Nanoscopic Femtozoans

Tyhry contacts a Grendel in Nanoville.
Below on this page is Part 10 of the science fiction story "D*". At the end of Part 9, Tyhry had just passed through an hierion femtotube, allowing her entry into Observer Base, which in the Ekcolir Reality was the common name for the space-time bubble inside the Hierion Domain that had originally been known as Eternity in the early Realities of Deep Time.

Tyhry is on a mission to test some programmable femtobots that she recently obtained from the Nereids. Tyhry is eager to determine if these alien femtobots can function to control the teleportation equipment at Observer Base.

Yira is the replicoid of Mary Godwin.
Upon arriving inside Observer Base, Tyhry must confront the challenge of gaining access to what she thinks of as Grean's Workshop. When Wendy the probot refuses to give Tyhry access to the Workshop, Tyhry visits the Writers Block where she is advised to seek the help of the residents of Nanoville, who are nanoscopic femtozoans.

Part 10 of D* (Part 1)(Part 2)(Part 3)(Part 4)(Part 5)(Part 6)(Part 7)(Part 8)(Part 9)

Tyhry's femtobot components passed through the hierion femtotube and arrived inside the Hierion Domain at the space-time bubble known as Observer Base. Because of the work of her father and her sister Rylla, Tyhry had known the location of the fishbowl, the central facility of Observer Base where operatives could observe events that were taking place on Earth.

The Observer Base fishbowl.
Tyhry peeked into the fishbowl and saw a few individuals at work, investigated events that were taking place on Earth. Tyhry resisted the temptation to enter the fishbowl and instead turned and exited from the building. Tyhry tried to orient herself. The city center was much as she had imagined it. She walked a short distance down the street and went down an escalator into a subway station. Boarding a waiting passenger car, she said, "Take me to Grean's Workshop".

A voice said, "Grean is no longer in residence".

Tyhry was aware that Grean had departed into the far past of the Ekcolir Reality, but she had hoped that the automated transit system would take her to the Workshop. Tyhry tried again: "Take me to Wendy the probot." Tyhry was soon on her way as the transport pod sealed shut and moved off into a tunnel.

After a short, high-speed ride out from the city center, the transport pod pulled into another station and slowed to a stop. Tyhry climbed out of the pod, went up an escalator and emerged in what looked like a carefully tended garden. Tyhry recalled that in some of the stories from the Ekcolir Reality, Wendy had been described as spending much of her time as a gardener, caring for the grounds around Grean's Workshop. It was not obvious to Tyhry in what direction the workshop might lay. Tyhry started down what looked to be the most well-traveled path.

Artep, Mary and a Grendel at the Writers Block.
Tyhry was enjoying the assortment of blooming plants in the garden and she was surprised by the large number of bees, butterflies and birds that moved through the garden. Suddenly a large animal that Tyhry at first imagined to be a bird whizzed by her shoulder. Then Tyhry could focus her eyes on what appeared to be a cute one foot tall woman who now hovered in mid-air in front of Tyhry. The flying woman said, "Welcome to Observer Base, Tyhry."

Tyhry tried to identify the small woman. Tyhry had read stories about the residents of Seelie and now Tyhry felt a weak telepathic connection to the flying woman. Tyhry guessed, "Are you Artep?"

Artep replied, "Yes, that's me. Mary is on her way from the Writers Block... on foot. Wendy refused to teleport Mary over here."

Tyhry asked, "But you can guide me to Wendy?"

"I can, but Mary wants to speak to you first."

"I assume you mean Mary Godwin?"

"Yes, that's right. I sense in your thoughts that you have some familiarity with the residents of Observer Base."

"My father and my sister, Rylla, have shared many stories about Observer Base with me." Tyhry tried to move past Artep and continue down the path.

Artep asked, "You are a new arrival from Earth?" Artep was now rather furiously zooming back and forth in front to Tyhry, trying make Tyhry stop walking.

"Yes, I grew up on Earth. In my Reality, it has been impossible to travel between Earth and Observer Base... the teleportation equipment was inactivated."

A voice called from the distance. "Wait for me!"

Tyhry turned and watched Mary run along the trail. Finally reaching Tyhry, Mary slowed to a stop and said, "I thought all of the tryp'At had been driven out of Observer Base."

Inside Grean's Workshop.
Tyhry explained, "I'm a new arrival, from the Final Reality. I believe that my endosymbionts have been adjusted to work with Bimanoid Interface 2.0, so I'm under no telepathic compulsion to depart. I'm here to perform an experiment in Grean's Workshop."

