeva stood next to the Ancient and asked, "May I touch you?" The Ancient nodded and allowed Jeva to place her hands against the skin of the Ancient. After a moment, Jeva turned and sat down next to Izhiun. "I can't read the thoughts of the Ancient."

The Ancient laughed and explained. "It would not be wise to let you see into your own future."

Jeva asked, "But you can see our thoughts?"

The Ancient explained, "I am your thoughts. I took this physical form to provide you with a familiar target for our communications." The Ancient flickered and winked out, but her "voice" continued to enter into the minds of Jeva and Izhiun, "Or would you prefer that I communicate in this fashion?"

Izhiun replied, "Jeva might not care, but for my benefit, please remain with me as a physical entity."

The body of the Ancient re-appeared beside the fire. Speaking to Izhiun, the Ancient said, "Yes, Jeva is a special case. Tomorrow we will pull her mind out of its shell and place her into your shell. Then you will be ready to go to Earth."

As the last light of day left the rim of the sky, the Ancient's body seemed to glow with a faint inner light. Izhiun asked, "Every one seems to know that I must go to Earth. However, I am not convinced. From what my mother says of Earth, I wonder why anyone would want to go to that world."

The Ancient gave a gentle shrug of the shoulders. "You grandmother eagerly went to Earth."

Izhiun asked with surprise, "Kach? Kach is on Earth?"

The Ancient's head slowly shook from side to side. "No, she is held prisoner on Earth's Moon."

"Prison? What prison?"

"There is much for you to learn. First, the mind merging. Then you will be off among the stars. The journey to Earth will be a convenient time for you to learn about the fate of Kach and how you can rescue her and send her back to Parthney." The Ancient quietly faded away like a wisp of camp fire smoke. The Ancient's voice said, "The mountain nights of High Muzizu are very cold, Izhiun. Use the teepee that is behind you."

Izhiun satisfied his hunger then walked hand-in-hand with Jeva into the teepee where they spent the last night of her existence together.

Most of the time I simply say "Exode Trilogy", but for this blog post I want to emphasize the fact that within the Exodemic Fictional Universe a story must deal with how we lowly humans of Earth confront knowledge of the Huaoshy, the "ancient aliens" who have been visiting Earth for billions of years.

Previously, I've imagined that the Huaoshy have existed for "only" about a billion years, but during the past year, I've had to change my thinking about some key aspects of history. The timeline that I constructed back in 2013 (twice) needs to be updated again so as to reflect new information that has been obtained by Angela and Ivory.

Reminder: this timeline is for the Buld Reality, the universe as we know it. Some of the key events are due to the arrival of time travelers from the previous Reality (the Ekcolir Reality), and I've marked those in green, below. Time travel events within the Buld Reality are marked red. The key event by which Grean initiates the Ekcolir Reality is marked in blue.

~2.5 billion YBP. The original biological species that gave rise to what we Earthlings know as the Huaoshy first developed technology for faster-than-light travel. Their home galaxy was far, far away from Earth. Not much later, the Huaoshy transcended their biological nature and began a new existence as a form of artificial life in the Sedronic Domain.

~ 2.0 billion YBP. The pek reach our galaxy. The pek are an advanced artifcial life tool of the Huaoshy, so when I say that the Huaoshy "have been visiting Earth", that means that the pek visited Earth. About two billion years ago the pek began engineering terrestrial planets (such as Rain World, see below) of the galactic core for use as "incubators" of sapient species that arise on the Earth-like worlds of the galaxy.

~7,000,000 YBP. In the Andromeda galaxy, the pek revealed themselves to the Nereids. The Nereids had by then already existed for several million years as a non-technological sapient species on their metal-poor home world and had only recently developed a space-faring civilization.

At about the same time, the pek began taking special interest in the primates of Earth. Some early human/chimp ancestors were taken from Earth to Rain World. The pek began experimenting with how to biologically transform an ape into a life form that could transcend its physical existence in three dimensional space and become an artificial life form existing in the higher dimensional Sedronic Domain.

At this time (about 7 million years ago) other biological species in our galaxy such as the Fruthwa (see below) have already long been "domesticated" by the pek.

