From the Cutting Room Floor - Artificial Covers

 I'm continuing to use both DALL-E and Wombo Dream to help make illustrations for the Mosy Saga. One of the key issues in the Mosy Saga concerns how the Ekcolir Reality was transformed into the Buld Reality by means of a Reality Change. The Buld Reality is essentially the world as we know it. Earthly civilization in the Ekcolir Reality was significantly different than in the version of Earth that we know.

Eventually, after the Buld Reality was crafted, the Huaoshy put an end to all further time travel. However, the Mosy Saga takes place in the Ekcolir Reality, while time travel and Reality Changes were still possible.

 Cover Illustrations. How can an entire Reality be represented by a single image? In the Ekcolir Reality, women played a more important role in the development of science and space travel technology than was the case in our own twentieth century. Also, there was first contact with space aliens in the 1950s.

In a 1984 essay called "Metaphor", Isaac Asimov once wrote an interesting account of a science fiction cover illustration that (see the cover here), while not showing an actual scene from the story, did manage to capture the essence of the story. In the same way, Figure 1 does not really have anything to do with the Ekcolir Reality. Worse, the idea of steam-powered space ships is quite silly. The AI-generate image for Figure 1 was made using the "Steampunk v2" style of Wombo Dream.

Figure 2 is an alternate version of Figure 1, which is not meant to imply that in contrast to the Ekcolir Reality, here in the Buld Reality we need computers to make space travel possible. Maybe in the Ekcolir Reality, the computing devices are simply artistically disguised and made to look like antique machinery from a past age. In any case, I'm trying to imagine a good imaginary book cover for the Mosy Saga and a single image that depicts the essence of the story.

 Bard in the Steampunk Era. I wanted to ask Bard to comment on the idea of steampunk spacecraft and how well Mr. Wombo can depict a steampunk scene (such as Figure 1), but Bard still refuses to accept uploaded images that include humans. I transformed the image that I wanted to share with Bard into one that has robots, not humans. Here is what Bard had to say about the image to the right: "Yes, I can see how this AI-generated image could be interpreted as a steampunk spaceship interior. The robots are wearing steampunk clothing, which is a style of clothing that was popular in the steampunk era. The spaceship also has a clock on the wall, which is a common feature of steampunk spaceships.  The robots are wearing goggles and leather and they have brass accents on their bodies. The clock on the wall is large and ornate, with gears and cogs visible.  Overall, the image has a dark and industrial feel to it. This is consistent with the steampunk aesthetic, which often combines Victorian era technology with steam power."

 Built from Nanites. After my chat with Bard, I returned to my original image of a steampunk spaceship interior and I decided to keep one of the two robots. For the Mosy Saga, I have replicoids, which are artificial lifeforms composed of nanites, but conceptually they are similar to robots. Replicoids can re-arrange their nanite components and take on any convenient form, so it is often not possible to know if a character in the Mosy Saga is a biological human or a replicoid who pretending to be human.

In the Ekcolir Reality, there is First Contact with the alien Fru'wu in the 1950s and then the Fru'wu share some of their advanced nanotechnology with Earthlings. The Fru'wu are mentioned in some of my stories such as Grean Fiction and Someday Mars. In the Final Reality (the world of our Earthly timeline), the Fru'wu are not allowed to accelerate the pace of technological progress on Earth.

Starting with Figure 2 (see above) I added another human figure to my reference image and tried to trick Mr. Wombo into making the two human figures seem to be doing something interesting. Sadly, Mr. Wombo prefers to draw images of cute women just standing around looking cute. The idea that a woman might do something interesting is a foreign concept to Mr. Wombo.

In Part 4 of the Mosy Saga, it is mentioned that one of the tasks for Caz on Tar'tron was to provide sex education for her students such as Symyn. Before allowing Symyn to engage in sexplay with Qyp, Caz wanted to first be sure that Symyn had some sexual sophistication. As an Ek'col, Qyp had powerful telepathic abilities, including the power to make the mind pattern of Symyn resonate with his own. During such periods of mind resonance, Qyp could telepathically cause a human woman such as Symyn to have orgasms... simply by telepathically suggesting it.

 Caz Control (Cazation). Also mentioned in Part 4 of the Mosy Saga is the idea that while Symyn and Thylon were going to school on Tar'tron, it was unusual for anyone in the women's dorm to be sleeping alone. Sexual relationships between men and women were carefully regulated by Caz, but Symyn and Thylon had a seemingly endless string of female lovers.

Growing up together on Tar'tron, Symyn and Thylon were aware of the fact that they were tasked with finding the most suitable male Ek'col to join them on their Interventionist mission to Earth. Knowing that Symyn had very weak telepathic powers and was most susceptible to the telepathic mind powers of Ek'col males, Thylon allowed Symyn to take full responsibility for selecting their future husband. The task was complicated by the fact that in the social system of Tar'tron, there were no husbands, no wives and no long-lasting sexual partnerships.

 50-50. One of the advanced technologies of Tar'tron that was available to Symyn and Thylon was reproductive technology that allowed them to have children together, producing children who had half of their genes from Symyn and half from Thylon.

 Mind Clones. Caz never bothered to explain to Symyn and Thylon that they were genetically designed so as to be mind clones of Qyp. This meant that half of the brains of both Symyn and Thylon were almost identical in structure to one half of Qyp's brain. 

Because Symyn and Thylon were mind clones of Qyp, Qyp could efficiently use his Ek'col telepathic abilities to make sure that his mind pattern could fully resonate with the mind patterns of Symyn and Thylon.

Qyp was reluctant to use his telepathic powers to influence the behavior of Symyn. He had to wait until Caz stepped in and encouraged Symyn to spend some time in physical contact with Qyp. Synym's limited telepathic ability allowed her to sense that Qyp had access to her mind, which initially made her uneasy. Given that mostly unconscious sense of dysphoria, Symyn sought out other playmates and ignored Qyp for many years. This was a good thing, because it allowed Synym to have a healthy understanding of her own lustful emotions before ever having her sexual desires amplified telepathically by Qyp.

Up until the time when Caz brought Synym and Qyp together, both Symyn and Thylon were mostly involved with their fellow female students. 