Artep told Mary, "I sense in Tyhry's mind that she believes that we are inside a simulation."

Mary told Tyhry, "There is Reality Simulation equipment in Grean's Workshop, but Wendy does not allow anyone in there."

Tyhry giggled, "It must be frustrating to know that so much advanced alien technology is there inside the Workshop, but beyond your reach."

Mary nodded. "We can only influence events on Earth by means of technology-assisted telepathy, and that is not a very reliable technique for we humans."

Artep told Mary, "I sense in Tyhry's mind that she is an artificial life form."

The Trysta-Grean Pact.
Tyhry said, "If I knew where the Workshop is located, I could access its interior by means of an hierion femtotube."

Mary asked excitedly, "You can create hierion femtotubes? You could open one to link us to Earth!"

"Yes, I could do that, but first I want to complete my mission. I suspect that I will find the Workshop if I continue down this trail." Tyhry resumed walking down the path that meandered through the garden.

Mary said, "I'll make a deal with you. I'll help you get into the Workshop and then you will re-pay me by making an hierion femtotube that links form the Writers Block to Earth."

Tyhry looked over her shoulder at Mary and said, "So that you can send replicoids through the tube to Earth? That would violate the terms of the Trysta-Grean Pact."

Wendy
Tyhry turned her head back to face the direction that she was walking and now she saw another woman who was walking down the trail ahead of her. "That must be Wendy."

Artep commented, "She's not going to let you into the Workshop."

When Tyhry was about five feet from Wendy, Tyhry stopped walking and said, "I'd like to perform an experiment inside the Workshop." Looking past Wendy, Tyhry could see the Workshop in the distance, mostly hidden among foliage.

Wendy said, "Using the teleporter is forbidden."

Tyhry said, "Robot, I order you to allow me to perform this experiment. Open the door to the Workshop.

Wendy said, "I serve Humanity. It is best for Humanity that there be no more teleportation of people to Earth. I cannot obey your order."

Tyhry insisted, "I'm not going to teleport anyone to Earth."

"You are nothing but trouble, Tyhry. You should not be here at all."

Tyhry tried another approach. "This is all a Simulation. Nothing that we do here actually matters... except for me. I will return to the Final Reality and make use of what I learn here. Wendy, I order you to let me enter the Workshop."

The Laws of Robotics.
Wendy crossed her arms. "No. I see in your mind that you are constrained by the Laws of Robots as am I. You know that I must follow my programming."

Artep told Wendy, "You should be able to see in Tyhry's mind that she has advanced Nereid femtobots. She can simply make an hierion femtotube and enter the Workshop."

Wendy laughed at Artep. "Then why hasn't she done that?"

Mary asked Tyhry, "Well, go ahead, Tyhry. The Workshop is right over there."

Tyhry said, "I've tried a dozen times. Something seems to be blocking the hierion fields that I generate."

Wendy asked, "Do you really think that Grean would fail to shield the Workshop with a powerful hierion field using advanced Huaoshy technology that is available to Grean?"

Mary took Tyhry by the hand, "Let me take you to the Writers Block."

A visit to Seelie.
Mary, Tyhry and Artep retreated down the trail. Tyhry glanced one last time over her shoulder and muttered, "I found her very attractive."

Artep said, "Sexplay with Wendy is amazing. She can give you an orgasm just by linking telepathically to your mind." Artep began to rise high above the trail. "Speaking of sexplay, I'm going to return to Seelie, unless you have a better idea, Mary."

Mary waved at Artep, "Be off with you. I don't have time to entertain you right now, much as I would like to. Thank you for your prompt assistance and I'm sorry if I interrupted your sexplay."

Tyhry watched Artep flying higher and higher into the artificial sky until she was out of sight then Tyhry asked Mary, "I admit to being curious about the Writers Block... I've heard so much about it. But having failed to gain entry to Grean's Workshop, I too should also be on my way."

Mary said, "What about our deal?"

Tyhry asked, "You can get me into the Workshop? I happen to agree with Wendy, it would violate the Pact if I provided you with a femtotube link to Earth... so no deal."

Teleportation Experiment.
Mary continued down the trail towards the Writers Block, but kept glancing over her shoulder at Tyhry. "Don't be rigid in your thinking like that robotic Wendy. If you believe we are inside a Simulation, then nothing that you do here can possibly disrupt the Pact."

