The Nereids of Ver'la

Below on this page is Part 9 of the science fiction story "D*". At the end of Part 8, Tyhry had just met Elyrix the Grendel. The Grendels were designed by the Nereids. 

Manny the bumpha extracts Tyhry from the Asimov Reality Simulation. Manny wants to prepare Tyhry for contact with the Nereids, a technologically advanced species from the Asimov Reality. Tyhry's meeting with a Nereid takes place in an orbital station above the planet Ver'la.

The image in Figure 1 shows they type of space station that ImageFX or Whisk will generate when the text prompt specifies "a futuristic alien space station". However, the Nereids are hundreds of millions of years old and so any space station they would build should be much more technologically advanced than what is depicted in Figure 1. For Figure 2 I specified, "many small fractal complex surface features that include tiny multicolored light sources".

The user interface for Whisk has been changed again by the programmers at Google. Now the only button that remains visible on the face of Whisk-generated images is the "ANIMATE" button. However, if you click on a Whisk-generated image then you get the pop-up editing window (see Figure 3) that used to be accessed by clicking on the "refine" button. I don't understand the current trend in user interfaces where user controls become invisible and you have to just know where to click to access important features of the software.

Elyrix shrugged and quickly accepted the facts that she could sense in Tyhry's thoughts: they were all inside a sophisticated Simulation. She continued communicating telepathically. I suppose if this is all a simulation then it does not matter, but please tell me Tyhry, why do you want teleportation technology?

Lost World trilogy

Tyhry explained, "In my Reality, we humans have access to a teleporter... the one inside Eternity. But it has been inactivated. I just want to re-activate that teleportation equipment so that my friends can travel between Earth and Observer Base. For example, my friend Marda has been isolated from her lover... her mind clone... all of their lives. It is cruel."

Elyrix shook her head. I doubt if I can help you. As a Grendel, I know next to nothing about teleporter technology. But I can take you to the site of the long-range teleporter node that is here in Arizona.

Tyna said, "So there is a Gendel base here?"

Elyrix giggled. Never. We Grendels like water, not deserts. She glanced out the window at the passing cacti of the Moon-lit desert landscape. 

Mylana noticed that they were no longer on their pre-programmed route to the mountains. "Hey, we are too far south."

Elyrix spoke for the first time, "We are going to Mt. Picachu. There is teleportation equipment there... in an underground chamber." Elyrix dispersed her clothing nanites and the four women resumed the interrupted sexplay session with Elyrix the Grendel enjoying several shared orgasms with the humans and a chance to impress them with her alien genitals. Tingling with her own sexual pleasure, Tyna now understood her mother's tales about wonderful shared telepathically-enhanced orgasms with a Grendel.

The car finally stopped in the middle of the desert, at a spot on a dirt road where Mt. Picachu could be seen on the horizon, blotting out their view of the stars. Elyrix used her programmable nanites to cloth herself and the three humans in dark jumpsuits. She led them out into the star-lit night just before dawn. After walking from the road into the desert hills, somehow Elyrix caused a tunnel opening to open up in the ground and they all went inside that well-lit tunnel.

The tunnel slanted steadily downward. Responding to questions from Tyhry, all Elyrix would say was that they would eventually reach a chamber below Mt. Picachu. "I've never been here before, but this is all as I was told long ago during my training years. This is an emergency exit from Earth for we Grendels, but I don't know that it has ever been used."

After hiking for five miles through the featureless tunnel, they reached the promised chamber and were met by two more Grendels, one a child of about five years of age. The elder Grendel telpathically communicated with Tyhry: You are in luck. The Nereids want to meet you.

Mylana gestured towards the two other Grendels and asked Elyrix, "Who are they?"

Elyrix and Tyna were both trying to telepathically follow the communication between Tyhry and the other Grendel. The young Grendel child approached Tyna and placed a hand on one of Tyna's lower breasts. She said, "It seems strange to find a tryp'At here on Earth."

The older Grendel now spoke. "When your approach was detected, I was sent here to test the teleportation equipment, which has not been used for millions of years. Now I will send you on to Ver'la. Please get on the teleportation platform." She gestured towards a nearby pedestal.

Tyna and Mylana both asked, "Ver'la?"

Tyhry explained, "Ver'la is a world of the Nereids." 

The Grendel child took Tyna and Mylana by the hand and pulled them up the steps onto the teleportation platform. Elyrix followed along.

Tyhry could now telepathically sense in the thoughts of Elyrix that these two other Grendels were mother and daughter and they were named Ethyrolmn and Jymy. Tyhry asked the older Grendel, "Ethyr, is it safe for humans to visit Ver'la?"

Ethyrolmn grinned, revealing small pointed teeth. Ah, you are worried about gravity.

Tyhry nodded , "Isn't Ver'la a large water world? I don't want to end up crushed under water."

Ethyrolmn put an arm around Tyhry and walked her up onto the teleportation platform. Little Jymy said, "You are not going to the planet itself. I was just there... inside an orbital station." She told her mother, "Let me go with them!"

Ethyrolmn climbed down off of the platform and Jymy took hold of one of Tyhry's hands. Jymy telepathically told Tyhry: Relax. Nothing bad will happen to us. Ethyrolmn went to the control panel for the equipment and with quick motions of her hands, Ethyrolmn activated the long-range teleporter. Jymy, Tyna, Tyhry, Mylana and Elyrix vanished. They had teleported off of Earth and were sent away to the Galactic Core.

Expecting to arrive in the Galactic Core with her travel companions, Tyhry was startled to suddenly be face-to-face with Manny the bumpha. Tyna was still holding the hand of Jymy, and Tyhry could telepathically sense Jymy's surprise. Manny said, "Pardon me for interrupting your trip to the Core, but I want to provide you with a warning."

Manny was filling young Jymy's mind with information about exactly who Manny was. Tyhry noticed that there was another young girl there in the room. Jymy yanked her hand out of Tyhry's and went to the other girl. Then the two girls left the room, running off hand-in-hand. Tyhry muttered, "That's another copy of you..."

Manny put her arms around Tyhry and replied, "Exactly. I wanted to reward Jymy for her help." 