 The More the Merrier. By custom at their school, most sexual trysts between males and females took place in the school classrooms (which were well-stocked with sex toys) and those sexplay sessions traditionally involved groups of four or more lovers. It was unusual for males and females to be alone together. Even when meeting at lovers point, a short distance down the shore from school, usually there would be multiple couples present and engaged in sex play within close proximity of one another. The idea of privacy for sexplay sessions was an unknown concept for Symyn and Thylon while growing up on Tar'tron.

 Endosymbionts.. Figure 3 (above) began as part of an attempt to illustrate a scene in which Caz would demonstrate to Symyn the fact that by proper activation of a human's endosymbiont, a person could be forced to experience an orgasm. I wanted Caz to be holding a device which she could pretend to use to provide Symyn with an orgasm. In reality, Caz could use nanites to quickly make Symyn experience one or more orgasms, but Caz was trying to limit how much her students knew about nanotechnology.

Mr. Wombo does not like to create images that are to sexually provocative. For Figure 3, I manually altered the original AI-generated image so as to depict Symyn handing a fun toy to Thylon. Using Figure 3 as a reference image and this text prompt: "high resolution movie still of Megan Fox and Elle Macpherson in the science fiction film 'Women in Space', Megan Fox is twenty five years old, Elle Macpherson is blond, Megan Fox and Elle Macpherson are seen in profile view, dressed Victoria's Secret style in silk, Megan Fox is holding a toy, spaceship interior in the background", Mr. Wombo produced toys such as the ones shown in Figure 4.

Also mentioned in Part 4 of the Mosy Saga is the fact that Symyn spends much of her time playing sports. Some of the sports on Tar'tron involve hunting and using tools such as bows and arrows. It is annoying that when Mr. Wombo makes an image for a scene that is related to sports, the people usually have to wear clothing with obnoxious brand labels plastered on them. 

The clothing on Tar'tron is all automatically generated by clothing nanites, but I suppose there could be the names of teams on the "uniforms". I was tempted to turn the image to the left into a zero gravity sport scene, but I suppose the use of artificial gravity was routine for the folks of Tar'tron when in orbit.

Zero Gravity Sports. I asked DALL-E to make an image depicting "high resolution movie still of two floating women dressed in civilian clothes playing ping pong in micro-gravity inside a space station in the film '2100: A Space Odyssey', zero gravity" and got the image shown to the right.

Starting with a similar image from DALL-E, I asked Mr. Wombo to generate "high resolution movie still of floating women dressed Victoria's Secret style playing ping pong in micro-gravity inside a space station in the film "2100: A Space Odyssey", zero gravity sport, Katrine De Candole, Megan Fox, Elle Macpherson and Kate Moss are twenty years old, Elle Macpherson is floating upside-down in the background" (see the image above, Space Balls).

 Figure 5 shows a depiction of Symyn while she is experiencing a rather long-lasting and mind-blowing nanite-induced orgasm as part of her sex education on Tar'tron. (Note: there is a sequence of related images at the very bottom of the second blog post in this series.) Caz is using nanites to exercise complete control over Synym's sensations.

Originally, the whirlpool in the background was just an astronomical feature invented by Mr. Wombo, then I imagined that it represented nanites spreading out from a hand-held device. Here is the text prompt that was used by Mr. Wombo to generate Figure 5: "high resolution movie still of Megan Fox and Elle Macpherson in the science fiction film “Women in Space”, Megan Fox is fifteen years old, Elle Macpherson is blond, Elle Macpherson is seen in profile view, dressed Victoria's Secret style in red silk, Elle Macpherson is holding a remote control device, spaceship interior in the background".

 What can I do to put you in a new car today? Second only to Mr. Wombo's horrible struggles with human anatomy is the problem that the image training set endlessly constrains which images the software will "naturally" generate. I often find myself trying to create a science fiction scene (such as the interior of a spaceship) and then suddenly Mr. Wombo will decide to replace the Hi Tek™ devices of the future space age with an automobile. I'm sure that there are many automobiles in the image database that was used to train Mr. Wombo, but I don't want them inside my spaceship.

 Figure 6 (to the left) provides an example of how what was originally the interior of a futuristic spaceship in orbit around the mysterious planet Tar'tron was suddenly transformed into a car dealership by Mr. Wombo. But, let's go with it... maybe Synym needs a space car so that she can efficiently complete her mission on Tar'tron.

An example of Mr. Wombo's unusual designs for human anatomy is shown to the right. The woman with the golden clothing suddenly has an extra hand emerging from her leg.

It is also common for Mr. Wombo to struggle with hands and fingers. In the image to the left there are two extra-long fingers. Maybe that is a special feature of some human variants in the far future world of Tar'tron.

Some of the goofy anatomy generated by Mr. Wombo can be quickly repaired by manual editing of a small part of the image. In other cases, the entire image is irreparable. It is quite rare for me to get an image from Mr. Wombo that I can use without having to do some editing.

8 Toes. Too many toes.
 Too many toes. The image that is shown to the right (8 Toes) provides a good example. Here are the edits that I made to the original AI-generated image: 1) I zoomed in and had Mr. Wombo re-generate the two faces at higher resolution and then I pasted those better faces back into the original image, 2) I manually cleaned up the girl's hands and the mom's right foot, including the reflection on the floor. I liked this image because of 1) the bright colors that Mr. Wombo used for their pajamas, 2) the highly reflective floor and 3) the interesting background which I could imagine being the wall of a child's room on Tar'tron. However, I did not alter the mother's left foot which was crafted by Mr. Wombo with too many toes. Also, Mr. Wombo avoided having to draw any hands for the mother by linking together her two arms. I have no idea why Mr. Wombo felt the need to put those patches or name tags or what ever they are on the pajamas.

 Kittens to the Rescue. The other issue that I had with the image 8 Toes was that although I like the poses of the two characters, I felt there was something missing. Maybe there should have been a kitten or a small puppy there on the floor. If all else fails, just try to cover-up what Mr. Wombo drew.

In an attempt to deal with the toe problem, I had DALL-E make some images with this text prompt: "a very young and tiny kitten on a dark but highly reflective floor, the reflection of the kitten can be seen in the floor". DALL-E generated four different kittens and I used three of them to modify the original 8 Toes scene (see the image to the left). For this toe cover-up image, I also trimmed the side of the mother's left foot. I did not bother trying to add in hand for the mother.