Tyhry wondered: Was that true? If Manny did not want people to use the teleportation equipment at Observer Base in the Final Reality, then would a deal with Mary, a trade of a femtotube to Earth for a way to test the Nereid femtobots might disrupt the Pact in the Final Reality. After carefully contemplating the problem and possibilities, Tyhry shook her head and she told Mary, "You are correct. If I have no luck here, I'll just return to the Final Reality and do my experiment there." Tyhry knew that the residents of Observer Base in the Final Reality had access to the teleportation equipment. Tyhry was tempted to pop herself out of the the Ekcolir Reality Simulation, but now she was curious about what Mary had planned. And Tyhry had long dreamed of visiting the Writers Block. And most importantly, Tyhry was now quite horny as she followed along behind Mary and watched her sexy bottom twitching with each stride along the trail. Tyhry asked, "How can you get me inside the Workshop?"

Mary shook her head. "I can't get in, and that has been very frustrating, however, if you promise to share your Nereid femtobots, then I might just introduce you to someone who can help get you into Grean's Workshop."

Tyhry and Mary in the garden.
The longer Tyhry probed at Mary's mind and thoughts, the more Tyhry was able to tune to her telepathic mind pattern. Now Tyhry could sense that Mary was quite horny, too. Tyhry rushed at Mary from behind and threw her arms around Mary. Mary stumbled and they fell off of the path and landed among a patch of violets. Mary and Tyhry kissed and then Mary whispered, "You really have a penis?"

Tyhry dissolved her clothing away and showed Mary her big pink tryp'At glans. Tyhry tugged on her glans and her already erect penis slid out of its abdominal compartment. Mary placed both of her hands on Tyhry's pretty erection and said, "I've always been curious about the tryp'At. So it is all true? You are a simultaneous hermaphrodite?"

Tyhry was busy pulling off Mary's tight-fitting pants. "I'll explain later. Right now, I want to ravish you." Both Mary and Tyhry were quite eager to play with the other woman's sexy body. After the two woman each had delightful orgasms, Mary was sitting on top of Tyhry and playing with Tyhry's four breasts and gently working herself towards another orgasm by rocking and rubbing herself against Tyhry. Tyhry could wait no longer to learn Mary's secret. Tyhry pushed Mary over and Tyhry held her pinned to the ground among the flowers. Tyhry formed a synapex link between the glans of her penis and Mary's cervix. As their nervous systems connected physically, Tyhry could begin to follow the details of Mary's thoughts. Now Tyhry rubbed a thumb against the erect glans of Mary's clitoris and sent some nanites into Mary's body. Those nanites activated Mary's sex hormone receptors and artificially stimulated the regions of Mary's brain that were active during her orgasms. Mary and Tyhry tumbled into a shared orgasm trance and now with Mary's memories completely open to Tyhry's inspection, Tyhry searched Mary's mind for her secret. Later, as the sensations of their shared orgasm trance were fading, Tyhry asked Mary, "There are nanoscopic femtozoans in Nanoville?"

Mary giggled and rolled Tyhry over. Mary resumed rubbing the erect glans of her clitoris against Tyhry. Mary was tingling in delight in the ho afterglow of her argasm. She told Tyhry, "That was almost as nice as sexplay with Wendy." Mary had also retrieved some memories and thought patterns from Tyhry' mind during their shared orgasm trance. "Unlike you, the femtozoans don't need a constructed hierion tube. They are always nanoscopic. My guess is, if you share your Nereid nanites with the Grendels, the Grendel femtozoans can use those programmable femtobots to get inside the Workshop. And then they will be able to open it from within. If so, then you will be able to just walk inside and then conduct your experiment."

Tyhry tried not to let herself get too distracted as she played with Mary's pretty bounding breasts. Tyhry reminded Mary, "Wendy won't just stand there and let me waltz into the Workshop."

"Leave it to me. I know how to distract Wendy."

First Mary and then Tyhry grabbed another orgasm, then Tyhry reluctantly pulled her erection out of Mary's hot little vagina and got off of Mary and pulled Mary to her feet. Tyhry forced her erection back inside its recessed pocked in her abdomen. Once again they moved along the path that led to the Writers Block. As they walked, Tyhry tried to make sense of what she had seen telepathically in Mary's mind. Tyhry asked, "What is all this about Grendels?"

Nyz and Mary with Artep.
Mary replied, "I'm going to introduce you to our resident Grendel, Nyz. Most of the Grendels who have come to Observer Base decided to discorporate and transcend into the Hierion Domain. However, many of their endosymbionts had minds of their own and some of them now reside in the Nanorealm as femtozoan remnants."

Tyhry said, "How fascinating. I've never understood the precise location of Nanoville."

Mary explained, "That is not really knowledge that you should expect to be shared with mere humans... or tryp'At. In any case, Nanoville is the part of the Nanorealm that was built and managed by and for humans. The Grendel femtozoans are in another part of the Nanorealm. Nyz knows the details."