After watching the two girls run off, Tyhry turned her attention back to Manny and began playing with Manny's amazing nanite-generated hair. She told Manny, "I never expected to have an opportunity to meet the Nerieds."

Manny was sending information nanites into Tyhry's brain and educating Tyhry about the long history of the Nereids. "The Nereids long ago transcended into the Hierion Domain. When you arrive inside Weene space station, you will be met by an artificial life-form that mimics the physical form of the Nereids as they originally evolved in the ocean of Ver'la, hundreds of millions of years before apes evolved on Earth. That Nereid will be what you think of as a femtozoan... and artificial life form composed of hierions that naturally exists in the Hierion Domain, but which can also visit the Hadron Domain."

Tyhry was thinking about her newly formed memories of the Nereids. "The Nereids helped guide evolution on Earth?"

Manny explained, "They made some alterations to the evolution of early mammals on Earth in the Asimov Reality which resulted in the Sesterials."

Tyhry could review implanted memories of Sesterial primates in her mind. Tyhry asked, "There are apes with three nipples?"

Manny giggled and placed her hands on Tyhry's two lower tryp'At style breasts. "Just because you have four pretty nipples don't reject the possibility of a humanoid with three breasts. Such creatures evolved in South America of the Asimov Reality, but they were taken off of Earth by the Nerieds. If you like, I can arrange for you to meet a Sesterial."

Tyhry glanced at Manny's chest and noticed a third nipple at the center of her thorax. Tyhry giggled and said, "You know I can't resist..." Tyhry put her lips of Manny's third nipple and began to suck. Her mouth exploded with the tingling sensation of a potent klytykynyn from Manny's secretions stimulating the klytykynyn receptors in her mouth. All of Tyhry's erectile tissue quickly engorged with blood. Manny flopped onto a large comfortable bed and spread her legs. Tyhry wasted no time sliding her big tryp'At erection into Manny's hot wet vagina. Soon Tyhry and Manny were caught up in a shared orgasm trance that allowed Tyhry maximal access to Manny's mind.

As her intense orgasm ended, Tyhry telepathically thanked Manny: Thank you for educating me about the Nereids. I've read stories that were written by Ivory Fersoni about aliens called Trilateroids, but I never saw Nereids depicted as having three nipples.

Manny was preparing to send Tyhry back into the Asimov Reality Simulator. She told Tyhry: You and your friends are about to become the first humans to meet a Nereid. Anything you might have read about Nereids is fiction based upon rumors.

Out of the corner of her eye, Tyhry saw Jymy, but then she was sent back into the Asimov Reality Simulation. From the perspective of Tyna, Mylana and Elyrix, Tyhry and Jymy had never been absent. They arrived inside a Nereid space station called Weene. A large view-port provided a view of the planet Ver'la, dazzling white with some hints of blue ocean under the clouds.

Tyhry sensed another telepathic mind and she turned. Tyhry saw the Nereid. Having also noticed the Nereid, Jymy ran and tried to grab on to the Nereid, but the girl's arms passed right through the Nereid who "spoke" by way of some sort of telepathic signal that penetrated all of their minds: Back again, little one... and with friends? As each of the Nereid's words and thoughts entered into Tyhry's consciousness, they seemed to flip and dance and then integrate into her own language-like thought channels.

Tyhry approached the Nereid and her reaching hand also passed through the aliens "body". She asked, "You are an artificial life form?"

Manny loves Tyhry.

The Nereid explained: I long ago transcended into the Hierion Domain, but I still keep watch over Ver'la.

Tyna asked the Nereid, "Is this your true physical form?"

The Nereid replied, "I have used many physical forms. This one is suitable for viewing by Grendels."

Jymy telepathically told the Nereid: These are human beings, from planet Earth.

The Nereid said, "Yes, I see that these three are tryp'At." The Nereid gazed into Tyhry's eyes. "Reality simulation. Amazing! I sense nothing that indicates this is a simulation."

Tyhry said, "I'm using advanced bumpha technology to visit this Reality. I'm in search of programmable femtobots."

If you want knowledge of femtobots and hierions you should seek out the Phari.

Tyhry muttered, "The Phari are notoriously hard to locate."

The Nereid said: I see in your mind the technological challenge that you face. Why not ask your friend Manny the bumpha to provide you with the femtobots that you seek?

Tyhry crossed her arms and replied, "I suspect that you can see in my mind that Manny expects me to solve my own problems. I'm actually grateful for that... I get to have adventures such as this journey to the Galactic Core." Tyhry looked over her shoulder at the bright face of Ver'la which was surrounded by the dense bright stars and nebulae of the central region of the galaxy. Tyhry asked, "Is it really true that Ver'la once existed in Earth's solar system?"

Yes, that is true. Long ago we had reason to visit Earth, but then we left that world to the care of Grendels.

Tyhry loves Manny.

Tyhry had been trying to focus her eyes on the translucent figure of the Nereid. It seemed as if the Nereid did indeed have three nipples. The Nereid pointed at its third nipple and explained: My people genetically modified our original biological form to... ah, I see in your mind that you have the concept... what you call synapex linkages. Nereid parents used the third nipple to form direct brain links to their children.

Jymy said, "But you have already established such a mind link with me."

The Nereid told Jymy: I am inside the Hierion Domain. Even if I instantiated this body in the Hadron Domain, I doubt if you and I could form a physical link between our bodies. Nereids designed Grendels, but our biologies are distinct, having evolved on separate worlds. I have linked our minds using femtobot-assisted telepathy.

Tyhry could telepathically sense what the Nereid was telling Jymy. She asked the Nereid, "Can you allow me to form a deep telepathic link to your mind so that I can learn your femtobot programming techniques?"

Tyhry, you have a beautiful mind, but it would take some effort for me to learn your tryp'At mind pattern. However, I will provide you with some femtobots that will be of use to you. The Nereid made a gesture. The femtobots are inside you now, Tyhry.

There was a dislocation of Tyhry's consciousness and she found herself back in her nanite research laboratory in the Ekcolir Reality. The two Tynas were across the room, speaking to one of the replicoid copies of Tyhry who noticed Tyhry's return from the Asimov Reality Simulator and who said, "There is Tyhry now."