 Continuing Education. In Part 4 of the Mosy Saga, it is not revealed how long Synym and Thylon resided on the planet Tar'tron. Part 4 of the Mosy Saga is only a glimpse at the time when Synym and Thylon were attending the equivalent of what we might call "college". Although sex education was an important part of the formal education of Synym and Thylon on Tar'tron, I suppose they had ample opportunity to continue studying their own sexual responses after completing their college years.

"We can do this... together."

 From Tar'tron With Love. The fundamental constraint on the type of telepathy that Qyp and Thylon have is that they can only telepathically link to the minds of other individuals with whom they share a powerful sexual attraction. This is due to a constraint that was built into the Phari endosymbiont. To avoid misuse of telepathy, the human brain was constrained so as to only allow telepathic linkages between people who love each-other.

Both Synym and Thylon develop their capacity to enter into loving relationships by endlessly experimenting with their female friends while growing up. At the dormitories of the schools that Synym and Thylon attend, the most important lessons are often learned outside of the formal classrooms.

In the image shown to the right, Synym and Thylon are completing a homework assignment for one of their many sex education classes. The third woman in this scene is their tutor who is evaluating the ability of Synym and Thylon to work as a team, knowledge that they will eventually apply on Earth when they are the wives of Zule

The clones of Synym and Thylon on Earth (Potina and Tara) will both be quite busy with their "careers" while living with Zule in Norsum, so usually no more than one of Potina or Tara will be with Zule at any given time. There will be many occasions when both Potina and Tara are away from home and Zule will depend on the Rep for entertainment.

Making plans.
 A 3 Body Problem. The figure to the left shows a young Synym being talked into trying a three body sexplay session. Younger students are advised to only have one sex partner at a time, but eventually the time comes to widen their horizons.

Nanotechnology.

 Infites.
The figure to the right depicts an experiment with nanite-induced orgasms. In the fictional universe of the Mosy Saga, humans are composite organisms composed of both biological cells and endosymbionts that are composed of invisibly small nanites. Some types of human behavior can be modified or controlled by sending infites directly into one of the two human endosymbionts, by-passing the cellular nervous system. I've previously described the challenges of getting Mr. Wombo to visually depict nanites (see also).

The image to the left is another nanotechnology experiment in which Thylon is providing Synym with an exceptional nanite-induced orgasm.

"Who needs men?"

In most cases, advanced nanite technology was not available to residents of Tar'tron such as Thylon and Synym who were being trained for missions on Earth. Most of the time they had to resort to primitive tools to help generate orgasms. 

 In the cockpit. The image to the right shows Synym poised to give a massage to her lover. I like the idea that Thylon and Synym had an aircar for their travels around Tar'tron. Maybe they had their own version of a mile-high club.

Synym was teleported.
 Teleportation. Another alternative for travel on Tar'tron might be teleportation. In the past, I've struggled to find good ways to depict teleportation in a static image. The image to the left was generated by Mr. Wombo after I started using a text prompt that said: "high resolution movie still of Katrine De Candole on a beach looking into an inter-dimensional portal and seeing Megan Fox, Katrine De Candole is very tall and slim, Katrine De Candole has narrow hips, Katrine De Candole is fifteen years old and dressed Victoria’s Secret style in a leather skirt and a silver shirt, Megan Fox has black hair".

When trying to coax Mr. Wombo into generating a suitable image, I did get a few images of Synym wearing sandals, but Mr. Wombo rally likes ladies in boots. It is also hard to make Mr. Wombo stop adorning the women with giant sunglasses in scenes like this one.

Steam-powered teleportation.

I decided to let Mr. Wombo have a try at creating a steampunk teleportation device. In the image to the right, it almost looks like Synym's right arm has started to dematerialize. Here is the text pronpt that I used with the "Steampunk V2" style: "high resolution movie still of a steampunk spaceship interior and a teleportation terminal, Megan Fox is being teleported and is surrounded by sparkling lights, Meg Ryan is looking into the steampunk teleportation beam and looking at Megan Fox, very tall and slim, narrow hips, fifteen years old and dressed Victoria’s Secret style, Meg Ryan is blond". There is another similar steampunk teleportation image here.

The image shown to the left was generated for me when I asked DALL-E for a "steampunk teleportation platform and a steampunk control console for the teleportation system inside a steampunk spaceship".

Working with the background image that was made by DALL-E, I added in two human figures and used Mr. Wombo to generate the image shown to the right. I still struggle to imaging how teleportation could be possible in a steampunk fictional universe, but it looks pretty nice.

The image to the right shows the entire teleportation scene. Since I grew up reading science fiction stories in which everyone assumed that Hi Tek™ devices of the future would be powered by electricity, I'm more comfortable with that approach than I am with steam power.

Potina on Tar'tron

Symyn and Qyp
Below on this page is part 4 of the Mosy Saga. Potina is allowed to recover past memories of her time spent on Tar'tron, near the galactic core, where Potina and Tara were instantiated as humans at a recruitment facility where they had to select the particular Ek'col (Zule) who would got to Earth with them as interventionist agents in Eland.

While on Tar'tron, developmental control nanites are used in order to hide the true physical forms of Zule, Potina and Tara. During their time on Tar'tron, they use the names Qyp, Symyn and Thylon.

I decided to name this chapter of the story "Recruiting Qyp" as part of an effort to explain why sending another Ek'col to Earth was a necessary part of the Mosy intervention. Previously, I made use of Ekcolir as a means of telepathically controlling a special population of Earthlings who lived about 20,000 years ago. The events in parts 1-3 of the Mosy Saga take place more recently on Earth (just about 5,000 years ago).

While Tara was in Zevy's room, Potina and Zule were eager to experiment with the big bed in the master bedroom suite. After a delightful sexplay session, Potina rolled off of the big bed and was immediately surrounded by a group of Rep. The Rep first bathed Potina in a luxurious pool and then Cadya, who was Potina's new personal assistant, showed Potina a glittering suit of clothing and explained, "Here in Norsun, there are some wonderful fabrics that you never knew in Eland."

Potina reached out and felt the glittering silver dress that Cadya was holding. "It looks like metal, but it is wonderfully soft!"