Tyhry and Mary emerged from the long stairway that connected the Writers Block to the rest of Observer Base. Tyhry asked, "How did Nyx end up at the Writers Block?"

"Oh, the usual. She's quite the story teller. She's trying to make sure that the long history of Grendel Interventionism is recorded." Mary took hold of Tyhry's hand and guided her into the commons of the Writers Block. Mary glanced around. "Hmm... Nyz is not here. I'll send for her." Mary sent a telepathic message to Nyz while taking Tyhry to one of the tables. One of the serving robots immediately came to their table and asked, "What can I bring for you?"

Mary said, "Good evening, Sally. This is Tyhry, who claims to be from the Final Reality."

Earth's Reality Chain.
The robot gazed into Tyhry's eyes and telepathically examined Tyhry's thoughts. Sally seemed skeptical. "Final Reality? An amusing concept. I've always imagined that Earth would have an endless Reality Chain."

Having been frustrated by Wendy's stubbornness, Mary was in no mood to argue with Sally. Mary told Sally, "Tyhry is tryp'At, so I don't know if she will eat, but bring me my usual snack."

Tyhry could see that Sally was fascinated by Tyhry's second row of breasts. Tyhry pulled aside some of her nanite generated hair and showed Sally one of her pointed ears. "Yes, I'm tryp'At, but only recently in my tryp'At body. I still like to eat food. You can bring me some fruit." Tyhry watched the robot return to the kitchen and she muttered, "That machine looks as tasty as Wendy."

Mary said, "I recommend Sally as a sex partner. She never hands out orgasms for free via telepathy... she makes you work for each orgasm, and she makes that "work" great fun. Ah, here comes Nyz."

Nyz the Grendel sat down across the table from Tyhry and said, "It seems strange to once again have a tryp'At here in Eternity."

Mary told Tyhry, "Nyz struggles to use the modern term 'Observer Base'. She claims that this space-time bubble was called 'Eternity' for millions of years."

Tyhry asked Nyz, "You've been on Earth for millions of years?"

Grendel history project at the Writers Block.
Nyz nodded. "I arrived in this star system back when the apes were first evolving. We Grendels protected the human lineage from tinkering by the pek and the bumpha. Then after the crack-down on Earth Interventionism, I took up residence here."

Tyhry said, "I recently learned about intriguing primates called sesterials. You Grendels edited them out of the history of this Reality? Apparently they only existed in the Asimov Reality."

Mary told Tyhry, "We refer to the previous Reality as the Grean Reality, since it was she who ended the Foundation Reality and put an end to positronic robots controlling Observer Base."

Sally returned and placed food and drink on the table, including a tall glass of apple juice that she set in front of Tyhry beside a bowl of fruit. Sally said, "Grean converted all of us positronic robots into probots. Like you Tyhry, I am composed of femtobot components."

Tyhry nodded. "Yes, I know about probots. My father and my sister Rylla have carefully researched Deep Time." Tyhry turned her gaze back to Nyz. Tyhry could sense that Nyz was a powerful telepath, but Tyhry could not catch the thread of her alien telepathic mind pattern. "Mary tells me that you know some femtozoans."

"I do. Tell me: do you really have Nereid femtobots?"

"I do."

Sally and a synpaz replicoid.
Nyz shook her head in wonder. "And to think of how much effort we Grendels put into making sure that humans never even knew about nanites. It seems strange that you were given femtobots by a Nereid. It must be true: you are from the Final Reality."  Nyz waved a hand. "And all this is a Simulation."

For a moment Tyhry watched Mary spooning up and eating what appeared to be ice cream or some similar frozen food. Tyhry picked up her glass of juice and sipped. The fruit juice was tangy and not too sweet, just the way Tyhry liked it. Tyhry glanced at Sally who was standing nearby and said, "Excellent." Tyhry let her eyes travel up and down the contours of Sally's beautiful body.

Sally said, "I'm glad you like it. I saw in your mind what your taste preferences are. Let me know how I can please you... in any way you desire." The robot winked at Tyhry.

Tyhry felt her pulse rate accelerate and she wondered if Sally could use her telepathic abilities to stimulate human emotions. Struggling not to be distracted by the sexy robot, Tyhry shifted her gaze back the the alien face of the Grendel. She explained, "If you can help me get inside Grean's Workshop then I'll gladly share the wonders of my Nereid femtobots with you. I've agreed to provide Mary with a femtotube link to Earth."