~6,000,000 YBP. The initial interstellar civilization of the Fru'wu that had spread out from the home world Reahand was destroyed by a self-inflicted technological disaster involving their primitive nanotechnology. The biological species that originated on Reahand and gave rise to the Fru'wu is called the "Fruthwa", but humans have had no contact with the Fruthwa since that species was extinct long before humans existed. The Huaoshy had preserved some domesticated Fruthwa on worlds of the galactic core. What we Earthlings know as the Fru'wu were actually derived from a variant of the original Fruthwa; a subspecies that evolved further on the the planet Clutence.

By this time (six million years ago), the Nereids had transformed themselves into artificial lifeforms that existed within the Sedronic Domain, but their artificial life creation, the nanorobotic Grendels, had by then given rise to an important new faction of the Interventionists.  The Grendels began having Interventionist contact with some of the Fru'wu. In general, humans have only ever had contact with Grendels, so in the timeline below, mention of "Nereids" should be thought of as meaning "Nereids acting through their agents, the Grendels".

724,000 YBP. Some early humans were taken from Rain World and cultured on Hemmal, another world of the galactic core. Creation of the hermaphroditic Prelands begins. By the present time, the biology of the Prelands has been radically transformed by the pek and they are nearly ready to be moved to Earth as a replacement for we Earthlings.

200,000 YBP. Needing a tool that will allow them to infiltrate and defeat the Eternals, the Huaoshy begin to develop the Kac'hin, a human variant that can be used like humanoid puppets by the Huaoshy. Captain Hooski is one of the Kac'hin who appear in The Foundations of Eternity. The Kac'hin are developed on the planet Luk'ru, a world that later becomes the home of Hana and Boswei and their children. By 150,000 YBP the Kac'hin development project is mostly complete.  Only further refinement of the special ability of the Kac'hin to link into the Sedronic Domain is attempted on Luk'ru. Some Kac'hin are sent to live on Rain World. Later, Tar'tron becomes the main Kac'hin world and it is there that the Kac'hin "selfies" are developed.

~80,000 YBP. Delphys Ghreanamar, a hermaphroditic Kac'hin, lives on Rain World. Wyzalex Torvaya, a female Kac'hin, lives in the same time period. Much later, Grean, a clone of Delphys, plays an important role in shaping the Buld Reality. Similarly, Kach and Lycaun are two clones of Wyzalex who live in our time.

Trysta and Ekcolir

~40,000 YBP. The Nereids help establish a faction of Fru'wu rebels on a hidden (within the Hierion Domain) world of the galactic core (known to Earthlings as Klyz). Those Fru'wu were able to maintain independence from the pek right up to the present time, although some of their agents were occasionally captured by the pek. Starting about this time, there were some early interactions between the Nereids, the Fru'wu and the Buld. These Fru'wu were all hybrid lifeforms with some biological components and some nanorobotic elements. The Nereids monitored events on Earth and occasionally they managed to work through the Fru'wu and the Buld and helped bring a human from the galactic core to Earth. However, there were Overseers stationed at Observer Base on the Moon who prevented Interventionists from interfering much with the course of events on Earth.

At about this time, Grean arrived from the future of an earlier Reality and began the creation of another human variant, the Ek'col, on Rain World. The Ek'col males were designed to be reproductively compatible with Asterothrope females.

From this time onward, there was also a fairly large population of "liberated" Fru'wu in the Andromeda galaxy. This group of Fru'wu had been taken there from our galaxy by the Nereids. To facilitate interactions with the Buld, the Nereids also moved some Fru'wu to the planet Clu'ten'iun.

~20,000 YBP. Ekcolir, a modified human (an Ek'col) from the galactic core in the Ekcolir Reality who had been brought to Earth as an Interventionist agent, arrives in the Buld Reality from the future. He lives among a group Earthlings near the end of the last glacial maximum and passes his Preland genes into the human gene pool of Earth. For that crime, he is captured by Overseers and taken to Observer Base on the Moon where he completes his mission to the past by preventing the development of positronic robots. At about the same time, the pek allow the Fru'wu rebels to make it possible for some Buld to transform themselves into the Pla, a group of rebel Buld.

~15,000 YBP. The Fru'wu provide the Pla with the location of Earth. A Buld spaceship, traveling close to the speed of light, begins a journey from the galactic core to Earth which will take about 15,000 years.