Cadya helped Potina put on the dress and the Rep also let a swarm of infites move from her artificial body into the biological body of Potina. Potina was admiring her reflection in the tall mirror of her dressing room when the infites began releasing old memories into her mind. These were memories form a different instantiation of Potina, one that through the agency of time travel technology was actually in the far future of the Ekcolir Reality.

For the Potina of Norsun on Earth, those infite-generated memories arrived like a dream vision. In her vision of the future, Potina now found her consciousness to be another woman, named Symyn. She was speaking to the dorm matron, Caz. The words flowed from her mouth in a perfectly natural way, but their meaning was a mystery to Potina. Almost instantly, Potina's endosymbiont made an adjustment and began translating the language of Tar'tron into words that Potina could understand. "Some of these boys are impossible to approach."

Caz shook her head and insisted, "Not true. You just don't want to be bothered with the difficult (not impossible) cases, but some men need to be pursued." Caz had looked at Symyn's future and had seen that Symyn was in danger of not completing her mission on Tar'tron. Left to herself, Symyn would end up selecting a less than optimal mate from among the available boys.

At that moment, Caz was using infites to restructure Symyn's mind, forcing her to stop enjoying the luxury of having many friends, both male and female, who wanted to be with her and to engage in sexplay with Symyn. Caz waved a hand and a swirling cloud of clothing nanites remade Symyn's clothing into a new form: a shimmering two-piece silver gown that clasped tightly to Symyn's slim hips and her small breasts. Then, almost at once, the glistening top began to expand as the nanites morked carefully to simulated a significant enlargement of Symyn's breasts. Caz said, "Your date enjoys the sight of big breasts."

 Symyn was an athlete who spent most of her time participating in simulated hunts and other demanding sports. Feeling the weight of her fake breasts increasing, Symyn muttered, "Ug, don't weigh me down with a lot of fat."

Caz assured Symyn, "Fear not. These breasts are disposable." The swarming clothing nanites finally finished crafting a pair of silver boots on Symyn's feet. Now the nanites had settled into a stable configuration, although they could shift their assembled patter again upon receiving the proper command signals from someone like Caz. The students such as Symyn were aware of nanotechnology, but not trained in how to control nanites.

Symyn placed her hands on her breasts and experimentally bounced them. "My date?" Symyn had been in bed and having oral sex with two of her girl friends (and had planned to spend the whole night in that fashion) when she had been rudely summoned to the matron Caz's office at this late hour.

"I invited Qyp to go for a walk with you this evening. He's almost here. Just take him for a long walk along the shore."

Symyn knew Qyp as a quiet boy who seemed to spend all of his time in the music department. There was a knock at the door and Qyp came into matron Caz's office through the open doorway. Symyn noticed that Qyp was quite tall, the top of his head barely fitting under the top of the door frame, as if the door had been designed with his great height in mind. Qyp was wearing a flashy golden jacket and carried a big bouquet of fragrant flowers. He ignored Caz and spoke directly to Symyn, "Are you ready to go..." His eyes shifted briefly to Caz... "or is our date cancelled?" Qyp handed the flowers to Symyn.

Symyn went to the matron's big, complex desk and tossed the flowers down in front of Caz. Symyn looked into the matron's eyes and tried to ignore the sly grin that was on her lips. Symyn sensed that she was expected to go with Qyp. Symyn turned away from Caz and two strides of her long legs brought her back to Qyp. She threaded and arm through his, turned him around and led him out of the office.

Qyp asked, "You did not like the flowers?"

Symyn was trying to suppress her anger directed at Caz for having secretly and without warning set up this data. She told Qyp, "The flowers are beautiful. Thank you for the gift. Caz will enjoy them. She deserves something for her scheming."

Qyp said, "I hope you are not being punished by the matron."

Symyn laughed. "And as punishment I must take you out?"

Already they were on the back steps of the administration building. The gentle sound of the nearby surf could be heard. "I can't imagine why else you would ask me out. I was quite surprised by your invitation and the adorable little poem that you wrote."

Symyn squeezed his arm. "You're an artist, so I'll excuse your fantasy." She tugged him down the slope towards the beach. "It was Caz who wrote the poem and arranged for this evening stroll along the beach."

"Really? I suppose I should have known. Sadly, Caz is opaque in the face of my telepathic probings."

"Anyhow, I do think you are cute, but when I'm near to you I can sense your mind... I'm a bit afraid of you... so I have not wanted to be alone with you."

They stood at the edge of the sand. Qyp nodded. "Most girls feel that way about me. I still don't understand why Caz has brought two telepathic girls here for her little experiment. Thylon has quite impressive telepathic powers... for someone who is not an Ek'col."

A group of other students was a hundred yards up the beach to their left. Dark figures flickered against the glowing fire light. Qyp tugged Symyn in the other direction. Symyn kicked off her boots and then they moved to the firmer wet sand near the water's edge. The sky was a mosaic of thin clouds and the blazing stars of the galactic core. He squeezed her hand and said, "Lucky for me, I don't have to think. You are very cute. I love the way you walk... like you walk on the air." He pulled her hand up to his lips and kissed her hand.

Symyn said, "We'll walk out to lovers point and then return to the dorm. Caz will be satisfied that I am working to complete my mission."

Qyp laughed. "I'm saddened to hear that you view your time with me as work."

"It is not that. I had another date for tonight and I resent Caz disrupting my schedule."

Qyp placed a hand against the back of Symyn's head and he could sense the pattern of her thoughts. "Ah, you were expecting a night of sexplay with Klywy. She's very skilled at oral sex."

Symyn thought about Klywy's amazing tongue. "She's taken all of Caz's advanced electives on sexplay. I'd been looking forward to a night with her tongue for the past month. If we hurry, we can get down to the point and back before Klywy slips away to find another lover."

Qyp took his hand off of Symyn's head. "Myrly is there with Klywy, that should keep her occupied."

Myrly was Symyn's most regular lover and she had insisted on a three-way with Klywy. Qyp could telepathically sense Symyn's lust and frustration. He said, "You and I could spend the night together at the point."

"On a first date? I think not. You'll stick your fat tongue down my throat and drool on me and that will be enough."

Qyp sighed. "I want you to remember what you just told me."