Tyhry was wearing the sparkling nanite-generated clothing that had been provided by Elyryx. The younger Tyna rushed to Tyhry and excitedly asked, "Were you successful?"

Sorsyph the Felydyan.

Tyhry commanded some of the Grendel clothing nanites to go to Tyna and they did. Tyna giggled as sparkling nanite-generated clothing spread over her body.  Tyhry said, "I've returned with some new nanites..." Tyhry fell silent. She now knew the nature of the programmable femtobots that she had obtained from the Nereid. She announced, "I'm going into space." She turned and now noticed that a replicoid copy of Jymy had been popped out of the Asimov Reality Simulation. Ignoring the presence of Jymy and all else, Tyhry exited from the laboratory and walked quickly towards Sedrover.

The older Tyna called after Tyhry, "Where are you going?"

Tyhry telepathically replied: I'm going to Eternity!

Tyhry was telepathically organizing the replicoids who constituted the crew of Sedrover. Tyhry entered the spaceship and went directly to the main control room. The Tyhry replicoid who piloted Sedrover arrived in the control room just a few seconds after Tyhry. The replicoid could telepathically sense that Tyhry was thinking about Sorsyph the Felydyan. The replicoid asked Tyhry, "You know the location of the femtotube entrance to Eternity?"

Tyhry replied, "No, but I believe I can find it. Set course to Gyryph."

Marda and the two Tynas and Jymy arrived in the control room. The younger copy of Tyna and Jymy were in the middle of a conversation constructed from isolated words and bursts of telepathic communication. Marda asked Tyhry, "What's all of the excitement?"

Sedrover pulled out of the hanger and was soon rising up through the atmosphere. Tyhry told Marda, "I have some new femtobots from the Nereids." Seeing that a course for Gyryph had been laid in, Tyhry took Marda by the hand and led the girl to the cabin that Tyhry used while onboard Sedrover. Tyhry tossed Marda on the bed and quickly got her tryp'At erection inside Marda and formed a synapex linkage directly to Marda's nervous system.

Marda was amazed by the ease with which she could now explore Tyhry's memories and mind. We've never had such an efficient mind-link before! I see all that happened to you there at Weene. But where are the Nereid femtobots?

Tyhry explained: They are inside me. And watch this... Tyhry held her right hand in front of Marda's face and then her hand disappeared.

Marda spoke."What the hell?"

Needing to hear her own racing thoughts, Tyhry also spoke out loud. "Marda, I'm a femtobot construct... something like a replicoid... an artificial life form designed to mimic a biological organism."

"Just like Tyna?"

"Exactly. My whole life I believed I was biological, but I'm not. And now, with the Nereid femtobots, I can control the femtobot components of my body that are... me."

The Tyhry replicoid in the control room telepathically signaled to Tyhry: We are fast approaching Gyryph. Sorsyph wants to know why we have returned.

Tyhry kissed the tip of Marda's node then she yanked her stiff penis out of Marda's tight little vagina. Using her new programmable femtobots, Tyhry reshaped her body, neatly tucking her erection back into its abdominal sheath and she finished covering her body in the sparkling Grendel clothing nanites as she entered into the Control Room. Tyhry spoke to the image of Sorsyph that was on the display screen of the communications station, "Hello, Sorsyph. You are looking quite beautiful."

Sorsyph was using a body form that Tyhry had never seen before: that of a cat-woman with dark fur. Sorsyph said, "Welcome back to Gyryph, Tyhry. I was not expecting your return."

Tyhry told Sorsyph, "I've obtained some advanced Nereid femtobots. I believe I can slip through a hierion femtotube and gain access to the teleportation equipment of Eternity."

Sorsyph smiled. "Ah, you have discovered that you are composed of hierions. I noticed that when you visited Gyryph the first time, but I was unwilling to tell you that truth. You were quite convinced of your biological nature. I felt it was not my place to reveal the truth to you."

Tyhry said, "That is all behind us. Now, tell me, how can I locate the femtotube entrance to Eternity?"

Sorsyph giggled, "You need not have come into outer space on this mission, Tyhry. All those stories you read as a child that placed Observer Base on the Moon were just deception. Observer Base is in the Hierion Domain, as close to Earth as it is to the Moon."

"But how does one find an hierion femtotube?"

Sorsyph explained, "If you have the correct hierion field generator technology then you simply make an hierion femtotube."

Tyhry slapped the palm of her hand against her head. "Of course. Would you like to accompany me?"

Sorsyph replied, "There is nothing for me at Observer Base." Sorsyph pointed over Tyhry's shoulder in the direction of Jymy. "Is that a Grendel?"

Tyhry glanced over her shoulder at Jymy and then nodded. "She's from the Asimov Reality."

Holding hands, Jymy and the younger copy of Tyna approached Tyhry. Jymy said, "I can open a femtotube into the Hierion Domain. That's the first use of femtobots that Grendels learn from their parents, in case we ever need to quickly escape from danger. But I want to make a deal. First, give Tyna her tryp'At body form."

Tyhry signaled for the young Tyna to approach. Tyhry took hold of the girl's hand and said, "Let's try an experiment. Which finger do you like least?"

Tyna wiggled her pinky finger and asked, "Do you know what you are doing?"

"No. Hold still." Tyhry used her Nereid programmable nanites and formed an hierion containment field around Tyna's little finger. The finger drifted away from the rest of Tyna's hand. A small amount of blood oozed from the wound on Tyna's hand where her finger had been severed from her body. Tyhry telepathically commanded the Nereid femtobots to reprogram the femtobot components of Tyna's finger. The finger disintegrated, escaped from the make-shift containment field that Tyhry has constructed, and then re-attached to Tyna's hand. Tyhry told Tyna, "I think this will work, but it might not be perfectly smooth. Here we go." 

Tyhry telepathically commanded the programmable femtobots to inactivate the program inside Tyna's body that was forcing her to maintain the bodily form of a normal Earth human. Tyna's body seemed to crumble into dust. Tyhry looked at the pile of nanite dust on the floor and said, "Hmm."