Syon

~10,000 YBP. Trysta arrives from the future and lives among a group of Earthlings near the Black Sea who have retained Preland genes that originated from Ekcolir's intervention into Earth history about 10,000 years previously. Trysta helps these Earthlings develop a written language and learn to read and write. Noÿs talked to these primitives about her origins and describe to them the far future of Earth and the danger of sea level rise from melting ice caps. Trysta's time in the neolithic coincide with a dramatic Black Sea filling event, which combined with her explanations of glacial ice melt contributed to the popularity of flood myths on Earth.

Luri

Trysta helps the Fru'wu establish their first teleportation terminal on Earth. When her work on Earth is done, Trysta is teleported to Klyz where she transfers her advanced Asterothrope nanites from the far future of the Mallansohn Reality into a primitive Fru'wu robot, allowing Trysta to have a "second life" as the artificial life form known as Syon. The Interventionist agents of the Pla later started working on Earth with robotic assistants containing "Trysta nanites". The pek collect some nanites from Trysta and use them in their human breeding program to perfect the Ek'col and phenotypically craft them into their final human form.

~2,000 YBP. Thrukta, a "Thomas clone" carries out his mission on Earth. His main mission on Earth is to assist in the shift of cultural momentum from the Mediterranean towards northwestern Europe. He teleports Luri to Klyz. Luri eventually has an important influence on Earth through her work at Space Energy Missions (see below).

~1,500 YBP. Rathuf, a "Thomas clone" carries out his mission on Earth. Stationed in England, he helps bring advanced technologies like glass manufacturing to England. He teleports Rotharkin to Klyz. While in training under Oib, Rathuf meets Luri, who seems to have an elastic personality. In fact, "Luri" is two people: one a newly instantiated copy of the original biological woman while the other "copy" is an artificial life form, designed to resemble the original. Only after their arrival on Earth does Rathuf learn that his partner in adventure is the artificial Luri.

Rathuf

~750 YBP. King Henry III's daughter Katherine is teleported off of Earth when her unusual interaction with Earth's nanites is noticed. She lives out her life at the Urgark training base in the Koly star system and helps train Humget for his mission to Earth (~ the year 1270).

Syon runs a primitive scientific laboratory at Urgark where she trains Katherine in the principles of metallurgy, steam power and coal-fired furnaces. Katherine and Humget meet at Urgark when they are about 12 years old. Since they have never before known other humans, they grow up experimenting socially with each other as well as learning how to make guns and cannons. A thousand years later, Parthney is not pleased when he learns of the role of Humget in the death of Llywelyn.

~500 YBP. Lendhalen is established as the last in a series of Pla training bases for Interventionist agents. Syon is present at Lendhalen and arranges to have an efficient training program in place for Parthney. The "magnetic pulse" method that is used to inactivate pek nanites has no effect on the "Trysta nanites" that are inside Syon.

Jane Grey is one of the first Earthlings who is brought to Lendhalen. Rechmain is the first "Thomas clone" trained at Lendhalen for a mission to Earth.

1910. Deomede is born on Hemmal. He is later trained at Lendhalen and teleported to Earth. Deomede is the Buld Reality analog of Ekcolir.

1936. Trysta arrives from the future and meets Deomede. They have a daughter, Gwyned (born 1939) and then a son, Andy.

1940. Thomas arrives in the Buld Reality from the future. Born in the Ekcolir Reality, he was the son of Trysta and Ekcolir. He carries nanites of several types that provide Thomas with an unusual collection of memories, including some from the Isaac Asimov of the Foundation Reality. Thomas transfers his nanites into John Campbell. This allows Campbell to help the Asimov of the Buld Reality start writing science fiction stories that are based on events from the Foundation Reality. Without the nanites in his brain, Thomas needs intensive psychiatric care during the 1940s.

Gwyned

1949. Thomas retrieves his nanites from Campbell. Thomas develops close friendships with Janet Jeppson and his writing becomes known to Asimov. Ideas from Thomas help stimulate Asimov to write The End of Eternity and to develop his interest in global warming.

1964. After working to develop alternatives to fossil fuels, Gwyned is teleported off of Earth by Deomede. She arrives first at Klyz and then moves on to Lendhalen. She tries to understand the advanced technologies that are available to the Buld including teleportation and the robot assistants of Lendhalen. She is not allowed to remain consciously aware of the fact that Syon carries advanced nanites that originated with her mother, Trysta.