Nyz told Tyhry, "I can take you to the Nanorealm. You can ask the femtozoans for help."

Tyhry said, "I'm ready to go."

Nyz said, "The easiest way to show you the way to the Nanorealm is for you and I to link our minds." Nyz reached out and stroked one of Tyhry's lower breasts. Tyhry dissolved her nanite-generated clothing and Nyz began sucking on Tyhry's little nipple. As the sex hormone-rich secretions of Tyhry's lower breast began to flow, Nyz swallowed and then she telepathically told Tyhry: You're breast secretions are quite rich in hormones that will support an iter-body neuronal linkage. Your tryp'At physiology is going to make it difficult to deal with the femtozoans. Nyz pushed her tongue against Tyhry's stiff nipple and quickly established a synapex link between her tongue and the dense network of sensory axons in Tyhry's nipple.

Tyhry's femtozoan in Nanoville.
Tyhry felt her mind linking intimately to that of Nyz. Tyhry could not actually synchronize with the complex mind pattern of the Grendel, but Nyz was feeding Tyhry detailed instructions about how to release her own femtozoan. Tyhry asked Nyz: Is there no other way for me to contact the Grendels in the Nanorealm? I'm not sure I want to lose my femtozoan. Tyhry had been told by Tyna that telepaths need their femtozoan.

Nyz replied telepathically: Would you really want to hold your femtozoan against its will? Nyz was examining Tyhry's thoughts. Naz assured Tyhry: You needed your femtozoan when your brain was learning to recognize telepathic mind patterns, but you no longer need any help with that.

Once again Tyhry was tempted to return to the Final Reality, but then she told herself: Don't be such a coward.

Nyz took her mouth off of Tyhry's breast and licked her lips. She pulled a small hand-held device out of her pocket and activated it. A holographic display activated. "Hello, Trey-Wyk. I hope I am not calling at an inconvenient time."

A Grendel face appeared in the display. "I've been expecting your call. Wendy already contacted me and warned me not to help Tyhry."

Nyz handed the control rod for the holographic display to Tyhry, then Tyhry could see that there was now a copy of both her and Nyz with Trey in the Nanorealm. Tyhry had a very intimate telepathic linkage to her copy in the Nanorealm. She asked Nyz, "That is my femtozoan?"

Tyhry's femtozoan and Trey the Grendel femtozoan.
Nyz nodded, but in the Nanorealm, Tyhry's femtozoan was asking Trey if it was possible for a femtozoan to enter Grean's Workshop.

The femtozoans were in telepathic contact. Tyhry could follow along as Trey told Tyhry's femtozoan: You'd be surprised what a femtozoan can do. The telepathic minds of Tyhry's femtozoan and Trey were mingling and they were caught up in a powerful sensation of love and wonder as their alien minds fused. Tyhry closed her eyes and imagined making love to the Grendel femtozoan. Via the telepathic linkage to her own femtozoan, Tyhry was sexually stimulated and she experienced an intense orgasm.

Tyhry heard Nyz: I told you there would be trouble. Your femtozoan might become so enamored of femtozoan sexplay that it will not return to you from the Nanorealm. Overcome by the intense sensations being experienced by her femtozoan, Tyhry went limp and slumped onto the table.

Several minutes later, Tyhry lifted her head and found herself looking into the concerned face of Mary. Nyz said, "She's back. They are both back."

Tyhry now knew that her femtozoan was there, a part of herself. And Tyhry now knew exactly how her femtozoan could get inside Grean's Workshop. Just then, Wendy appeared, standing beside the table, having teleported over from the Workshop. Wendy spoke sternly to Tyhry, "Tyhry, go back to your Reality before it is too late."

Tyhry and Wendy at the Writers Block.
Tyhry looked at Mary for help. Mary rose to stand close to Wendy and told Wendy, "You are nervous and horny, my dear. Come with me to my apartments. We'll play and you can relax."

Wendy kissed Mary passionately on the lips and said, "Don't distract me, lover. Grean left me here with explicit orders to defend the Pact."

Mary said, "Most of us believe that the Final Reality has already been formed... we are in the twilight of this Reality. And I believe Tyhry: we are inside a Simulation. Allow Tyhry to perform her little experiment." Mary took hold of Wendy's hand and tugged. "Come with me."

Tyhry now moved very close to Wendy and she told the robot, "I can sense your telepathic mind pushing at me. I'd love to join you and Mary in a sexplay session, but I'm here on a mission." Tyhry kissed Wendy on the lips then puled away. Tyhry told Wendy, "My femtozoan is inside the Workshop." Suddenly Tyhry disappeared.