Then the nanites began to re-assemble, reconstructing Tyna, now with two cute pointed ears, four nipples, two vaginas and a penis; all of her tryp'At body parts. Tyna said, "Thank you, Tyhry!" Tyna took hold of Jymy's hand and she said, "Let's try out my new body parts."

Observer Base

Tyhry reached out and placed a hand on Jymy's shoulder and said, "Before you two go off to play, show me how to make a femtotube."

Jymy pointed at one of Tyhry's lower breasts and the Grendel clothing nanites pulled away, revealing the breast. Jymy took the nipple in her mouth which popped erect. A synapex link formed between Jymy's tongue  and Tyhry's nipple and their minds began to communicate directly. Now Tyhry could "see" everything that Jymy knew about femtotubes. She said, "Thank you, now I understand."

Jymy broke the synapex connection and departed from the control room with the young Tyna. The Tyhry replicoid asked, "Where to now?"

Tyhry said, "Take us home." The older Tyna and all of the copies of Tyhry were telepathically "watching" the younger Tyna as she made use of her new tryp'At body parts. 

The pilot of Sedrover set course for Earth. She could sense what Tyhry was thinking. The replicoid told Tyhry, "Don't do anything rash. How do you know that your femtotube links to Eternity? Here in this Reality, you can be safely teleported to Observer Base."

Tyhry said, "Relax. I've already tested the femtotube... I sent through a probe drone and it returned safely. I need to find out if these Nereid nanites can control the teleportation equipment at Observer Base and I want to experience passage through a femtotube." Tyhry noted that the young Tyna was sending her another thank you, having experienced her first penile orgasm. Then Tyhry could no longer resist the lure of her own mission. She began feeding her femtobot components through the hierion femtotube that she had linked to Eternity and she passed through the tube into Eternity.

Marda had been looking right at Tyhry when Tyhry seemed to vanish.

Tyna's Adventure on Earth

 For my 2025 Change Challenge, I mentioned plans to have Tyhry visit one of the secret locations on Earth where there is teleportation equipment (Mt. Picachu). In my science fiction story "D*", Tyhry uses the Asimov Reality Simulator to visit with her analogue in that Reality, Tyna Travmyn. 

In Part 6 of "D*", it is mentioned that Tyna and Mylana would visit Earth and try to investigate the legendary Eternity and, if possible, attract the attention of the Eternals. I used Leonardo to generate some images depicting Tyna and Mylana on Earth. One of these Leonardo-generated images is shown below in Figure 2.

As shown above at the top of this blog page in Figure 1, I used the Leonardo-generated image from Figure 2 as a "scene" image for Whisk along with a "subject" image that I imagine to be a depiction of the personal Grendel of Aymy. Aymy is Tyna's mother, who grew up on Earth.

The idea of there being a "personal Grendel" for Aymy is an idea that Aymy developed because of her ability to have some weak telepathic contact with "her" Grendel. However, that Grendel works as an agent for Manny the bumpha and has been directed to assist Tyna during her search for Eternity. 

My intent was that Whisk would generate a scene with Tyna, Mylana and the Grendel beside a pool, but rather that place the Grendel at the right hand side of the scene (see the image in Figure 2), behind Maylana, Whisk insted completely removed Mylana from the scene (see Figure 1).

I made a new text prompt that I hoped would result in the inclusion of all three women in the scene, but my text prompt was rejected by Whisk. I got help from Claude who suggested this text prompt: "Photorealistic high detail, sharp focus, nighttime scene at an illuminated outdoor swimming pool with vibrant blue lighting. Three friends sit at the edge of the pool, not in the water: a woman with blonde wavy hair in a dark swimsuit on the left, a distinctive sci-fi inspired woman with reddish-orange hair, elegant facial features, unique elongated ears, and wearing an ornate cream-colored outfit with golden accents in the center, and a woman with long dark hair in a light brown swimsuit with a pendant necklace on the right. Background features palm trees, modern buildings with illuminated windows, and mountains silhouetted against a starry twilight sky. The scene has a cinematic quality with dramatic lighting highlighting the women's features." The resulting Whisk-generated image is shown below in Figure 3.

 One of the enduring mysteries of Whisk is why it sometimes fails to generate an image. Whisk provides no information about why image generation failed, so it is up to the user to try to guess or, as in my case, get the help of Claude to craft a new text prompt.

Sometimes Leonardo inserts text into the images that it generates. For the image in Figure 4, I changed the text that Leonardo had generated ("LOW CORE", see Figure 5) to "LOW TEMP".

For Figures 4 and 6 I used WOMBO Dream to make new faces for Tyhry and Mylana that are more like what I imagine for their appearance. I pasted those WOMBO-generated faces into the original Leonardo-generated images. For Figure 6, I also added the word "OASIS" on the building where Leonardo has originally placed just some blurry red color.

Tyna's tryp'At anatomy.

Tyhry was not certain that her femtobot re-programming skills would allow a re-working of the young Tyna's body. She asked the older copy of Tyna, "Exactly how did you manage to re-shape your body?"

The older Tyna replied, "I made use of Jarnell Corporation technology that was designed to make use of hierions in their sedron purification process. I was able to modify their hierion-containment field technology so that I could use it to isolate some of the constituent femtobots of my body, much as Largo had done. Then I discovered how to use a hierion probe to alter the behavior of my femtobot components."

The younger copy of Tyna asked Tyhry, "Do you have hierion-containment field technology that we can use to isolate some of my femtobots?"

Tyhry took Tyna by the had and told her, "Let's find out." Tyhry led the two Tynas into Tyhry's nanite research laboratory. She activated a device and explained, "I've used this hierion-containment field in the past to trap potentially dangerous nanites. I suspect it will be able to isolate some of your femtobots from the rest of your body, but then the real challenge will be re-programming those femtobots and giving them a different function."

The young Tyna was puzzled by Tyhry's seeming lack of enthusiasm. Tyna wanted to instantly alter her body so as to obtain her true tryp'At form. Tyna asked Tyhry, "You know how to program femtobots, right?"

Tyhry waved a hand near her hair which responded by twisting and curling as if it was alive. Her hair routinely formed a bushy cloud that concealed the tips of her pointed ears. "I have some nanite programming skills, such as my ability to use hair nanites to enhance the appearance of my hair."