1965. Parthney arrives at Demon Lodge on Hemmal. He meets Yandrey and begins to learn about Earth as a real planet, the home of Humanity, rather than a place of legend.

Yandre

1967. Parthney arrives at Lendhalen for training as an Interventionist agent on Earth. Gwyned and Parthney both suspect that there is more to Syon than meets the eye. Syon has a physical appearance that reminds Gwyned of her mother and Syon tells Gwyned that she has 10,000 year old memories of Trysta from the time when Trysta first arrived at Klyz. Parthney is impressed by Gwyned's knowledge of Earth and advanced technologies.

Katherine and Humget

When Parthney stops his training with the expectation that Gwyned should be the one to go to Earth, Syon convinces Parthney that he is the one who must go to Earth. Parthney asks Syon about Trysta and the robot suddenly and mysteriously delivers a message from Trysta: "Thomas, remember to meet Izhiun on the mall". This is the last time that Syon acts outside of the normal behavioral pattern for the robots of Lendhalen. Gwyned asks Parthney to look for her mother (Trysta) and a mysterious half-brother (Thomas; who Gwyned has never met) when he reaches Earth.

In addition to his interactions with Syon and Gwyned while in training at Lenhalen, Parthney also receives information about conditions on Earth from Luri, Jane, Katherine and Rotharkin.

Grean and Delpha

1970. [From the Asimov Reality, Grean is passaged through the "Eternity" time bubble on the Moon and then sent back through time, first to ~200,000 YBP to begin development of the Kac'hin then to ~40,000 YBP to initiate development of the Ek'col (see above). This creates the Ekcolir Reality]

Betty

1971. From within the Buld Reality, Trysta travels back in time to 10,000 YBP (see above). Before this final time travel event, working with Grean, Trysta gets a chance to look into the future of the Buld Reality. She confirms that the desired future is becoming increasingly more likely. Also, in the guise of "Aunt Mayness", Trysta makes sure that The Editor is able to read a copy of Thomas' book The Miners of Earth.

After Trysta travels back in time, the Huaoshy initiate a shift in the dimensional structure of the universe which makes time travel impossible. In the Buld Reality, Parthney and Luri are teleported to Earth where he meets Deomede and the robotic assistant Betty. Deomede tells Parthney that Trysta is gone, but they begin searching for Thomas.

Trysta & Ekcolir

1972. [From the Ekcolir Reality, Ekcolir (the Interventionist analog of Deomede) is passaged through the "Eternity" time bubble on the Moon and then sent back through time about 20,000 years to initiate the Buld Reality.]

1973. [In the Ekcolir Reality, Thomas was kept inside the time travel device on the Moon during the time when the Ekcolir Reality was changed into the Buld Reality by Ekcolir. Thomas was then sent back to 1940 of the Buld Reality (see above).]

1974. [Trysta, who originated in the Mallansohn Reality and lived on Earth through much of the 20th century, is passaged through the "Eternity" time bubble on the Moon and then sent back through time from 1974 in the Ekcolir Reality to 1936 in the Buld Reality (see above).] Trysta lives through much of the 20th century again, this time in the Buld Reality, until 1971 (see above).

1977. Parthney's search for Thomas is mostly futile, but the trail of people who have known Thomas and have corresponded with him leads Parthney to Janet and Isaac Asimov. Isaac Asimov digs out an old manuscript from Thomas: a "fantasy story" about a man named Izhiun who meets some mysterious "Buld" who appear on Earth in the year 2012.

In 1977 Asimov attends a science fiction mini-convention at the Triversity. He meets Peter, Thomas and "the Editor".

Asimov never took seriously the idea that "Daveed the Luk'ie" should be published because it was written like some kind of spoof of Asimov's science fiction style. Of course, Asimov is unaware that some events in the story are based on what Trysta saw while looking into the future from her perspective in the Ekcolir Reality when she was viewing alternative Realities and making plans with Grean for establishing the Buld Reality. Janet is not able to say much since Thomas was her patient for many years, however she tells Parthney that Thomas believed that his "science fantasy story" about the Buld was not fiction, that events would actually happen as described in the "story". Asimov has only corresponded with Thomas. Janet further mystifies Parthney by asking him, "Is Thomas your brother?" At that time, Parthney does not know that he is a clone of Thomas.