She looked at him quizzically, unable to judge his meaning in expression on his star-lit face. "Of course I'll remember. It i a beautiful night... and I'm enjoying our walk."

He glanced again at Symyn's breasts and seemingly changed the subject, "I had not noticed that you've begun to mature."

Symyn tugged at her top and pulled it off. "This is me." She tossed the nanite-generated top into the surf, feeling pleased to be free of the nanites that Caz had used to exaggerate the size of her breasts. "I don't think I'm destined to have huge breasts. It was Caz's idea to have me wear faked big breasts tonight."

Qyp laughed. "You are beautiful in your natural form." He waved a hand and his clothing nanites opened up the front of his jacket, revealing his torso and abdomen. "Caz is a trouble maker."

Symyn asked, "You can control nanites?"

"Caz taught me that little trick. She seems to take a special interest in me. I'd asked her to use nanites to modify a flute I built, but she ended up undressing both me and herself and it turned into another sex education session. But in the end, she showed me how to use nanites to refine the instruments that I make. Later I learned that some of the nanite codes she taught me also work on clothing nanites."

"Strange... I thought the power to control nanites was forbidden knowledge." Now Symyn regretted not having paid any attention to Qyp's interest in music.

"I hope you like the look of my body as much as I enjoy looking at you."

From her perspective in Norsun, Potina, "watching" the scene that included Symyn and Qyp on the beach, tried to process the great wealth of information that was flooding her mind. The infites that had been sent into her by Cadya were providing not only an autobiographical memory of Symyn's walk on the beach, but also background information that made Potina aware of the location (the distant planet Tar'tron) and every other important fact of Symyn's life. Potina even experience the heart-skipping excitement of Symyn as she contemplated the possibility that Qyp might be the Ek'col she was searching for. Symyn had been assigned by Thylon the task of finding them a husband. Symyn told Qyp, "I'm pleased to hear you say that. You are quite beautiful. In the past, I've wondered if maybe you are not interested in girls." 

Qyp sighed profoundly. "Caz almost ruined everything."

Symyn, like all the other students, knew that Caz was a force to be reckoned with. For a moment Symyn reflected on her own sexplay sessions with Caz. Among other duties, matron Caz was the sexplay instructor for the students. Symyn asked Qyp, "What, you'd rather have sex with matron Caz than a little girl like me?"

"No." For time Qyp was silent. They had reached a place on the beach from where the other students at the bonfire could no longer be heard in the distance. Suddenly a satisfied lover called out in ecstasy from one of the little huts at lovers point, which was now quite near. Qyp turned to face Symyn and he gently stoked her breasts with his finger tips. "I'd take much pleasure in being your lover. The problem is, I can't ever know if you want me... of your own free will."

Symyn reached down and felt Qyp's stiff penis where it pushed outwards against the thin fabric of his pants. Symyn did not want to admit that she had a job to do. It was her assignment to select among the boys and find the best Ek'col who could serve as the husband for she and Thylon when they went on their mission to Earth. Now her heart quickened as she wondered if Caz had warned Qyp about that secret. She liberated his erection from his pants and held it in her hands. "Of course I want you. But I need more from you than a wild ride on your penis."

Qyp placed one hand on Symyn's soft bottom and pressed the other between her legs. He gently stroked her wet labia with his finger tips. He kissed the tip of her nose and then said, "Caz admitted that both you and Thylon are not Ek'col. I've always sensed that you have essentially no telepathic ability to send information into my mind. Still, there is something special about you two. Caz refused to tell me that secret."

"Does that bother you?"

Qyp was busy for a time. With two of his fingers up inside her hot vagina, he was enjoying the silky feel of her insides. He withdrew his wet fingers and rubbed them vigorously on the stiff glans of her clitoris. Symyn gasped and felt Qyp's telepathic mind clamp down on her. She achieved a sparking little orgasm and felt her knees go slack. He lifted her off the ground and settled her against his body; his erection slid into her tight little vagina. Holding her tight, he assured her, "It bothers me that I can control your mind and make you have orgasms just by suggesting that you do so."

Symyn had her arms tight around him and she began rubbing herself against him, taking his hot erection as deep inside as she could. She was startled to find herself making love to Qyp and enjoying the feel of his powerful body. "I don't mind. Not at all."

He laid down on the sand and let her ride his penis to a more explosive second orgasm. When he ejaculated and his sex hormones began to work in her body; now she went a little bit crazy. Later, as she lay resting against his sweating body, he told her, "I don't want to make you my prisoner."

Still uncertain how much Qyp knew about her mission, Symyn tried to organize her thoughts. She could still feel his telepathic mind playing among her emotions, much as she was still playing with his erection and feeling it hard and hot as she methodically moved it against each part of her vagina. Her thoughts about Qyp had completely changed. Gone was her fear of his ability to make her emotions boil up and explode. Somehow she knew that he would never take advantage of the power of his telepathic mind for any purpose other than to give her pleasure. "But what if I needed you? Would you honor me by being my husband?"

Qyp laughed. "Caz has spoken about that word. Husband. I still do not understand it."

Symyn tried to explain. "That word is common in primitive human cultures where resources are limited. Thylon and I must go to such a place... Earth."

"Are you serious? So that is what is special about you two. I see it all now. You two are here on Tar'tron only because you are preparing for a mission to Earth. And you want me to go along?"

"I have not decided. But it is my assigned task to select an Ek'col to accompany me and Thylon when we are sent to Earth."

Qyp was not at all certain that Earth was a real place. It seemed like a mystical planet of legend and he had never known anyone who thought otherwise. Placing both hands on Symyn's head, he could now sense that she believed in the reality of Earth. "Let's get back to campus."

Symyn hurried Qyp back the the administration building, not bothering to put on a top to cover her breasts or allow Qyp to cover his penis. Caz was waiting for them in her office and Thylon was there as well. Symyn told Caz, "You knew he is the one."

Caz nodded. "Of course, I've always known. However, it was up to you to make the discovery for your self... and Thylon."

Thylon stood in front of Qyp and took his semi-erect penis in her hands. "Kiss me, my husband."

Qyp placed a rather chaste and brotherly kiss on the top of Thylon's head. He asked Caz, "You are sending us to Earth?"