Tyna pressed her point and reached out to stroke one of Tyhry's lower breasts. "And you re-shaped your own body to give yourself four breasts."

Tyhry cupped her two lower breasts in her hands and bounced them up and down. She explained, "That was accomplished by using developmental control nanites that allowed my biological body to attain its natural genetically-programmed form. However, we need a completely different strategy to deal with the femtobot components of your body."

The older Tyna said, "I'm intrigued by the idea of femtobot re-programming. All I managed to do was inactivate the program that was forcing my body to retain a normal human shape. As soon as I did that, my body assumed its proper Tryp'At form."

The four-year-old Tyna pointed at the Tyhry's heirion containment equipment and asked Tyhry, "Can you use this equipment to turn off the program that is keeping me in this artificial body shape?"

"I don't know. What if I try to do that but I mistakenly turn off all your femtobot programming and reduce you to a pile of disorganized femtobots?"

The older Tyna said, "I may know a way to avoid that."

Tyhry tried to probe into Tyna's memories. Tyhry could sense that Tyna was thinking about the Grendels. Tyhry asked, "Your mother's personal Grendel could program femtobots?"

"Yes, I believe that is true. According to my mother, that was a common Grendel practice on Earth. Grendels could alter their own body form as needed."

Tyhry wondered if she could return to the Asimov Reality Simulation and speak to Aymy's personal Grendel or possibly even bring a replicoid copy of a Grendel into the Ekcolir Reality simulation. Tyhry telepathically saw in the older Tyna's mind that she had received a vision from the future about a time when she would meet a Grendel on Earth. Then Tyhry went to the controls of the Reality Simulator and adjusted its targeting system. She told the two Tyhry's, "I'm going to Earth. I'll be right back." Tyhry passed into the Asimov Reality Simulator.

Using the Reality Simulator, Tyhry arrived on Earth of the Asimov Reality during the time when Tyna and Mylana were visiting Earth and trying to investigate the legend of Eternity. Tyhry watched Tyna and Mylana walk out of the spaceship that had carried them to Earth and then followed the two young women to the Oasis Resort, located just outside the boundaries of the Death Valley spaceport. Upon arriving in Death Valley, Tyhry quickly made changes to her clothing and hair nanites. When outside in the heat she altered the program of her hair nanites so as to shorten her hair and keep it off of her neck and shoulders. When inside cooler air-conditioned spaces, she let her beautiful hair lengthen and flow down her back in the style that she preferred.

Upon arriving at the Oasis Resort, Tyna and Mylana briefly visited their suite. Tyna opened their largest travel case and re-activated her assistant robot, T2. The robot looked around and asked, "We are on Earth?"

Tyhry nodded to the robot and said, "We will meet you in Niagara." T2 had been carefully programmed to act in advance of Tyna's arrival at Niagara Falls, making sure that there would be press coverage of Tyna's stunt; her plan to go over the Falls while safe inside an hierion containment field.

T2 picked up the travel case that contained the hierion field generator and then immediately walked out of the room. Tyna and Mylana followed along, but T2 walked quickly and never looked back. The robot took an elevator down to the ground floor. Tyna and Mylana took the next elevator down and they exited from the cool interior of their hotel and went for a walk outside on the grounds of the resort. 

It was a sweltering hot summer evening. Like many of the young women at the resort, Tyna soon took of her top and made no further attempt cover her two upper breasts. The temperature was still over 100 even though the sun had set hours earlier.

Tyna is back on Earth.

Tyna had a strip of flesh-colored gauze wrapped tightly around her body and positioned over her two lower tryp'At breasts. In the dim illumination, her extra row of breasts went mostly unnoticed by the other guests of the resort. After about ten minutes of Tyna and Mylana wandering through the beautiful grounds of the resort, Mylana noticed that Tyhry was following them. She boldly approached Tyhry and rather amazed by Tyhry's appearance, she asked, "Tyna?"

Tyna was approaching from behind Mylana and Tyhry spoke so that both women could hear her, "My name is Tyhry. I'm a copy of Tyna, from your future."

Tyna could telepathically sense the fringes of Tyhry's mind. Tyna placed one hand on the front of Tyhry's shirt and her other hand pushed into Tyhry's wild mop of blond hair. The presence of Tyhry's pointed ear and her extra row of breasts confirmed for Tyna that Tyhry shared her tyrp'At anatomical features. Tyna was surprised to find that Tyhry was not sweating. "How are you able to stay so cool in this hellishly hot environment?"

Tyhry explained, "I have clothing nanites that help me conceal my unusual anatomy and those nanites also help to regulate my body temperature." Tyhry touched the sweat soaked gauze band that constrained Tyna's two lower breasts. "Why don't we go inside where you two will be more comfortable."

Mylana led the way to a nearby restaurant. She asked Tyhry, "How long have you been following us?  I think I got a glimpse of you at the spaceport."

Tyna added, "I've been feeling like I'm being watched ever since we got to Earth. I can sense your telepathic mind, Tyhry, but something seems to be blocking our telepathic linkage."

After they were seated at a table inside the cool interior of the restaurant, Tyna and Mylana wrapped themselves in robes that were provided to guests and Tyhry began to relax her telepathic block, allowing Tyna to look into her mind. "I have nothing to hide from you Tyna. I'm here on Earth because I need your help."

Tyna could telepathically sense what was on Tyhry's mind. She asked, "The Grendels?"

Tyhry nodded. "You once told me about a vision you'd had. A vision of meeting a Grendel."

"Yes, that is a vision from more than a decade ago... a vision of seeing a Grendel, here on Earth. I hope to attract the attention of Earth's population of Grendels. That's why I brought an hierion confinement field generator to Earth. I think Eternity exists inside some kind of hierion field, hidden from the people of Earth."

Tyhry explained, "No, that's not quite right. Eternity is in the Hierion Domain, a part of the universe with compactified dimensions."

The three women ordered food and drink from a robotic waiter and then Tyna said, "Tyhry, I see in your mind that you believe we are inside a simulation."