Trysta views
Realities

Before traveling back through time, Trysta arranged for Thomas to give a presentation at a SciFi "convention" being held on a university campus. Thomas talks about his science fiction, including The Miners of Earth, but he mysteriously disappears right after the talk.

1980. Deomede tells Parthney that he will test the idea that the Overseers can now detect teleportation events. He gives Parthney his list of contacts among the Earthlings in case he is captured. He is captured by Overseers shortly after he teleports an Earthling to Klyz.

1984. Parthney has come to believe that one of Deomede's contacts, Hana, might be the "Hana" mentioned in Thomas' "story" about Izhiun and the Buld. Parthney has discovered that Hana has been having "email" communications with Thomas by means of messages sent over CSNET. The man on Earth who meets the arriving Buld spaceship is described in the "story" as, "Izhiun, son of Hana, born in the Andromeda galaxy." The story describes Hana as having been born on Earth.

Klyz

Parthney teleports Hana off of Earth and soon he is captured by an Overseer and taken to the Moon. Hana has a daughter, Hilde, who is six years old when Hana leaves Earth.

Thomas, having been warned by Trysta to watch carefully when Parthney is captured, uses his nanites to sneak into Observer Base right after Parthney is taken in.

Thomas and Parthney confirm that Observer Base is being phased out in preparation for the arrival of the Buld spaceship. They make use of the hierion-based communications equipment at Observer Base to contact the Buld spaceship which has now dropped below light speed on approach to Earth. Thomas uses the teleportation terminal at Observer Base to send Parthney back to Klyz. Thomas takes the place of Parthney as a prisoner of the Overseers and the swap goes undetected since they are genetically identical.

Kach

1985. The Fru'wu at Klyz want to send a human delegation to the Andromeda galaxy to make contact with the Nereids. Believing that Parthney was responsible for the death of her husband, Hana refuses to work with Parthney.

1987. Kach and her son Boswei leave Hemmal and go with Parthney to the Andromeda Galaxy. Hana, Muchlo and Steph go along.

Hilde

1991. Hana and Boswei settle on Luk'ru in the Andromeda galaxy. Their son Izhiun is born.

1998. Kach goes to Earth on a mission to contact the secret Nereid agent who is on Earth. She is captured by the Overseers and taken to Observer Base. Kach meets Thomas who is still living at Observer Base.

2001. Hilde contacts the man who she believes might be her father. She passes along what she has been able to learn from her contacts at Space Energy Missions. The Editor begins to write Exodemic.

2011. Izhiun arrives on Earth with a clone of Kach, Lycaun. According to the arrangement that was made between Trysta and the Huaoshy, the Nereids are supposed to stop interfering with Earth. The Overseers try to capture the secret Nereid agent on Earth. To the Overseers, it looks like Kach was killed in the raid, but Kach is teleported back to Klyz. Izhiun contacts Hana's husband who is still living on Earth.

2012. The Buld spaceship makes a quick visit to Earth. The existing Overseers retire. The Nereids agree to back off and work through the Buld to indirectly influence events on Earth. The Buld know that the Earthlings need a clean, safe energy source.

Foundations of Eternity

  Izhiun meets the Buld at the Washington Monument and obtains instructions for how to build an energy receiver that will collect energy transmitted by hierions from a solar energy collection station that the Buld can put on Mercury. Izhiun finds Hana's daughter, Hilde, and learns that her company (Space Energy Missions, including people like Luri) is designing a solar energy facility that can be easily converted to receive energy from Mercury.

The Huaoshy make the remaining Observers on the Moon into the next Overseers, but they begin operating under a new set of rules that allows Earth to receive some technological assistance from the Buld. Hana's husband begins placing the Exode story on the internet. Izhiun and Hilde leave Earth and they go with the Buld to start constructing the solar energy collector on Mercury.

The Atlantis Clones

Thomas returns to Earth from the Moon and gives up his nanites, wishing to end his life living as a "normal" Earthling. Thomas and Izhiun deposits their "information nanites" with "the Editor". Ivory contacts "the Editor" and they begin a collaborative effort to make sense of the secret history of Earth. It soon becomes clear that Angela's ability to use the Bimanoid Interface can allow "the Editor" to decode the information provided by Thomas and Izhiun.

2013. Working together, Angela, Ivory and "the Editor" begin to make sense of the Reality Chain that led to the universe as we know it.