Caz laughed. "Only in a sense. Cloned copies of you three have lived out their lives on Earth of the distant past. The tree of you," Caz waved a hand, gesturing to the tree young students, "Will live out your lives here on Tar'tron." Caz bent down and kissed the head of Qyp's penis, now fully erect under the manual stimulation being applied by Thylon. Then she told him, "You will have the chance to learn the mind patterns of Symyn and Thylon. That knowledge will be built into your copy on Earth, giving you the ability to efficiently form an alliance with them both." Caz hungrily took the tip od his erection in her mouth.

Qyp asked, "As their husband?"

Not bothering to take her mouth off of the glans of his penis, Caz telepathically told him: Exactly.

Qyp shrugged. "I'm not sure I can really understand the idea of being a husband and having exclusive relationships with just two wives."

Now, with Thylon at his right side and Symyn by his left side and each of them with a hand on the hard shaft of his erection, Caz finally took her mouth off of his penis. "Don't worry, there will be dozens of Rep who will make sure that there is nothing sexually exclusive about it. Just as here, Thy and Sym will share you with others, including me." Making her point, Caz lifted up her shirt and slid his erection into her vagina.

Thylon asked, "Rep?"

Potina wanted to explain to Thylon about the Rep of Earth, but then she lost the tread of her dream vision of Tar'tron. Now quite sexually excited, Potina was tempted to return to Zule and again make love to him. Realizing that everything has happened just as Caz had explained to Qyp, Thylon and Symyn, Potina remembered that there was a Rep named Caz there in Norsun.

Potina turned and there was Caz. Caz took Potina by the hand and led her out of the house and into the Garden of Eland where plants from Eland had been carefully cultivated for centuries. Caz told Potina, "It was important that you now understand your husband."

Potina asked, "He has studied my mind? He can control my mind?"

Caz nodded. "We made use of the telepathic abilities of an Ek'col to anchor you and Tara. But now you understand; although you three are permanently linked, you need not feel bad about spending time away from Zule. You have a special role to play here in Norsun and you must be free to move around. We rep will keep him entertained here at home whenever you and Tara are off attending to your duties."

Potina asked, "Tara and Zule... they are aware of all this?"

"Maybe subconsciously. You were at risk of not going to the Palace, so I had to provide you with some memories from your Tar'tron clone."

"Palace?"

"We Rep maintain both a summer and a winter palace here in Norsun. You will spend most of your life at those places and visiting the border forts.You don't know it yet, but you are quite the warrior. All that hunting on Tar'tron will return dividends here."

"My future is to be a trial of conflict and war?"

"No. Norsun has long practiced a culture of gift giving. The neighboring tribes all appreciate Norsun as a valuable friend, not an enemy. Still, you will pose as a warrior... even if you never have to kill anyone... in battle."

Potina was rather alarmed by the qualifier: in battle. Caz added, "You'll have many interactions with people from other tribes. In some cases, your body will be the vector for spreading deadly viruses. You need not think about that, but don't fool yourself. The peace of Norsum is ensured only by eliminated the psychotic warriors of other tribes who would insist on attacking Norsun.

Alien Intervention

Grystygn
 For the next part of my science fiction story called the Mosy Saga, I want to make explicit the idea that aliens Interventionists are planning to make use of Tara the Ta as their tool for accomplishing a complex Reality Change that will end the Ekcolir Reality and bring into existence the world as we know it, the Final Reality. So far in the story, I've hinted at the fact that Tara has large numbers of alien gene patterns, but Tara's physical features have been carefully constrained by developmental control nanites, assuring that she looks like an Earth woman. 

When Potina is called to the Summer Palace to meet visiting dignitaries from a western tribe, she discovers that there is a Rep serving as a translator for the visiting dignitaries; her name is Grystygn. The Rep are replicoids who can arrange their nanite components so as to take on any convenient form. When Grystygn is alone with Potina, she shows Potina her true bodily form (see below). However, when Earthlings other than Potina are present, Grystygn uses a standard Earth woman physical form (see Figure 1).

I've previously written stories such as The Zal Intervention in which aliens have visited Earth and I had to imagine hiding their alien features such as their ears. I've been using Wombo Dream (I refer to this AI-powered image generator as "Mr. Wombo")  to make illustrations for the Mosy Saga

When given a chance, Mr. Wombo tends to make elf-like ears pointing out to the sides as shown to the left in Figure 2. For the image of an alien visitor on Earth that I was trying to create, I wanted the ears pointing more vertically, as shown in this blog post from 2019.

Some of the images generated by Mr. Wombo use the alien's long flowing hair to cover up large parts of the alien-style ears (for example, see Figure 3, to the right) or make the ears quite small. In this case, I particularly wanted to make obvious the fact that Grystygn has several unusual anatomic features, so I wanted the ears fairly large and mostly visible.

I have a serious problem accepting AI-generated images of aliens if they are too alien in appearance. Some of the available "styles" for Mr. Wombo such as the relatively new "Dreamland V3" style generated images for aliens with large pointed ears that were in my uncanny valley (for example, see Figure 4).

The pointy-eared alien version shown in Figure 5 had interesting ears, but this kind of thin ear was almost as troubling for me as were the thick ears in Figure 4. Rationally, I tell myself that I should be satisfied with either of these, but my rational mind can be over-ruled by the rest of my brain.

Since I was so focused on the ears of this alien, I was attracted to the version with ear rings that is shown in Figure 6. I was using this text prompt: "high resolution movie still of Elle Macpherson as a pretty alien with cute elf ears in a science fiction film, Elle Macpherson has long blond hair, Elle Macpherson is fifteen years old, Elle Macpherson has very large alien eyes, Elle Macpherson has huge eyes, Elle Macpherson is smiling, Elle Macpherson is alien, alien technology in the background". It is interesting that Mr. Wombo sometimes cannot resist putting either tattoos or jewelry on human figures, even when not asked to do so.

Originally, I was imagining that Caz might need to take Tara to Eternity in order to help Tara understand how advanced technologies such as nanites and time travel were being used for the Mosy Intervention. During their time in Eternity, I thought it might be possible to have Tara meet Grean the Kac'hin. I often depict the Kac'hin as being hermaphrodites, but that is not the focus of this blog post.