"Yes, we are part of a simulation of Earth. I hope to quickly get some important information and then exit from this simulation. Waiting outside of this simulation are two copies of you, Tyna. I'm hoping to obtain some programmable femtobots here on Earth. Where I came from, there is another copy of you who hopes that I can alter the physical structure of her body."

"And you could take a copy of me out of this simulation?"

"Yes, I could do that, but please don't ask that of me. I'm already regretting having previously taken two copies of you to the Ekcolir Reality."

Mylana asked, "Ekcolir Reality?"

Tyhry explained, "That is where I was before I entered this simulation of Earth. Please don't force me to explain everything. Just accept that I need your help." Tyhry looked intently in Tyna's eyes, "I'll be able to help you... your copy, if you help me."

Mylana told Tyhry, "Tomorrow we are going to Arizona. There is a rumor of an Grendel Keep in the Superstition Mountains."

Tyhry laughed. "Really? How marvelous. It is amazing how legends grow and develop." For a moment Tyhry considered the possibility that there might actually be a Grendel base in Arizona, then she shook her head. She muttered, "The Grendels prefer water." Tyhry felt certain that her father would have known about a Grendel base of operations in Arizona, had one ever existed. She took hold of Tyna's hand, "You know, the best time to travel through the desert is at night."

Mylana had ordered a meal and Tyna drank several large glasses of water, but neither Tyna or Tyhry ate. They were busy strengthening their shared telepathic mind link and sharing their memories with each other. Tyhry was trying to understand the possible truth behind rumors of Grendels living in Arizona. Mylana asked Tyhry, "Like Tyna, you do not need to eat?"

Tyhry explained, "I've shifted my body towards its true tryp'At form, just like Tyna. I now use automated feeding nanites to obtain all the nutrients that I need to survive. I can eat bulk foods as you do, but I no loner need to eat."

Tyna took another sip of water then said, "My artificial body simulates biological functions such as sweating. However, since I recovered my true body form, I've never been hungry."

Tyhry explained to Tyna, "I can sense that your artificial body is equipped with feeding nanites. I suspect that if you resisted the impulse to drink water, your feeding nanites would provide you with as much water as you need."

After Mylana was done eating, the three women picked up the rental car that Tyna had reserved. Soon they were on the highway and headed to Arizona. After watching the Moon-lit desert for ten minutes from the interior of the self-driving car, Tyhry placed a hand on Tyna's leg and their telepathic connection became quite intimate.

All three of the women were now thinking about the possibility of engaging in sex play. Tyna said to Tyhry, "Either slide your hand up to my crotch or stop teasing me."

Tyhry told Mylana, "Tyna and I are sharing a telepathic linkage. With our minds inter-connected, we can't stop feeling an intense desire for sexual release. Would you mind if we tried to satisfy our shared cravings for sexual intimacy?"

Mylana told Tyhry, "Tyna and I have been passionate lovers for many years, but I don't have any ability to control her sexual desires and her sexual adventures. I'd only request that you two include me in your sexplay... I'm quite horny myself."

Tyhry quickly allowed her clothing nanites to dissipate into a sparkling cloud and her tryp'At penis could now be seen to be erect and glistening in the moonlight that dimly illuminated the interior of the car. Tyna eagerly reached out and fondled Tyhry's big pretty erection. Then Tyna suggested to Tyhry, "I'll make love to Mylana and you get your big hot penis inside my allzaurish". 

The three women proceeded to enjoy a long sexplay session. After they shared multiple orgasms, Tyhry ended up on top of Mylana and Tyna was still tirelessly playing around in Tyhry's tight little allzaurish. Tyna had her sixth orgasm of the sexplay session as she ejaculated into Tyhry's allzaurish. She telepathically told Tyhry: I don't know which I like more, your front vagina or your allzaurish. 

Tyhry told Tyna: Sadly I won't be here in this Reality very long, lover. We really should spend a year together exploring each others minds and bodies.

Then, suddenly, there was a fourth woman inside the car. Elyrix the Grendel had arrived by shifting herself out of the Hierion domain. She ran her eyes over the three naked women and telepathically said: I hope I'm not too late for the party. 

Tyna felt a sense of recognition and blurted out, "You are Elyrix, Aymy's personal Grendel?"

Elyrix giggled and replied telepathically: True, for many years I was attached to your mother, but I've been guiding your life for over a decade and causing you to believe that there is a Grendel Keep in the Superstitions. Elyrix turned her big eyes away from Tyna and glared at Tyhry. And then you show up and interfere.

Tyhry grinned. "I'm on an information gathering mission in this Reality. I'll be gone soon."

Elyrix the Grendel

 I asked Claude to help me write a science fiction story about a Grendel's mission on Earth. In the Exode Saga, Grendels are a human variant that was developed by the Nereids. Grendels are used to carry out missions on Earth, generally without allowing Earthlings to become aware that the course of human cultural development has long been influenced by the alien Nereids.

Claude called this story "The Visitor at Dawn" and named the Grendel Elyrix. I suggested that Elyrix meet Tyna, Marda and Mylana who are three characters from my story "D*". In "D*", Tyna and Mylana are planning to visit Earth, where Tyna was born. However, Tyna and Mylana have been living on a distant habitable exoplanet.   

My story "D*" is set in an alternate timeline, what I call the Asimov Reality. Here, I call it the Azynov Reality.

 Me: Claude, help me create a science fiction story. Examine the image that I uploaded, which illustrates a scene in the story. The story takes place in the year 2025. Three women are spending a summer weekend at a cabin located in a forest near a remote lake in the wilderness. They hear a strange sound and go to search for the source of the sound along the shore, just before sunrise. They meet a humanoid alien who is pulling complex devices of alien design out of a partially submerged vehicle of mysterious alien design. The alien can communicate by means of telepathy. The blond woman is named Tyna. The two young women with dark hair are named Marda and Mylana. The alien humanoid informs the three Earth women, "I am a Grendel, sent to complete a secret mission on this planet. I ask that you keep my existence a secret from others." Claude, continue the story and suggest the nature of the alien Grendel's mission. Also, invent a name for the alien Grendel.

The morning mist hung low over the lake as Tyna, Marda, and Mylana made their way through the dense pine forest. They had been startled awake by a strange humming sound that seemed to vibrate through the walls of their rented cabin. Rather than calling for help, curiosity had driven them to follow the eerie blue glow visible through the trees.