Eventually, I decided to allow Tara's wife, Potina, to be the first Earthling who has a chance to see the unusual anatomy of an alien. Potina is already prepared for the idea of alien anatomical differences because she knows that Tara has an Allzaurish. Then, after Potina describes her "alien close encounter" experience to Tara, Tara will be curious about her own natural physical form. At that point in time, Tara will begin to make demands of Caz and then Tara will then be teleported to Eternity for a quick lesson about alien body plans.

I was initially using Mr. Wombo to create a version of Caz as she might appear during the visit to Eternity with Tara (see Figure 7). Then, while using the "Dreamland V3" style, Mr. Wombo began making some images such as the one shown in Figure 8

Don't ask me to explain the floating metallic device that is there beside her, but it reminds me of the robotic devices that Arthur Clarke included in his science fiction story Against the Fall of Night

Surprise
The next step in image generation with Mr. Wombo really surprised me: an extra row of breasts was added, low on her abdomen (see the image to the right). In the past, when I've imagined extra breasts, I've always but them high on the abdomen. In this case, Mr. Wombo seemed to be putting a second set of collar bones on the abdomen between the two rows of breasts.

For the image shown to the right, I tried to make her look downward. Her head was generated separately. I discovered that it is almost impossible to get Mr. Wombo to show a woman looking down at her own body. Her left hand with the pointing finger was made by Mr. Wombo without me asking for that pose.

I ended up making the composite image shown in Figure 9 as a representation of the true alien form of Grystygn. These images tended to have serious trouble getting the hands correctly rendered.

 Straining Credulity. For the rest of the images shown below, I did bother bother trying to add in the big pointy alien ears and unusually large eyes that I imagine being anatomical features of Grystygn. However, some of Mr. Wombo's image-generating "styles" seem to have a definite preference for making large breasts (see Figures 10 an 11, below). Mr. Wombo's  preference was to almost always take care to hide and cover the nipples for the second row of breasts. In many cases, Mr. Wombo did not bother connecting the two pieces of fabric that were covering the left and right breasts (see the second row of breasts in Figure 11, below).

A few of the Wombo Dream styles were able to successfully use Figure 9 as a template and generate similar images. Another relatively new style, "Monster V3", generated the image shown in Figure 10

However, the vast majority of the Wombo Dream styles could not be coaxed to generate images with more than just two breasts.

Figure 11 shows a version of this six-breasted alien that was generated with the "Dreamland V3" style using Figure 9 as a template. For most of these images I had to make a closeup image for the face to correct for problems (often involving the nose). Figure 11 was the exception; I was satisfied with the original version of the face in this particular image.

The "Steam punk v2" style struggled to generate three rows of breasts using Figure 9 as a template. Figure 12 shows a modified composite version that had to be manually assembled from three different images.

I prefer aliens with more reasonably sized breasts such as those in Figure 9 and Figure 12.

Four Wombo Dream "styles"
I'm not sure how they keep devising new "styles" for Wombo Dream nor how they select the iconic image for each one.

Here is an imaginary book cover (see Figure 13). Maybe when Tara is taken to Eternity by Caz, she has a chance to visit the Writers Block.

I'm thinking that this alien humanoid with six breasts is a human variant that was designed and crafted in the far future of the Asimov Reality. Possibly this human variant has better telepathic abilities than other variants such as the Kac'hin and the Ek'col, but the goal in the telepathy development project of the Asimov Reality was creation of a telepathic human variant that could live on Earth without attracting too much attention.

I used the image shown in Figure 12 as a new reference image. This did allow the "Monster V3" style to generate some aliens with either smaller breasts (or at least significantly less skin showing) than for Figure 10 and Figure 11 (above). The image shown in Figure 14, has a problem with her hand, but I did not alter anything in this image after it was rendered by Mr. Wombo.

One of the more bizarre images that I got when using Figure 12 as a reference image is shown in Figure 15. It is very rare for a nipple to slip through the Wombo Dream NSFW filter. Maybe this is a scene from an alien high-diving competition.

Both Figure 15 and Figure 16 are shown here on this page completely unaltered from the original image generated by Mr. Wombo.

Here is another example of an image for which the Wombo Dream NSFW algorithm seemingly relaxed its usual "hide the breasts" standards (image to the right). Maybe as long as her nipple is in a dark shadow, Mr. Wombo assumes that there has been adequate censorship imposed.

Martians
Another Mr. Wombo special double torso image is shown in Figure 16, this time with four arms and the usual Wombo Dream effort to hide her nipples. This kind of alien with four arms reminds me of an illustration by Michael Whelan for The Gods of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

Sadly, for Figure 16, Mr. Wombo could not be bothered to to five her any hands. I'm not sure what those mysterious alien devices are in the background... nor am I certain why I even noticed what is in the background. This anatomically odd alien provides enough to look at.

The Wombo Dream software is quite good at finding ways to hide nipples. In Figure 17, I guess we are supposed to believe that her hair is covering her left nipple. Maybe some of these aliens do not actually have nipples.

In Figure 17, it looks like she has an audience.

The question arises: if Mr. Wombo can make aliens with three rows of breasts, why not four? Figure 18 might have three and a half, although I like the idea of some smaller breasts that would be specialized to synthesize some special hormones like oxypathin.

In Figure 18, the head was not generated with the body. That angle of the head is one of the most down-ward pointing angles that I was able to get from Mr. Wombo and that tilt of the head came without me asking. Very annoying when it is only by not asking for a particular feature in an image that Mr. Wombo generates it.

Another down-ward glance is shown in Figure 19. While I was working hard to get images of strange aliens, it was interesting to occasionally get what looked like a normal human woman. In my experience, while asking Mr. Wombo to generate aliens, the software is so highly constrained by its training set (which I assume does not include many actual aliens) that it will often ignore my carefully-crafted instructions for how to craft an odd alien anatomical feature.

I was tempted to replace that stray planet with an image of the Moon, but maybe this scene is on a distant exoplanet.

 Robots. It seems inevitable that if I ask Mr. Wombo for enough science fiction scenes then some robots are going to appear, eventually. Figure 20 shows some robots lurking in the background.