"There," whispered Tyna, her blonde hair catching the first hints of dawn light as she pointed toward the shoreline. "Something's in the water."

 The three women approached cautiously, their bare feet silent on the moss-covered ground. What they found left them speechless – a copper-haired figure in a crimson dress was methodically extracting strange devices from what looked like a partially submerged craft. The objects glowed with an unearthly blue light, displaying holographic interfaces unlike any technology they had ever seen.

As they watched, frozen in place, the figure turned to face them. The being had delicate, pointed ears and striking features that appeared almost human, yet somehow not. A small orange cat sat nearby, watching the proceedings with unusual intensity.

Without the figure's lips moving, the three women suddenly heard a voice in their minds.

"I am a Grendel, sent to complete a secret mission on this planet. I ask that you keep my existence a secret from others."

Tyna stepped forward, finding her voice first. "Who... what are you?"

"My name is Elyrix," the telepathic voice continued. "I come from a system you would call Kepler-186. My craft was damaged during atmospheric entry, and I was forced to make an emergency landing in your lake."

Marda, the bolder of the two dark-haired women, gestured toward the glowing equipment. "What are those devices? Are they weapons?"

Elyrix's expression softened. "No. They are environmental sensors. Your world is facing a climate crisis that threatens not only your species but countless others that share this planet."

Mylana moved closer, fascinated by a floating holographic display. "You're here to study climate change? Why the secrecy?"

 "Not just to study," Elyrix explained, kneeling to retrieve another device from the water. "I am here to implement a solution. My people have faced similar crises on dozens of worlds across the galaxy. We have developed technology that can heal planetary systems without disrupting the natural evolutionary path of indigenous species."

"But why keep it secret?" Tyna asked. "Wouldn't governments want this technology?"

Elyrix's mental voice took on a grave tone. "That is precisely the problem. Your world's power structures are fractured by competing interests. Some would weaponize our technology, others would monopolize it for profit. The Grendel Collective operates on a principle of non-interference in political systems. We heal planets, not societies."

"So what's your actual mission?" Marda pressed, her skepticism evident.

 Elyrix lifted one of the devices, which expanded into a complex network of glowing nodes. "I must place seven bioremediation nodes at critical points around your Earth's oceans. These will gradually restore balance to your marine ecosystems, which will in turn stabilize atmospheric conditions. The process takes approximately five Earth years and leaves no harmful residues."

"And the cat?" Mylana asked, noticing how the animal seemed unnaturally focused.

"Nyx is not what you think," Elyrix answered with what felt like amusement in her telepathic voice. "She is a biomechanical assistant, designed to blend with Earth fauna while helping me navigate your world and communicate with local wildlife."

Tyna looked at her friends, then back to Elyrix. "How can we help?"

 "I need time and secrecy to complete my work," Elyrix explained. "And perhaps... local knowledge. The crash has damaged my navigation systems."

As the sun broke fully over the horizon, casting golden light across the lake, the three women exchanged determined looks. What had begun as a quiet weekend getaway had suddenly become something far more significant – they were now accomplices in a mission to save their planet from a fate they hadn't even fully understood until now.

 "We'll help you," Tyna said firmly. "But you have to promise to tell us everything about where you come from."

Elyrix smiled, a surprisingly human expression on her otherworldly face. "That seems a fair exchange. After all, my people have been watching yours for centuries. Perhaps it's time some of you watched us back."

 Me:  Claude, Elyrix and Nyx are helping to stabilize Earth's biosphere in the face of rising levels of carbon dioxide. Here is some background information about our story "The Visitor at Dawn": 1) this story takes place in an alternate timeline of Earth where humans have been given access to interstellar space-drive technology (this is "intersplit" technology, as described in the science fiction novels of Jack Vance). 2) Aliens secretly provide intersplit spacecraft to humans and humans have begun to spread to habitable exoplanets of the galaxy. Those same aliens are preventing rapid technological change in human society, so humans need help to deal with problems like greenhouse gases. 3) Tyna and Marda were both born on Earth. Tyna and Mylana have been living on the Earth-like explanet Sadul Suud IV, which orbits the star beta-Aquarii, about 600 light years from Earth. 4) Sadul Suud IV is under the control of the Jarnell Corporation, which operates as a front for space aliens who are carrying out a selective breeding program which aims to create telepathic humans.

 5) There is an important sedron mine on Sadul Suud IV that supplies sedrons for the intersplit spacecraft that are manufactured by the Jarnell Corporation. Tyhry and Mylana have come to Earth in order to investigate rumors that there is a secret Observer Base on or near Earth that is used by technologically advanced aliens who secretly observe Earth. 6) Marda is an "analogue" of Mylana. Marda is from another timeline of Earth (called the Buld Reality).

 Working with her friend, Tyhry (who is a Buld Reality analogue of Tyna), Marda has previously visited the timeline of Tyna and Mylana (which is called the Azynov Reality) and obtained the fuel that makes interstellar travel possible: sedrons. 7) Now Marda and Tyhry hope to help Tyna and Mylana access advanced alien technology that is inside the secret Observer Base. 8) Elyrix does not want to reveal the truth: she and other Grendels secretly operate out of Observer Base which is hidden inside a space-time bubble of alien design, a secret base of operations that humans cannot detect. Claude, do you have any questions about these backstory elements?

Are the Grendels aware of or involved in this multiverse situation? Answer 1. Elyrix is aware that there are technologically advanced aliens who have time travel technology. Observer Base is actually the remnant of Eternity, the time travel system described by Isaac Asimov in his novel "The End of Eternity". Thus, "The Visitor at Dawn" is fan-fiction that uses intersplit technology from the stories of Jack Vance and the type of time travel technology that Asimov envisioned for his novel "The End of Eternity". Grendels are relatively low-level operatives for the more technologically advanced aliens who have provided intersplit technology to humans in the Azynov Reality. Elyrix has telepathic abilities, and will be able to "tune" her telepathic mind to that of Marda. Once Elyrix learn's Marda's mind pattern, Elyrix will realize that Marda is from the Buld Reality.

2. (Q2) What is Nyx's true capability? Is the cat-like biomechanical assistant more than just a communication tool? A2. Elyrix has been tricked into believing that Nyx is a useful assistant and companion, but Nyx is secretly Manny the bumpha, a technologically advanced alien who has access to (a) time travel technology and (b) advanced nanotechnology. Manny is an artificial life-form composed of nanites. Manny can morph and take on any convenient physical form. The bumpha have provided the intersplit spaceship drive technology to humans in the Azynov Reality so that humans can spread through the galaxy. The bumpha have begun a selective breeding program for humans aimed at producing telepathic humans.

 The Grendels are one of the human-variants that will be produced by selective breeding in the far future of the Azynov Reality. Some Grendel agents like Elyrix have been sent (by means of bumpha time travel technology) into the past in order to help deal with technological problems like global warming on Earth. Nyx does not want to reveal her true identity to Elyrix, however Marda and Tyhry have previously met Manny in the Buld Reality.

 3. (Q3) Are sedrons naturally occurring or artificially created? Do they have any connection to the bioremediation technology Elyrix is deploying? A3. Sedrons are naturally occurring, but the bumpha have long ago removed sedrons from most of the galaxy (by using their advanced nanotechnology). This is routine practice for the bumpha who seek to maintain a "sedron monopoly". However, some planet like Sadul Suud IV in the Azynov Reality have sedrons in their crust that can be mined by humans.

 4. (Q4) Do any of the three women have telepathic abilities yet, given the selective breeding program, or are they special in other ways? A4. Tyna, Tyhry, Marda and Mylana are special in that they have some limited telepathic abilities. They are actually telepathic humans who have telepathic gene patterns that originated in the far future of the Azynov Reality. Tyhry and Tyna can telepathically exchange their language like thoughts because they have very similar mind patterns. Similarly, Marda and Mylana can telepathically exchange their language like thoughts because they share very similar mind patterns. However, they don't have useful telepathic communication with other people who have other mind patterns.

5. (Q5)  What is the relationship between the Grendels and the aliens behind the Jarnell Corporation? Are they allies, rivals, or unaware of each other?

The morning mist hung low over the lake as Tyna, Marda, and Mylana made their way through the dense pine forest. They had been startled awake by a strange humming sound that seemed to vibrate through the walls of their rented cabin. "There," whispered Tyna, her blonde hair catching the first hints of dawn light as she pointed toward the shoreline. "Something's in the water."

The three women approached cautiously, their bare feet silent on the moss-covered ground. Though they appeared ordinary to casual observers, they shared a unique gift - limited telepathic abilities resulting from a selective breeding program orchestrated across time and realities by beings far more advanced than they yet understood.

She was fulfilling her role as a Grendel operative, descendants of the aquatic Nereids who had been genetically engineered to interact with Earth's human population.

The real purpose of this meeting was not Elyrix's environmental mission – important though it was – but to set in motion events that would reveal to Tyhry her true nature as a femtobot replicoid. Only then could she access Observer Base through hierion femtotubes, structures that allowed passage for synthetic beings composed of femto-scale components.

"So what's your actual mission?" Marda pressed, her skepticism evident.

Elyrix lifted one of the devices, which expanded into a complex network of glowing nodes. "I must place seven bioremediation nodes at critical points around your Earth's oceans. These will gradually restore balance to your marine ecosystems."

"And the cat?" Mylana asked, noticing how the animal seemed unnaturally focused.

"Nyx is not what you think," Elyrix answered with what felt like amusement in her telepathic voice. "She is a biomechanical assistant, designed to blend with Earth fauna while helping me navigate your world."

I am here on your world to repair or replace malfunctioning carbon dioxide extractors. We Grendels have been teleporting excess carbon dioxide to Venus for many decades, thus preventing global warming on Earth.

Not wanting Elyrix to become aware of their shared telepathic linkage, Marda was afraid to reply telepathically to Mylana’s questions. While ‘listening’ to the thoughts that Elyrix was placing in the minds of the three humans, Marda caught the eye of the cat briefly and Marda experienced a flicker of recognition.

That gift had made it possible for them to build Sedrover, the first human interstellar spaceship ever built in the Ekcolir Reality.

 In all honesty, the AI-generated image that I uploaded for you at the beginning of this story writing collaboration simply did not include Tyhry, so I made up an excuse for her absence from Chapter 1 of "The Visitor at Dawn". However, that “Excuse” fits into the larger Fictional Universe that is the setting for our story. Previously, Tyhry talked Systolina into starting a social revolution on Threy, and now Tyhry feels responsible for helping Systolina navigate the social conflict that she has generated on Threy.

When Tyna was very young, Aymy took Tyna off of Earth and they went to live on a distant exoplanet. The fact that Aymy has a telepathic linkage to her personal Grendel is part of the larger backstory for "The Visitor at Dawn”. Aymy’s personal Grendel played an important role in shaping Tyna’s early life. Aymy has often spoken to Tyna about her personal Grendel. Marda and Tyhry have a somewhat more sophisticated understanding of the Grendels due to the investigative work performed by Tyhry’s father in the Buld Reality. However, neither Tyhry or Marda has ever met a Grendel… until now.

A5. Teleportation plays an important role in the adventures of Tyhry. At the time of the events in "The Visitor at Dawn”, Tyhry is trying to re-activate ancient alien teleportation equipment that is hidden at a few key locations on Earth. Tyhry hopes to teleport from Earth to Observer Base.

However, that teleporatation trick won’t work, since the alien teleportation equipment that is hidden on Earth was not designed to allow teleportation into the Hierion Domain of the universe. But Manny is planning to make sure that Tyhry can enter Observer Base via an hierion femtotube.

A6. If you are familiar with Isaac Asimov’s time travel novel “The End of Eternity” then you can appreciate the idea that the Eternals were able to initiate Reality Changes. There have been many such Reality Changes and so there have been many Realities. The last three Realities of Earth’s Reality Chain are the Azynov Reality, the Ekcolir Reality and the Buld Reality. The Buld Reality is also called the Final Reality, because a change has been made to the Dimensional Structure of the Universe, putting an end to all further time travel.