For the Mosy Saga, I don't have robots in the conventional sense, but the story is heavily dependent on artificial lifeforms called replicoids that have nanite components. The replicoids generally take on human appearance (Figure 1) while living on Earth as part of the Mosy Intervention.

 Other Aliens. While asking Mr. Wombo to generate some aliens, I started getting images such as the one shown in Figure 21. This was not the kind of alien creature that I was trying to illustrate for the Mosy Saga, but maybe some of Tara's dream visions are more like nightmares than actual visions of the future. Before Tara's visit to Eternity, she worries about being watched by her replicoid.

Because of her training as a Ta, Tara has some understanding of the fact that the Bimanoid Interface is used to allow the people of Earth to be secretly watched and observed. However, it is only after meeting Caz that Tara starts to get a technical understanding of how the Bimanoid Interface is used to allow telepathic communication between Earthlings and their replicoids in Eternity.

Another one of Tara's "visions" is shown in Figure 22. The replicoids can arrange their nanite components as needed. Here, a replicoid self-assembles from the head down. I wanted to transform this replicoid into a depiction of a blue alien with pointy ears.

I was able to manually cut and paste some large eyes into a reference image (see Figure 23), but I struggled to get Mr. Wombo to make faces with unusually large alien eyes.

One of the Wombo Dream styles is "The Cut". Using "The Cut", Mr. Wombo generated the image shown in Figure 24 using Figure 23 as the reference image. I was using this text prompt: "high resolution movie still of Elle Macpherson in the science fiction film "Aliens Are Watching", Elle Macpherson has blue skin, Elle Macpherson has long pointed elf-like ears, Elle Macpherson has black hair, Elle Macpherson has very large green eyes, Elle Macpherson has extremely large alien eyes, Elle Macpherson with huge eyes".

Once again I had to manually add larger eyes to the image shown in Figure 24 in order to get the image in Figure 25. Full confession: the image in Figure 25 is slightly too alien for my tastes.

 Figure 26 shows a blue alien in a scene with Tara the Ta. This blue alien might be a Rep of Eland taking an opportunity to teach Tara about the true nature of the aliens who are guiding the Reality Change that will create the Final Reality (the world as we know it).

Sometimes I really wonder how Mr. Wombo decides on which style of clothing to use for an image. I'm not going to complain about the alien's clothing in Figure 26, but if I had a magic wand, I'd not have my aliens using primitive fasteners like buttons.

 Figure 27 is a version of this nighttime human-alien encounter that was generated by Mr. Wombo using the "Horror Cut v2.1" style and this text prompt: "high resolution movie still of Katrine De Candole and Elle Macpherson as a blue alien with very large eyes, Katrine De Candole is fifteen years old, Katrine De Candole is blond, Elle Macpherson is an alien with elf ears and large eyes and black hair, dressed Victoria's Secret style in silk, candle light, desert landscape in the background". I feel that the alien's left hand is a bit too green, but why quibble? Mr. Wombo came up with the glowing yellow eyes, which helps make up for the inability of the software to make really large eyes. Once Mr. Wombo starts with a few candles, watch out! The candles will keep proliferating.

The nipples of the lady towards the back of the scene in Figure 28 were not as dramatic as those in Figure 14, but her breasts were more visible than what can usually escape the NSFW filter that is deployed by Wombo Dream. I suppose if the breasts are small enough and the lighting dim enough then the NSFW filter can fail.

When I used Figure 28 as a reference image, Mr. Wombo generated Figure 29 by using the "Horror Cut v2.0 style". I get the feeling that there are a few holes in the NSFW algorithm that usually prevents Mr. Wombo from generating and returning to users any images of breasts with nipples or women's breasts that are not draped with clothing or covered by other means. At the same time, Mr. Wombo will sometimes start generating views of bare breasts even when the user does not ask for that. In this case, if you look carefully (click the image to enlarge), her nipples seem to be covered by thin swaths of skin-toned fabric.

The vertically-oriented series of three faces along the left side of Figure 29 was not a stable arrangement. As shown in Figure 30, it really made more sense for Mr. Wombo to have only two human figures along the left side of this scene.

Mr. Wombo had some interesting ideas for how to minimize clothing and maximize skin when using the "Monster 3" style to make these moon-lit scenes. Figure 30 shows the lady towards the back of the scene depicted by Mr. Wombo as being rather casual about covering her crotch. In Figures 28 - 30, the Moon was plenty big, but Mr. Wombo was not satisfied.

For the Mosy Saga, I was interested in having a nighttime meeting between Caz and Tara. Mr. Wombo seemed to like the idea that if there are only two people under the full Moon then the Moon can be made even larger. Since February I have sometimes tried to have Mr. Wombo generate images in which two humans are kissing, but the Wombo Dream training set seems to have not been very rich in images of people kissing, so Mr. Wombo finds it hard to visually depict a convincing kiss.

When I used the text prompt, "high resolution movie still of Meg Ryan and Kate Moss kissing in the documentary film “Ancient Civilizations”, Kate Moss is seen in profile view, twenty years old, very large eyes, smiling, long blond hair, big hair, dressed Victoria's Secret style, wearing neolithic clothing, moon in background", Mr. Wombo made the image shown in Figure 31.

Not being entirely satisfied with the sky and Moon as depicted by Mr Wombo, I made the reference image shown in Figure 32. This star field and the image of the moon are from a couple of NASA images.

In general, Mr. Wombo can't make a very natural looking star field. Figure 33 shows one of the more interesting nighttime skies that Mr. Wombo generated while using Figure 32 as a reference image.

I wanted some way to visually indicate that Caz is a replicoid. In the Mosy Saga, I mention that there is a characteristic appearance of the Rep (replicoids) who live in Eland that allows humans such as Tara to instantly recognize a Rep. Thinking of hair nanites, for Figure 34 I asked for "artificial hair", but Mr. Wombo finds it hard to produce either unusually large eyes (see Figure 24) or unusual hair. Mr. Wombo's default is to make some sort of goofy hat.

 Figure 35 shows one more interesting night sky that was generated by Wombo and which illustrates Mr. Wombo's approach to including a view of the Milky Way in an image of the nighttime sky.

Saturation. I have no idea how Mr. Wombo decides on the amount of color saturation in these nighttime scenes that are under Moon light. Sometimes Mr. Wombo seems to over-do the color level.
